mini van rental price

Hi again. So far we have only been quoted prices between $250.00-$300.00 a week for a mini van. That seems a bit high to me. We usually just get a mid sized car, but thought a van would be nice to haul around the 5 of us since we will be spending a lot of time traveling to and from UO and IOA from our WDW resort. Would you spend the extra to get the van...the extra room and comfort, or just get a smaller, less expensive car? I just hate wasting money. Was just hoping to find a good deal (first week in June). I keep thinking of all the money I could spend at the wonderful outlet mall with the extra spent on the van
Would you rather have more spending money, or a bigger, more comfortable vehicle?

We had the same dilemma. We are a group of 5 and I thought we'd need the mini-van. But I couldn' t find a quote less than $450. for the 12 days we'd be needing it. I checked one day and found a chevy impala for $246. A friend of ours has one so we took a look at it and figured $200. in our pockets was alot more fun!!! The only time I think we will have any issue at ll is when we leave Orlando after 6 days to visit family in Wellington and that's a 3 1/2 hr drive, it'll probably seem cramped as we are used to driving a suburban. I vote for spending the $$$ on fun things - not the wheels getting you there!!!

We always rent a minivan (we usually go in the fall).

Have gotten good base rates of $199 - $219 for a week, but by the time all taxes and fees are added on the total is usually close to $280-$300.

I've been watching this board closely, and have not seen anyone get a minivan for less than that.

We value the space, having 3 children.

Anyone else get a better rate on a minivan??

I agree with the previous poster. I have not seen a minivan for less than $199 base rate. That is the rate we got for June using the KISS3 code through Dollar. We are a family of 5 with three kids five and under. We like a minivan for the extra space, especially for the luggage.
