Hey all!! Spent five days at FW and had a blast. Just going to give highlights. Hopefully I can figure out how to post pictures soon.
We arrived on Sunday March 29. Check in was a breeze. I did the online check-in. It saved a few minutes. We were on site 1733. Nice site except it butts up against the CS. We got to listen to the air conditioner fans all day and all night. Got our golf cart and did some looping. The rain had come through earlier and the temperature was dropping. It got rather cool.
Monday we went to DD. Nothing really exciting happened. That new balloon ride was doing test runs that day. I sure wouldn't pay money to go up in it. I could just go to the top floor of one of the resorts and get pretty much the same view for nothing.
Tuesday my Uncle and his lady friend came to spend the day with us. She has never been to Disney so it was fun showing her some of the sights. Took them all around FW and then over to the Contemporary. She had her first monorail ride and hated it. She suffers from motion sickness. Poor thing. But all in all we had a good day.
Wednesday we went to Fantasia Gardens for mini-golf. That was so much fun. We did the easy course. It was our sons first time playing mini-golf. I guess we are bad parents in that he is 10 and has never played before. We went to the ESPN Club for lunch. The food was good but the drinks were awful. We each had the Ultimate Long Island Iced Tea. Worst drink ever. Guess it is because they used top-shelf liquors like Grey Goose and Patron. We are use to middle of the road liquors. We like cheap things.
Thursday was break down camp day so we didn't do much. We were on the road by 10:30 heading home.
All in all it was a great time. I got to meet and talk to a couple of Disboards members.
Goingtoseethemouse- Talked to you real quick one afternoon. Great setup you have.
Mickey Mobile- Enjoyed talking to you and finding out we only live a couple of miles from each other. Hope the little one didn't keep you awake any other night. Hope you enjoyed your vacation.
MaineMechanic-(I think that was your name)- Saw you looping a few times and waved. Sorry we didn't get to talk.
Tigger0624- Saw your setup in 1600 loop. DH and I commented on the birthday decorations. Saw you outside a couple of times had I known it was you I would of said hi.
Would of loved to of met and talked to some of you other guys. Maybe next time. Hopefully soon I'll learn how to post pictures.
