Minnie and Mickey and Harry!! Oh My! Chase's Wish Trip 6/23-6/29

All of the sun and heat started to get to Chase so he started getting very cranky. We decided that we would let Courtney and Nana ride the rockin rollercoaster and I returned the stroller and got drinks. After that we knew it was time to go back to the village and regroup!

We stopped at Pollo Tropical on our way back and ate it in the villa. Chase fell asleep and Nana needed a nap too! So I figured it would be a great idea to take the girls to the pool for some water fun!

The girls loved playing in the pool and it was a great way to cool off!

After we finished up at the pool we decided to go back and get dressed for Sea World. In a way I wanted to stay back at the village and fool around but the kids wanted to go. It started raining while we were getting dressed. But by the time we got in the jeep to leave the rain had stopped.

We pull up at Sea World and the parking attendant told us to park right up front. We were actually right across the street from the front gate! I realized that this park didn't look wet at all eventhough the sky was really grey. People were leaving in droves and I wondered if that was a bad or good thing?

Once we got inside we found out that it hadn't actually rained, but since there was a little thunder and lightening the shut the rides down for a while. No worries for us, we just wanted to explore and see what was going on. It had cooled down considerably and that was enough to make us happy!

We stopped for temporary tattoos for the girls. Chase didn't want any of that. Just something to drink.

Selah wanted a mermaid tattoo and was too happy that they had a few to choose from!

Courtney ended up getting a butterfly on her wrist!

I got a little design (excuse my ugly feet )

And my mom got her face painted which would be the source of much embarassment for Courtney for the rest of the evening!

Everything ended up being absolutely Free since we were on our M.A.W. trip!! I was so greatful for that little gesture!

When we finished with that the kids wanted a snack. I found a little snack shop right by the tattoos and I got them some drinks and chips. And for myself and Nana, we got daquiris! (yes they did have alocohol in them) and we must got some kind of discount again because all that only came to $8 We were really coming in contact with really nice employees at Sea World and I started to feel really bad about not wanting to come!

After our snack attack we split up because the little ones were being very naughty. Chase was very whiny and Selah was extremely hyper, jumping up and down, doing jumping jacks and spins all over the place. I knew that Nana did not have the patience to deal with them so I told her and Coxrutney to go have fun and I took the little ones to Dolphin cove. The dolphins weren't coming around so we didn't get a chance to feed them. But we moved on to see the penguins and they LOVED it! We played a game and they won some penguins and I found a jewelry booth and got a bracelet with my name on it made, a necklace with Courtney's name made for her. We wandered a bit further and found an artist doing charicatures (sorry about the spelling) I wasn't sure about having this done because I didn't think they would sit, but the guy was awesome and told me that MAW families get a %30 discount!

So I got them each one!

Here are pictures of the kids playing with their penguins and of them sitting pretty nicely for their pictures!

We met back up with Courtney and my mom who told us that the rides had reopened and they got a chance to ride Manta. I rode Kraken with her and by that time the fireworks show was getting ready to start!

We found a nice spot to watch them that was far enough away so that they weren't too loud and scary for Chase, but that was perfect for us to see. I video taped them...I'm not sure why? And I haven't got around to watching the video yet so I have no idea how it turned out. The show was actually really great though!

We left Sea World feeling really happy about our day and stopped to grab dinner. We ended up grabbing some Chinese takeout close to GKTW and took it back to eat.

By this point of the trip I was really glad that we had came, even though it was hot as ever. I could tell that the kids were having a really good time. Chase enjoyed the little things like the train at the village, watching all of the characters (from far away) and riding the rides! He LOVED all of the popcorn and ice cream that he was allowed to eat too!

Courtney was really happy that she had a chance to do the American Idol experience because she missed the village idol on our first night there. She also really enjoyed the WWOHP and the rides there!

Nana was just happy that she was there to be a part of the kids memories! She enjoyed the shows and AK a lot despite the heat!

I was getting a lot of enjoyment just knowing that everyone was having such a wonderful time!

Next up is our last full day of fun! MK and Epcott!

I am really enjoying all the pictures and the report. It does sound like everyone is enjoying themselves. I think sometimes it helps to split up and that seems to be working wonderfully for you guys! Giving Courtney some time to get in on the fun rides.

I love that Chase loved Buzz and warmed up to the The Little Einstein, Leo, I think it was.

Hi Leah! I can't believe I"m just now finding your TR! It looks like Chase had a wonderful wish. You did so much on your trip! And it seems to be a perfect split between things Chase wanted to do as well as Selah and Courtney. Ours are closer together so I'm hoping we won't be split up too much but I'm pretty sure Caiden is going to miss the 40in height requirement by a smidge so we'll need to split up a bit as well. I can't wait to hear more and see more pics from your visit!

