Friday, Nov. 8th - Chef Mickey's & MK

We slept in this morning till 7:00 am. ;) We finished our packing and got ready for our last Disney day. I must start and finish any Disney trip with the MK.

After a quick check-out, we headed to the CR for our Chef Mickey's breakfast. We arrived about 30 minutes early for our ps but they seated us right away, thank you. This was a fun, high energy character meal. We got to see Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale all attired in their chef uniforms. They had a huge breakfast buffet containing Mickey waffles, Mickey pancakes, loads of pastries, egg dishes, breakfast pizzas,a nice variety of fresh fruit, bacon, sausage, french toast wedges and lots of other things I didn't have room for! ;) The Mickey waffles and pancakes were fun and the french toast wedges were a great sweet to finish. We all ate a bunch of fruit. It was all very fresh. We got some great character pictures too. Oh and they throw a "party" every 45 minutes where the characters dance around and everyone is encouraged to twirl their napkins. Cute! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Then onto the MK! Our flight out was not until 6:45 so we did have quite a bit of time left at MK. I liked this fact! We headed straight for Adventreland upon arrival and rode Alladin's Magic Carpets. Right before our turn Jasmine and Alladin walked over to greet those waiting and then rode the ride too! After their ride they stood in front of the ride to meet and greet more people and were joined by "Genie." They were both real sweet!

We then toured the bazaar areas and played with some of their instruments and then took a short cut over to Liberty Square and onto Fantasyland. I guess I should mention the park was pretty packed even IASW had a line out its front!! We waited as I needed to ride one last time! Peter Pan was not in operation for some reason, but I heard a cm say they were hoping to have it up soon. We then went on the Carousel three times in a row!!! DD just adores horses so she kept asking to go again and since this line was short we took advantage. She wanted a last Dumbo ride, but the line was way to long. We decided to head to Tomorrowland and as we passed Pooh we saw a "wait time" of 55 minutes and Fastpasses were already in the 5:00 - 6:00 hour!!! Yikes!

Since we knew DD would need a nap and had no choice today but to sleep in her stroller we headed over to TTA hoping the ride would lull her to sleep. It worked!!!! While resting comfortably on her Daddy she fell right asleep. So we went around twice more! :D Gotta love the TTA!!! We were even able to carry her off the ride and put her in our reclining stroller and she was still asleep! :D We strolled out of Tomorrowland and parked her and us at a table in the counter service eatery right between Tomorrowland and Main St. (sorry, can't remember its name) We got a snack and she slept for an hour. :D Her nap would help her make it through our long day.

After she woke up we did our last Disney shopping on Main St. By this time people were starting to line up for the parade at 3:00. So we too found a great spot on the curb right in front of the train station. I got Tatiana a popcorn snack while we were waiting. There were also lots of characters out at this time all over Town Square and they sent down about 3 high school marching bands before the official parade started. That was great for the waiting crowds.

This was our only parade this trip and it was an AWESOME ending to our vacation. Tatiana really enjoyed it. I love parades too and I think even DH who says he's not a parade lover liked it too.

The parade ended and we walked out to catch our last monorail ride to TTC. :( (sniff, sniff) I was really sad about leaving. We had the most wonderful week! :( I think the only thing that kept me from actually shedding a tear was that we are already planning another trip next year, hopefully around Halloween. DH kept reminding me of it b/c he could tell I was sad.

Our trip to the airport and flight home were thankfully uneventful. We got home about 10:30 that night. My DH teased me on the way home that he bet I'd be on the Dis boards as soon as we got home. I told him I'd be too sleepy. But he was right! I somehow got a second wind and was on as soon as we had put DD to sleep!!!! :D

Thanks for reading my trip reports! :D
Hope your trips are magical as well!

That last day is one of the saddest moments in history I do believe - a great trip - now to start planning the next one - thanks for posting!

Our last park day we went to MK that night and saw Mickey during the fireworks to thank him for all the fun. I cried. We saw Spectromagic and that was a great ending too. Thanks for sharing I sure did enjoy your trip reports!

Thank you Jennifer and Marla for all the nice comments on my trip reports.

It's been exactly a week now that we've been back and today both DH and I are having post-WDW blues real bad. :( Guess we really need to get planning on our trip for next year.

I loved all your trip reports, thank you! Our time is creeping up now and I am getting so excited. I have been cooped up in the house with two cases of chicken pox with my kids, so reading the DiS has been my little escape. I too, worry about the last day of our trip. For us though, we can come home and look forward to getting ready for Christmas, so it shouldn't be too bad. Thanks again! Tonia

Wonderful report! And sounds like a magical vacation!:)

Thanks Boots and TigerLilly'sMom!

TigerLilly'sMom - Hope your upcoming trip is very magical!!!

And maybe we could plan our next trip together!!!! I think that we will be going around halloween as well. After reading about MNSSHP I think we are going to try to get that in. I can totally relate to the last day blues and still wish that I could get one last look at the castle as I do miss it so!!! Here's to planning next year's adventure!!!! Thanks for sharing!!
