Just back home from long 2 1/2 week trip to Orlando. First 2 weeks at Marriott Grande Vista in a 3 bedroom and then last 5 days at BWV studio # 3052.
We had a great first 2 weeks vacationing with DH's family. I was very eager to get to BWV but was a bit worried about going from a 3 bedroom to a studio at BWV.
We went to check in at 12:00 pm on 6/12. Guard gave us our first "Welcome Home" of the day...very friendly.
We planned on spending the day at the pool till our room was ready but we were pleasantly surprised that our room was ready. Cm who checked us in was very friendly and helpful and said he got us a very nice room. Room # 3052 is located right above the exercise room with a view of Luna pool....very nice. As soon as we walked in the room, DH & I agreed that we rather be at the BWV studio than at the Grande Vista 3 bedroom anyday. Our family of 5 (DH, Me, DS8, DS6 and DD 7 months) fit fine. This room had a day bed which our DS6 said was his and he slept there everynight with no complaints.
The room was in great shape and we were surprised that all our luggage ( 5 big bags of stuff) fit in the studio so well.
Kids had a wonderful time at the Luna Pool and the Community Hall with the free games.
DH used the exercise room several times and said it was one of the better ones he has been in at a resort.
We ate at Spoodles one night and the food was good. We ate at Boma's on the 12th for our anniversary and loved it so much that we went back again our last night. Even our kids enjoyed Boma's!
Loved the Cinnamon yummy at the Boardwalk Bakery
We walked about the Boardwalk several nights but didn't see any of the entertainers..I'm sure the rain had something to do with it.
Only time we had a "problem" was that there was no hot water one morning. I called and they said there were aware and working on it. Everything was fine about 1 hour later.
We also visited SSR and toured the models. Rooms look very nice, especially the 3 bedroom. But we realized that we are more hotel/resort types. We like the valet service/ roomservice / boardwalk action.
We were sad to leave, especially since we won't be returning for 2 years because we are going on the Disney West Coast cruise next year.
We love BWV and WDW!
