Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

I just heard on the news that some people in New England got 31 INCHES of snow over the weekend :scared1::scared1::scared1: I've never seen that much in my life, let alone in OCTOBER!

We got a visit from a cute little cowboy(Kazin) and a cute little indian(Caleb) tonight :goodvibes The first thing Kazin did when he got here was say hi to my dog :rotfl: And then they both went right to the bin of toys I have for them to play with when they're here  Jeremy handed Caleb a piece of candy from our dish and Caleb said "trick or treat" and handed it to me :lovestruc He's so sweet. I love my little guys :)

Happy Halloween!!! I love your Mickey Mummy cookies, how cute!!! The Trunk or Treat looks like it was lots of fun!

We always enjoy this event. It's a chance to socialize with church friends I usually see pretty much just during worship time, and the kids love the candy and the hayride, of course.

Happy Halloween!!! Hope everyone has a blast today. My plan is to get off work as soon as I can and go home to my boys. We will trick or treat in our neighborhood a little, give out candy, make ghost cookies and watch "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown".
Surprisingly, I am not that upset about Aulani. I would have really loved to go back, but I know my boys would have made the flight miserable. I cannot see them sitting for over 5 hours at a time. Also, I really think they are too young to do what I do in Hawaii. We love exploring and hiking and that is dangerous for little ones there. The cruise is a great diversion for sure!! I am so excited.
When is Anita going to Vero? I am thinking last of June, first of July or anytime in July. I would really like to fit a couple days in at WDW too. When is your June trip again?

I haven't seen Charlie Brown in several years. I so rarely turn the TV on, so I don't see it advertised. I need to watch the DVD copy of it with the girls sometime.

A five hour flight would not be easy, unless maybe you could work it out where they were ready to sleep the whole time.

I am not sure of Anita's dates, since she has had to switch them. We were planning to go over to Vero toward the end of our trip, but I don't know if they will be there now. I have to find out for sure before we do all of our summer booking. If we don't go to Vero, we might book a last night at either AoA or some other resort for an end of the trip extra.

Happy Halloween!!! Looks like a great weekend was had with your family!!! OOOH I want a Mickey Mummy cookie...how fun is that!!

Tonight I think I'm going to make my oh so good apple dip, cut up some apples and have a special treat!!!

Brooklynn helped me make a Mickey Mummy cookie for Trent. Trent actually did take a bite in her presence! He rarely lets sugar pass his lips, but he had her convinced that was the best cookie ever. :lovestruc

Do tell about this Oh, So Good Apple Dip!!!

Hey there! I've been following along silently for a while but I thought it was time to come out of lurker-ville.
From reading your TR it's very obvious to me that family is the biggest thing for yall and I just love that! What an awesome family you have, too.

Anyway, just thought I'd finally post and 'introduce myself' since I've been enjoying reading this TR so much! Have a great Halloween!

Welcome to the craziness! :woohoo:

God has blessed me beyond anything I have ever deserved in giving me my children. ::yes:: I thank Him for them every single day.

Yum, that monster cookie looks delicious! Hope you have a Happy Halloween!

Very easy, too. Chocolate covered raisin eyes, mini Oreos, frosting, and marshmallows dipped in 10x and rolled out.

What did Jeremy dress up as?

My dad lives about an hour north of us and still has no power It was bad when we didn't have it but it's worse for the people who don't have it now because it's so cold.

I wish I would have fun Disney dreams. Mine are usually stressful

I love Brooklynn's costume. Aladdin is one of my favorite movies. I found all 80 something episodes of the animated Aladdin TV series on youtube last week and I've been watching it the past few days. I remember that being on when I was a little kid and I love it just as much, if not more, now

Josh, Jeremy, and Leslie are taking Kazin and Caleb trick or treating in our town tonight and they're gonna stop by our house I miss my little guys. It's been a few months since I've seen them since we've all been so busy with school and work

No, I don't want any stressful Disney dreams. I want the kind where I go to the Pop counter and they tell me I have been upgraded to a Polynesian beachfront for a week.

Such cute Halloween goodies!!!

We've barely managed to get our pumpkins carved this weekend! But we are ready for the trick or treating tonight! My neighbor and DD8's BFF's dad gets his 4 wheeler hooked up to a trailer with hay bales and the parents ride around on that while the kids run up and down the block! It's pretty fun and for once it's not going to be too cold here!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Hope you guys had a very fun evening!