I'm glad it worked out too. It was a little rough but I wanted everyone to have a good time and I knew that was the best way to make sure that everyone got to do things that they really wanted to do!

Thank goodness Chase warmed up to some of the character photos!! He's just not a photo kid! Almost everytime that we tell him to smile for the camera he frowns and turns away!!!

Chase is slightly under the 40 inch height requirement. I didn't think he would be because I measured him at home. But there were a few things that he couldn't ride! He didn't complain too much. But Selah on the other hand wanted to ride all of the "Big people" rollercoasters and she often had FITS because she was too small! I know that we are definitely going to have to go back when the kids are both a lot bigger!

I thought the face painting was really cool too! Courtney..uh..not so much!! And I have to admitt I did laugh because she was just soo embarassed!

So it was our last full day of fun! I decided to get up early start packing and then go for my walk! I came back and everyone was up and slowly getting ready. We dressed and made our way over to breakfast.

After breakfast we headed off to MK. We decided to split up again. I took the little ones over to Toontown and My mom and Courtney headed off to have their own fun. I told them that we would meet up for lunch. We had reservations at the Crystal Palace for lunch and I was really excited about it!

So off to Toontwon we go! We rode the Barnstormer three times in a row! They played on Donald's boat, we rode the Winnie the Pooh ride, Dumbo and the Mad Tea Party! We decided to check out Mickey's house and we loved it!!!

We all agreed that it was VERY messy and that "I" would do such a good job cleaning it up because I am such a good cleaner that was their words!

We headed over to the little store and looked around for some souveniers. Chase didn't see anything that he really wanted, but Selah saw some glittery pink Mickey ears on springs and a pink Mickey bracelet. A CM came over to us and told us there were great picture opportunities in the back and took us to see Mickey and Minnie! Those pictures are on my Photopass CD so I will be sure to include them at the end of the TR!

It was getting late so I figured I'd call my mom and Courtney so that we could meet up for our lunch plans.

I told her how to get over to the Crystal Palace and I told her that we would wait for her. The parade was going on and I figured it would take them a good while so we signed in, got our pager and started to wait.

The kids found a cool fountain to play in while we waitied.

I tried to snap a few pictures of the parade too.

Kids love fountains! I sweat we could go on vacation to a fountain that has ducks and squirrels and they'd be thrilled. lol! You were right next to the Wish Lounge...did you go in and check it out???

I agree! When I showed him the pictures he was so excited and wanted to go back! Of course we were back home by then My kids LOVE the water!! So fountains, spray parks, pools heck even the bathtub makes them so happy!

Yep, that was our "nap lounge". Well, I guess it's good that you guys didn't "need" it for the kids. And nice that your mom could!

Finally after about 25 minutes my mom and Courtney show up and guess what??? THEY HAD ALREADY EATEN!!!! Oh my I was so upset, but starving So I told the two of them that they might as well go head and find more things to ride or they could always go get some cool air and relax in the Wish Lounge. I was determined for Chase to eat at the Crystal Palace because he LOVES Pooh and friends!!! So we debated for a few minutes and they decided to go ride and hang out in the park for a little while longer while I ate with the kids!

So I went to the front and changed our reservation attendees and we were all set! Right after my mom and Courtney left our pager went off and we hurried inside!

I was really excited because Chase was so happy!!! He immediately started looking for Pooh! Selah wanted to see Piglet and was very hungry. So I got us situated and off to the buffet we go! I have to say that I REALLY enjoyed the food here! They had some really great salad choices. There was one with some shrimp and veges that was to die for!! Selah was even impressed and ate a good deal and she hardly EVER eats anything!!!

Chase did start to get a little impatient during the meal because he could see Pooh but he wasn't at our table. He asked me several times if he could go get him but I assured him that he would be right over as soon as he finished talked to some of the other kids and their families!

I can't remember now who the first was to come over to our table. I think it may have been Eyore? But I will say this, they each spent a very nice amount of time interacting with the kids!

Tigger was a HUGE hit with Chase!!! He LOVES tigers so I knew he would really enjoy meeting him!

I just have to say that I absolutely LOVE this picture!!! I just couldn't help but smile and get teary because Chase was really not as into the whole Character thing at first. He was even a little standoffish at times. But he really seemed to enjoy this experience a lot!

Chase was really not happy about having to share Tigger with Selah

The autograph books really came in handy!! I am so glad that we got them from the Big Give!
