Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

I love all the adorable wedding items! That silver picture frame is seriously cute!

I'm also currently in love with the "it's a small world" collection - everything in it is so cheerful and precious!

Just returned your PM and came over to check it out! You're not a dummy! Cell phones do crazy things sometimes and aren't always the most user friendly

Chris and I bought those "kookie pens" over the summer for people to sign our guestbook with! We plan on picking up some more stuff when we're there in Jan/Feb...thanks for posting all of that

I did that to another DISer one time, too. :sad2:

That's fun that your guests will sign the register with Mickey and Minnie pens. :goodvibes Too bad we don't really live in DIStown. We would fill the DIStown Chapel up for you and for tinkgurl come wedding times!

I love your shopping pics. I have been making shopping lists since I discovered your trip reports. I didn't get everything on the list when we were there in September, but I sure did give it a try. I really regret not getting more of the 40th anniversary merchandise especially since we were in the MK on October 1st.

So cute that Bella is so excited to go on her next trip. There is nothing like a child's enthusiasm of an upcoming trip to the world...or an adult's for that matter.

I hope to look over any 40th merchandise that is left when we go next month and see if there is any final thing I 'need'. I think I am okay with the pin and the truck, though.

Bella has big proclamations of talking to characters, too. She claims she's going to hug them, as well. :thumbsup2

I am a little sad that I won't be making it to Disney to help celebrate its 40th (and stock up on souvenirs), but I will not miss its 50th!

I found the Holiday Wishes CD on ebay this morning. There was a Candlelight Processional one, too, but it was very pricey. I will wait on that one until I can buy it on a trip.

We're all partying in WDW in the 50th, right? :dance3:

Ok those Thanksgiving food-themed photos have made me hungry! Between that and shopping pictures I definitely need something indulgent now! Chocolate....where are you....????
I'm glad you all had a nice Thanksgiving!

Main Street - The Confectionery. ;)

Sounds great! I actually have stayed at both of the other All Stars before, but only Movies at Christmas time! I'd love to see Music in all its Christmas glory. This will me my first time at Sports (not sure if I said that before!) and I'm hoping for the Surf section. It looks cute!

Sounds like a great meal! I LOVE chicken and dumplins.

I always love looking at your shopping pictures. Hoping they'll have still have some 40th stuff in a couple weeks!

Being in Surf's Up was great. We were right by the main building. Didn't have a great view or anything, but we didn't care. We were seconds away from the pool and main building.

I hope they do still have some 40th merchandise, because I want one last look.

I'm back! The last few weeks were a zoo but I'm caught up now.

I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving. We had a great weekend - everyone was home except my brother in CA, but we Skyped with him a few times so that was nice. As of today, I'm a mere 5 weeks from my trip!! Ahh! It'll go fast, I know.

I loved all the Christmas pictures! One of these years, I will spend Christmas day at WDW.

MeMom, Disney Shopping's website is having Cyber Monday sales today. Have you checked those out??

I glanced, but I am staying away from shopping. I got the girls some clothes, which I gave to them this weekend. I also got them 3 movies, and I'll give them those in two weeks. Other than that, I'm not buying them anything. I'll let them pick out a little something in Disney World.

This will be the second Christmas Day for Jill, Brooklynn, and me. Last time, though, we didn't get there until pretty late. I will never forget checking in at All Star Music and seeing the people hanging out in the pool watching The Santa Clause on the big screen. We went straight to Magic Kingdom! This year, we will get there much earlier.

Now I've got a hankerin' for chicken and dumplins!!! Back when I was a new, young, underpaid attorney, I worked a second job at Cracker Barrel and ate that all the time!!! I took that job to pay for a trip to London/Scotland. That's also where I met my husband.

Now I'm an old underpaid attorney working a second job at selling Pampered Chef. Also to pay for a trip to London/Paris. Still have the husband.

But I digress. The nearest Cracker Barrel is 40 minutes away. God forbid I actually MAKE my own!!

You better not say hankerin' in front of your clients. They might not be willing to pay you as much if they think you are a downhome girl!

That's neat that you met your husband on a trip. Very cool. ::yes::

I confes that in my old age, I cheat on the dumplings. I used to roll them from scratch, but now I roll biscuits and cut them instead. :rolleyes1

Sheree, that's too funny!

We've never eaten at a Cracker Barrel (gasp) but recently DH told me that since it's buzzed about on the DIS so much (he "secretly" reads dining reports over my shoulder sometimes) we should give it a try.

We've always though it was on the same level as a Denny's (which here in Canada are naaaaasty) but he's beginning to think we must be misinformed about that...are we?

