Minimum Expenditure Question

Hello guys and gals, I was hoping someone might be able to answer a question I had about the minimum expenditure limits. When the Disney Weddings website states that there is a min. expenditure for Custom Weddings of $7500 Monday through Thursday, does that mean just on just the wedding ceremony itself, or can that include money you spend on the reception as well? Of course I want to have the fairytale wedding and reception, but if there’s a $7500 min. expenditure for both separately I don’t know how realistic my ideal day is on the budget I’m currently working with. I guess this is also a good way of bridging my other question: for those who had a Disney Wedding on a budget, what are your best money saving suggestions? My honey and I are planning a Disney Wedding for Feb. 2006, so we’re now trying to work out some details before we call and tentatively save our date next month.

That $7,500 covers everything on the day of the wedding. From your flowers, ceremony costs, reception costs, photograpy and videography (if you use DPS) and dessert party costs if you choose to have one.

For cost saving ideas, if you don't need to use Disney to meet the minimums, look at outside vendors for photography, video, and floral. That can save you a ton of money. Also, pick and choose the extras you want carefully. You dont have to have all the extras to make your day magical.

If you do the MK Photo Session the day of the wedding, that counts, too. Pretty much ANY expense through Disney FTW or DPS on the wedding day counts - but nothing before or after.

Take jack&sally's advice... use outside services once you approach that $7500 mark to help save on costs. That's what we did! Our photographer, videographer, and wedding decorations were all from outside companies.
