Posting here because this is the board I am on the most.....it can be removed later, if needed
Any questions, ask away
I met Simbas Mom, 4greatboys and an unknown DIS person....she was in character and couldn't talk. That was it the whole trip.
The weather at WDW was great. Cool a couple of days, but only rained one morning.
We wore pants most evenings and jackets, but we never needed to wear both our sweatshirts and wind breakers. It was great!
We had snow here too, while I was away. Glad I missed it. It is all gone now and back to high 40s.
Okay....trip highlights
We had such a good time!!
hated POP though....never again. Beds were very bad!! Hard and none giving. We both had sore backs and my shoulder still hurts. An issue with housekeeping that took 3 days
Noisy!! We were on the 4th floor at the back and could always here the utility carts transfering laundry, garbage or what ever. We will dream about that noise
Turbo toilets......very loud. We could also hear the showers going
Landed early....and I had one suitcase lost!!
On a nonstop
Guess it never got loaded. So I wasn't in a very good mood. It was the one with all my clothes. Lily was in the other, so she was safe.
We checked in and got our rooms.....at about 8:30...so that was good!!
Got our Birthday pins and Kathy's 1st visit pin at check in.
Food court food was ho hum...so we only ate there that morning and evening.
We headed to MK. Then to tea where we were sung to, given birthday tiaras (which we wore for the rest of the trip....they were great and must have been new because no one had seen them before), roses and cupcakes
the start of many!!
The tiaras were a highlight and all the attention they got us. Lots of Happy Birthdays, the princesses have arrived, bows and curtsies
Loads of fun.
It was very crowed that weekend. Still marathon people around and a lot of Brazilian groups.
DH send us a birthday surprise pack
And my suitcase was in the room when we returned from tea
We got birthday treats at every sit down restaurant
Mostly cupcakes, but chocolate mousse in a chocolate shell at Le Cellier, ice cream sundae at Sci Fi, strawberry shortcake and ice cream at Margaritaville. The only one that didn't give us something was Marakesh
We also got a brownie at Casey's, a discount at the International Food Court at USF and free Mickey Bars at The Studios
Very fun!!
We got Dream certificates from Epcot ...for being princesses.
And one at CRT for being birthday princesses.
We got Dream ears while waiting in line for Dumbo.
We got reserved seating at Fantasmic! And VIP seating at the car stunt show...that was very cool. Met the director and he wished us a happy birthday and mentioned Kathy's first trip during the show
Lots of attention at the Adventure's Club. We went 4 nights in a row and they always mentioned that that princesses were back. Very fun!
Kathy loved it all. We were busy the whole time....no breaks. But we did almost everything!! She had to.
She was in the Indiana Jones show and we got picked for the pirate tutorial
That made my trip!!
We got a lot of character signings. That was actually fun. Some were so funny and goofed around with us. We did the Visa signing. Very nice. All alone in a room with Mickey and Pluto and then we got a picture from that.
Dapper Dans sang (and joked with us), Drum and Fife guys also played Happy Birthday to us, one of the bus drivers had the bus sing also.
Dining was most excellent.
We ate at: the tea, CRT (very good!!), Plaza, Le Cellier, Earl x 2, 50's Prime Time, Sci Fi, Wetzel's, fish and chip stand at Epcot, Chef Mickey's, Luau, Hoop, Flame Tree, Margaritaville, International Food Court, House of Blues, Pepper Market, Cooke's, Marekesh, Casey's, Main Street Bakery
, Ohana, Columbia Harbor House.
At Ohana the server was super nice. He stalled out dessert so we could stay for the fireworks. That was great. We had seen them from in front of the castle, underneath the castle
(that was CRT night), so this was a great change.
Kathy loved La Nouba....you really need to see it sometime.
The Keys to the Kingdom tour was good....but our guide was not the best. Not enough info and trivia....too many jokes
Hmmm...that is all I can remember off hand. Let me know if you want more details on some things.