We are flying "home" to Ontario for Christmas so we'll be in Seattle for the flight in a couple of weeks. Do you think we should make a point of eating there?

MeMom, those merchandise pics are great! I'm loving the fact that you're taking note of the prices on some things. We'll be in Disneyland in July and I'm thinking I'll need at least $200 for souvies!!

I think I need a Disney themed kitchen! Everything is so cute!

Cracker Barrel is good, and there is a lot to choose from. You should give it a try. They are nice and clean, and it's fun to look around in the gift shop when the meal is over.

I have some Mickey utensils and a Mickey ice cube tray. My kitchen is not Mickey, but it does have a big Wilderness Lodge wall hanging, so it has the Disney touch.

I love all the adorable wedding items! That silver picture frame is seriously cute!

I'm also currently in love with the "it's a small world" collection - everything in it is so cheerful and precious!

I think you could make Disney touches in a wedding as subtle or as loud as you wanted with all of the choices they have to offer. Jill and John had Disney music at their wedding, but it was soft, sweet instrumental and was beautiful.

Look, Mickey, it's Christmas time in Magic Kingdom!

Perhaps I should clarify a few things.

I met my DH while we were both working at the Cracker Barrel. It was his second job too. His job was to actually make the dumplins and the biscuits! (no he doesn't EVER make them anymore) I was a cashier. I went on the trip alone. It was before I started dating him and I did not meet any men on my trip.

I also work for the government (no actual clients - just serving the public and the one judge for whom I work). Hence the underpaid part.
Although if I said hankering' around here, people would generally look at me funny. Not a common word in MN!

LOVING all the Christmas pictures!!! Two years ago we were packing for our Holiday at WDW and 3 day cruise trip...sigh. One of my best Disney trips for sure! Despite having lots of in-laws and scheduling meals etc. for 12!

Do you have snow this morning, MeMom?

I have a picture of the Osborne Lights as my desktop background right now! As we get closer to Christmas, it may become the Castle. :santa:

That's fun that your guests will sign the register with Mickey and Minnie pens. :goodvibes Too bad we don't really live in DIStown. We would fill the DIStown Chapel up for you and for tinkgurl come wedding times!

We saw those pens and thought they would be a perfect Disney touch for our day. Sometimes I wish I really did live in DIStown...I feel like people would be nicer and life would have less stress there! In reality though, I wish I was able to invite many of my DIS friends to the wedding and I'm sure tinkgurl feels the same! My students keep telling me they're all coming to my wedding, one going so far as to say he's going to walk me down the aisle with my dad :rotfl: It makes me feel good that they're happy for me and also makes me realize I'm going to miss them when I'm done in 3 weeks.

Love all the WDW Christmas pictures you're posting. I can't believe how many people were crowded under the Osbourne Lights! Either way, they're still gorgeous :santa: :cloud9:

Snow! WOW! I am really jealous! I'd love to see some. And I like that kind that just looks pretty coming down but doesn't cause a mess.

I really want to see the Christmas around the world thing they do at Epcot someday. To me that is the only drawback to going in November. For some reason Epcot is slower to get in the Christmas spirit and we have never seen any of that stuff before Thanksgiving like the other parks do.

all caught up. We are back from our Trip to Disney -- Do date, I have dragged Joe to Disney 26 times since we started dating in 2004. I think I must have gone 35 lol... luckily the in-laws are only 15 minutes away so we don't only have to use the timeshare. When are you planning your trip after the Holidays? We are going mid January for a long weekend and then for ten days at the end of April. I am glad you guys had a nice Thanksgiivng....

I can't believe that some in the south are getting snow already. It was 73 degrees here yesterday!!!! It is cold today though - starting to feel like the holiday season.

Memom, we booked a short getaway in February for Pop Century!!!! :yay: We usually only go once a year, but we got APs this year since we are going earlier in September than last year, and they are calling to me. I had the idea for Pop because of you :goodvibes My job is super stressful this time of year, and I am feeling the need to go to my happy place. Not sure if we are going to go thru with the trip (depends on DH job), but it is fun to dream :thumbsup2

All caught up. I was almost all caught up but then with my mom and dad here and Thanksgiving I got behind again. I loved the picture of hollywood Brooklynn driving the car and the one of sweet Bella on Dumbo.

This is one of the cutest pictures I have ever seen.

Little girl, big elephant. :cutie:

I can't believe you guys have snow! It's been warm here (in the upper 60s here the past few days), but it's cooler today and rainy. I hope the snow isn't going to come our way anytime soon. I can do without a white Christmas!