Happy Halloween! Your Trunk or Treating looked like great fun. Ty will be doing "some" Trick or Treating tonight. Dont know if I'll join them though. I have been fighting a pretty nasty cold/flu thing. At least I got to go Trunk or Treating with him Wednesday nght. He was so cute this morning he got out of bed and came in and said Happy Birthday Nonnie! It took lots lots of prompting from his Mom but he said it.
Hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween.

I didn't even realize it was your birthday. My birthday icon wasn't showing up on FB, but I saw posts to a couple of birthday people, and then it hit me. I got my greetings in late, but I hope you had a good one!

What a fun party! The girls are so cute, decked out in their princess gear.

That tractor looks just like one of tinkgurl's grandpa's tractors! Her fiance taught Chris how to drive them when we visited her this summer!

All the Halloween food looks so yummy! I could go for a Mickey Mummy cookie right about now...

You know men love anything with an engine. I bet Chris really enjoyed that!

We had a very fun family weekend. :goodvibes

So I'm super behind on here (and I'm too lazy to go back and find out) - are you doing a TR for this latest trip separate from this one or is it included here? Sorry for my loserness.

Separate. When we finish this one.

Trunk Or Treating looks fun! The princesses certainly look adorable (as usual) Not much going on here for Halloween. It's cold and threatening to rain...so this morning I watched the Boo To You Parade and Hallowishes on YouTube and I wore my black and orange mickey bracelet out today when I went to order my snow tires ($800...I could have gone to Disney again! I wish I had started my day with Mickey cake or a Mickey-Mummy cupcake! Those look delicious!

princess:Hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween!
It is looking very much like a Tennessee autumn with all of the pretty colors on the trees.

I am going to have to have tires, too. I'll be cancelling the spring trip soon. :headache: I guess I will be watching youtube videos of the Flower and Garden Festival in April.

Happy Halloween! Trunk or treat looks like a lot of fun; I think your station with the cookie decorating would have been my favorite, too!

Pretty much all the snow we got here has melted. We got maybe three inches, which is absolutely nothing. My cousin is home from college till Thursday, since there is no power at her school.

As soon as they are done, the cookies are safely wrapped to be put away to have later with some milk or hot chocolate. That way, they don't have frosting all over them as they finish their rounds.

Three inches is a big deal here. Enough to clear the Kroger shelves!

Great trunk or treat pictures. I know the kids loved decorating the cookies.

They had fun. I wrapped the cookies up for them to take home and have later.

What a fun party! The girls looked adorable as usual...
Hope you are staying safe from all the spooks tonight!
Happy Halloween!

Yep, I was safe. I worked at school until late, and then I ran a couple of errands. So much to do. There were only two sets of spooks when I came in.

Happy Halloween!!

Same to you. Next year, you have to come up with a baby costume. :lovestruc

That is a crazy amount of snow! Maybe it is all over for the winter now. ;)

Glad you got to spend time with your little boys. :woohoo:

No, I don't want any stressful Disney dreams. I want the kind where I go to the Pop counter and they tell me I have been upgraded to a Polynesian beachfront for a week.

I'm following another trip report and this happened to them. Not at check-in, but later in their trip. And not for a good reason ;)

.

Very easy, too. Chocolate covered raisin eyes, mini Oreos, frosting, and marshmallows dipped in 10x and rolled out.

What did Jeremy dress up as?

He was Captain Jack Sparrow! I will post pictures on my report once I figure out how to download them from the camera. I thought he was very cute. A little girl from his class did so as well. He was blushing the entire time. :confused3 My camera officially died last week. My dad bought Jeremy one last year for Christmas. I thought it was the stupidest thing he could have done buying an 8 year old a camera but it is coming in quite handing right now until I buy a new one. Why does everything fall apart right before a Disney trip and Christmas? :confused3

Welcome to the craziness! :woohoo:

God has blessed me beyond anything I have ever deserved in giving me my children. ::yes:: I thank Him for them every single day.

Thank you! I'm loving the craziness, I'm definitely at home here! :rotfl:

That's so sweet. It definitely shows! That's a big reason why I really enjoy reading your TR! Hope you all had a safe Halloween and I'll look forward to your next post! :goodvibes

I have never been to a Trunk or Treat before though I love the idea! :thumbsup2 I hope you had a great Happy Halloween, MeMom!! Does your class get to dress up and have a party?

Oh, it was enough to clear the shelves here this time! :rotfl: The reports were kind of all over the place, but the general consensus was that central and western Mass would get hit the hardest, and eastern Mass, and the greater Boston area, would not get too much. Like Christine said, some places got 31"! It's weird; you'd think that living in New England, people would be accustomed to snow and not freak out, but they certainly do!

