What are the minimum points needed for DVC membership at Villas of Grand Californian Hotel ?

I believe it is 160 points for a new membership, but do not know this to be a fact..

If you mean direct purchase from Disney, if you call them and ask they may sell you as little as 50 points. I think there was a thread around here somewhere where people posted that they were able to buy less than the stated minimum direct from Disney. It was not a announced promotion and I am not sure if it is still going on. Call and ask to be sure.

i thought the minimum for any buy in through Disney was 160???

I bought 100 for VGC.

Sometime in late Spring, Disney started allowing new buyers in at the newer resorts with less than 160. I don't know if it was ever published or not and whether or not it is still being done, but as PP mentioned, some have gotten in with only 100 points.