Hi friends, glad to see everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I'm really enjoying all the Christmas pics! I'm getting very excitted!!!:yay:

Work has been kinda crazy...I'm working a 12 hr shift today.

I just wanted to pop in on my diner break to ask if you could keep my DMom in your thoughts tomorrow morning.
She is having eye surgery and I just want it to go well for her....:goodvibes

Good night all!

Oh my gosh, it seems like forever that I've been here, but I just stopped by to say hi and I'm just loving all these Disney at Christmastime pictures! Oh, how I wish I could go to Disney right now *sigh* Maybe someday... but pictures like these are all I have, so keep them coming MeMom (if that isn't the last of them of course hehe) :mickeyjum I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and this hopefully won't mark another one of my absences and I will be active on here all the way until Christmas :teeth: Can't wait to read more! (:

Okay - gotcha! I was reading it as if you had met him on your trip.

He made the dumplings??? Jill would have adored him! She loves their dumplings!

We won't be doing a WDW Christmas next year, so I'll be doing the sighing then. I plan to take enough pictures this year to last me through next year. ;) Maybe we'll get to do it again in 2013. Every other year seems reasonable.

Do you have snow this morning, MeMom?

I have a picture of the Osborne Lights as my desktop background right now! As we get closer to Christmas, it may become the Castle. :santa:

They are both special in their own ways. Osborne Lights are active and fun, and the castle is peaceful and elegant.

We had an ever so light dusting of snow. I want to save my snow days until January and February, so I called the Snow Fairy and told her to cut it out!

We saw those pens and thought they would be a perfect Disney touch for our day. I'm sure the kids have learned a lot from you, and I'm betting you have learned a bit from them, as well.

That was the night we were doing the shuffle steps through the back streets of Hollywood. I like it much better when you can stroll! :goodvibes

Yes, snow for looks is fine in November and December. Snow for a day off is good for January and February. All snow should stop in March, and temperatures should begin to be in the mid-70's at all times. That is all. :)

I hope you get to see the storytellers sometime. They are interesting.

Our plans for 2012 are for June and October, and as of now, that is it. That doesn't sound like nearly enough to me, but it sounds like more than enough to my bank account. ;)

Annual Passes are the devil! They tempt, tease, and taunt and make you pack your suitcases over and over again until you have nothing left to give. One year, I went six times in a one year period. :upsidedow

It has done a lot of raining here. It's supposed to warm up the the mid 50's this week. I sure hope the weather in Alabama is good on Christmas Day, since we're flying that day.

Those are nowhere near the last. There will be many more to come in the next four weeks. :santa:

I know I am new here and you dont know me, but I will keep your Dmom in my prayers.

DIS friends are the best. I hope you get to meet a lot of DIS pals on future trips. :thumbsup2

Thank you, Kgroo, MeMom, sunny_stace and Wig'd.
I just got home and I asked her if she was nervous and she said she was a little worried.
I can't wait til morning and I can tell her it will be fine cause she has several of my DIS friends praying for her. ;)

Thanks again! I will post an update as soon as I can tomorrow.

Best wishes and prayers for your mum Lana

Prayers and good thoughts for you and your mom tomorrow Lana!

Look at all that hugging going on! DIStown will hold you close in thought today. Any time you have even a small surgery, there is a bit of nervousness. We have faith that Mom will come through this very well. What exactly are they doing?

Still shopping our way out of Magic Kingdom...

Lots and lots and lots of candy.

As cute as the drainer is, I would not pay that much for something like that, and I could never have Mickey drowning in water day after day! :scared1:

I have several of these utensils, and whenever I use them at camp or take them in a dish to a school function, they do make people smile. :)

I plan to get something to commemorate the 'old' Dumbo on this next trip, since this will be our last ride on it. It may just be a pin, but I think the kid's dish set is cute, and the girls like using the fun dinnerware when they are here, so I might get that.

We were going to recreate Ariel's Grotto for Bella's April birthday party,

LastofDisneySummer2011115.jpg

but now she has decided she wants a Belle party.

I will be getting pictures of all things Beauty and the Beast on this next trip.

I hope John has that new saw ready to make Beast's castle. :thumbsup2

Think of the many paths these little fellas took to their new homes.

LastofDisneySummer2011118.jpg

I hope they are all as loved as the ones we bring home are. Our girls adore their plush friends and play with them all the time.

And last, but certainly not least this morning, a picture of a cast member's Celebrate button.

LastofDisneySummer2011119.jpg

Hope you all find something to celebrate today! Keep Lana's mom in mind as she has her surgery. Make someone smile today. Make someone laugh today. Enjoy the countdown to Christmas and hopefully some relaxing time away from work for everyone.
