Love the early morning walks with you MeMom!! So very very nice!!!
Ummmm...okay that rumor is not cool at all!! Seriously why would you close the Poly Beach (any of them) during THE busiest time of year!!! That makes absolutely NO sense at all!!!
I hope that rumor is not true, but we'll figure something out for that night. We can pack in like sardines somewhere and see those awesome fireworks!
I listen to three kinds of music - gospel, Disney, and from Thanksgiving to New Year's Day, Christmas.
I am probably supposed to know all the country music, since I live where I do, but I don't.
Of course!!!!
Or a webcam that you can put in the swing on the Poly beach, so we can really 'be there'.
I asked Jamie of all the resorts we've stayed at, or visited, which was her favorite and what do you think she said .... "Pop". I have to say I kindof agree. We really missed it our last couple of trips! Did you see the pictures I put up (on facebook) of the Art of Animation resort? Jamie got some good shots of the progress. I have a picture of what she had to do to get those shots, but she would probably have a fit if I posted it
I got several pictures of AoA, too. I walked to the wall at the end of the bridge. I'll have to see how those pictures came out. Jamie will never know if you show us pictures of her climbing over the wall.
I am excited about the new resort opening, and I think all of the outside things are going to be very cool. It's a bit too expensive for me, though, and the insides, for me personally, are a little over done. I think I want things a little 'plainer' when I go inside to get some rest.
You won't believe this, but there's a thin layer of snow on my car...in OCTOBER!

We're having a Nor'easter. It's mainly been a ton of rain and wind but it's been snowing for a little while. We're supposed to get 3-6 inches. This is crazy
Editing this post to add a picture I took for my DIS friends...

That's my car window. I think there's about an inch on top of my car. I've never seen snow this early in my life. I think the earliest I've seen it is mid November and it was just a dusting.
Yep, we have been watching the snow craziness on the news. I hope it is not indicative of what the winter is going to do to you or us!

Sure, everyone can come on down! Hopefully some won't mind sleeping in the tub....
A sleeping bag on the lawn works for me. By the time we get to a Pop bus, get to Pop, and get to sleep, it's time to wake up!
Naah, we won't really lawn crash, because the Poly police will possibly be put out.

We will be happy for you to join our NYE bash, though!

I am about to go get started on making a chicken casserole for lunch. I've got to start the green beans, too, so they can simmer for several hours. My whole gang is here, and I love it when everyone is under one roof.
Last night, Jill, the girls, and I went to Trunk or Treat at church. There were all kinds of cute little 'treaters'. I manned the cookie decorating station. We were going to have the kids make Mickey Mummies, but after a trial at home, we deemed it to be too difficult for tiny monster/superhero/princess fingers to do in that scenario. They would need more time to do them right. We ended up just doing the regular frosting and lots of toppings, and the kids loved it. One little girl said as she approached, "This is always my favorite place!"
Jill took the girls around to the different trunks. In true form to being just like her Bubby, Jill said Bella looked at the candy and said, "I not yike dat." Trent has never cared much for sweets, and what little Halloweening he did (quite often he had croup and did no Halloweening), he would give his candy to whoever wanted it. Definitely not the typical kid.
I hope this means Bella will keep those good eating habits, too.
Friday night, I ran into Trent at Kroger as I was doing food shopping. He was going to a movie with a friend, and he was getting snacks so they didn't have to pay the astronomical movie prices.
What did he have in his hand?
Some kind of natural granola bar thing.
I am hoping he bought the girl something more fun and junky, or maybe he bought her a five dollar candy bar at the movies, or maybe she is like him (frugal/cheap) and brought her own snacks, too.
Anyway, trunk or treating was fun.
And it was cold.
Brooklynn and Carson rode on the hay wagon by themselves - like big kids. I told one of the of the teenage kids from summer camp, who was sitting right beside them, to put his arm out if they started to topple. They made the loop around the parking lot just fine, and they thought they were big stuff.
I took a very few pictures, and I will show them later. On to get this dinner started so that when I get home from church, it'll be a breeze to get the rest of it together.
Whether you are seeing green palm trees,
red, orange, and gold leaves,
or have a snowy backyard this morning -
have a beautiful Sunday, all!