Our dates haven't changed for Vero at all. We are still there from the 20th until the 24th in a 2br. We are on the wait list for a beach cottage that will sleep 12 as it stands now we can handle 9. There will be 4 of us. We look forward to you coming to play and hang out with us for as long as you can!

Yes it does! Chris had a blast.

The girls look adorable all dressed up! I'll have to get a pic up of Little Guy for you. He was the Wolverine!

Trunk or treating looks like so much fun! The girls are just as cute as can be! The Mickey Ghost looks absolutely delicious, it was nice of Trent to take a bite for Brooklynn's sake. :goodvibes

You will have to share the story - if it's not too horrible or something. :scared1:

I would like to get a new camera before the Christmas trip. Maybe after I cancel the spring trip next week, I will go ahead and take the plunge so that I can get used to it before we leave. I am going to have new tires on my car, too, so we'll see.

Thank you! I'm loving the craziness, I'm definitely at home here! :rotfl:

After I get through tomorrow's evaluation, I should be able to breathe a little easier and have some more DIS time. I will probably celebrate the end of this week by putting up a ton of pictures just to take myself away from school thing! If everyone else enjoys them, too, then that works for me. :thumbsup2

I have never been to a Trunk or Treat before though I love the idea! :thumbsup2 I hope you had a great Happy Halloween, MeMom!! Does your class get to dress up and have a party?

A lot of the churches do it around here. I am in favor of fizzling out the door-to-door knocking, as far as in general, and just letting families and groups do their own thing for Halloween. Knocking on friends' doors, I can handle, and having parties and activities with your school, church, scout groups, etc. is great. In my old age, I just don't like the 'stranger' part of this event. That's just my opinion.

Our school does not allow costumes. Our kids would be way too hyped all day to do that. We do have whatever level of party we want, though. My class had cupcakes and assorted 'junk'.

I heard about the 31 inches. Makes me glad I live where I do!

We are planning to come, but then we will either be driving back Saturday all day so that I can drive back to Nashville Sunday morning for church, since camp starts that day, or we will be going back to Orlando to fly back home Saturday. Brooklynn and I are flying to Orlando probably on Wed. before Jill, John, and Bella come on Saturday. They do not know if they are driving or flying at this point. My guess is that we will keep our Pop rooms even when we come over to your place just so we can come back and use Magical Express to get to the airport.

Yes it does! Chris had a blast.

The girls look adorable all dressed up! I'll have to get a pic up of Little Guy for you. He was the Wolverine!

We'd love to see him. It's been a while since we've gotten a Little Guy picture.

Trunk or treating looks like so much fun! The girls are just as cute as can be! The Mickey Ghost looks absolutely delicious, it was nice of Trent to take a bite for Brooklynn's sake. :goodvibes

That old Bubby would do just about anything for those little girls. He asks me nearly every day, if he hasn't already talked to Jill, and sometimes even if he has, "What are my little rats up to?" or "What is my sister doing?" He loves those girls deeply. After they leave from a visit, he rehashes things they did and said and laughs at them.

There is enough time for just a few pictures.

How about a Pop breakfast for all this morning?

Trent would probably like a hard-boiled egg,

DisneySummer20112ndset772.jpg

while I would be all about that banana nut bread. ;)

The inside of the cooler.

Yeah, I take dumb pictures, don't I??? :sad2:

Assorted snack options, just for your planning information.

DisneySummer20112ndset780.jpg

Okay, everybody have a great day!

Hmmmm, I'll take a ham and cheese croissant with a side of banana bread...not sure I'll eat it all but I'll give it a shot :thumbsup2

Have a happy Wednesday MeMom and Jill :goodvibes

Trunk or Treat looks like lots of fun:thumbsup2

I love all the Disneyfied food, especially the Mummy cookie. That is such a cute idea (that I might have to steal next year)

Falling behind on my DISing as we get ready for our trip... but wanted to stop by & say hello!!

Good to know that Trent would eat a hard boiled egg. I have been on a hard boiled egg kick trying to jump start weight loss again. Wasn't sure if that was a wise choice instead of egg beaters. I must be doing something right!!!

Great update! Love the food pics. Hope you are having a great week so far. We have been busy with Spirit week at Cooper's school. He went tacky today. LOL. Hope the evaluation goes well and you can relax for awhile.
BTW, we just got Disney on Ice tickets for tomorrow. It is in Knoxville.
