Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

I don't know why high school rooms can't have some Disney touches, too. Seems like we all need them. :)

We've never been right on the Hippy Dippy Pool. We've been right on the Bowling Pin Pool before, ground floor, and it was nice. :thumbsup2

Hope you make an easy transition back into the real world this week.

Definitely!
That's fun! We've been in every section but the 50's so far! We're going to request that for the 2 days we're there in November, so we can say we've been in each. The room facing the Hippy Dippy Pool could get loud at night with screaming kids, but we were so tired from all day at the parks that we fell asleep within a few minutes.
Thanks! It shouldn't be so bad, since it's still summer for me. After our November trip it might be difficult because we get that Sunday (the 4th) to rest and then it's back to school Monday. :sad2:

Hope your weekend was good, MeMom and Jill!

Everything Pop has soooo much great stuff! I love all the 40th anniversary memorabilia. I picked up a bunch of those things when we were there.

I can't believe how big the girls are getting. I feel like I've "known" them both for years now and watched them grow up!

It's gross and rainy here again today but I hope the weather is better down there for you guys. Happy Monday!

You have been around since before Bella even existed, so you pretty much have watched them grow up. One of these days it's going to work out for you to meet them in person.

It's sunny and warm here. About another two months and we'll start getting cool and rainy days.

Bella and those pigtails are just adorable! She is really growing up.

I just talked with her on the phone. She wanted me to know tomorrow is Brooklynn's birthday. She and Jill were going to get the stuff to make cupcakes for Brooklynn's class tomorrow. I remember when Jill and Trent were 5 and 2, and now my grandkids are 5 and 2!

I worried that I might not like POP for that reason but we sure ended up loving it!! What a nice picture :goodvibes That was our building :goodvibes

I got that pin instead of the hat too but I may end up having someone pick it up for me...I'm starting to think I need the real thing too

WHEW!! Caught up now although I had to skip most of the chatter. I hope your school year is off to a great start! Greg and I return tomorrow and the kids have another week. For the first time in many years, I am not feeling stressed out and sick about starting a new year. I'm taking this to mean I am finally in a position that is good for me!!

I wasn't stressed out until Friday's meeting. Now I am feeling a little :crazy2:!

Sweet little angel!

She is a mess, that girl is! She's a little bit devil and a little bit angel. :goodvibes

Way to go on the cake Jill! I hope the little boy enjoyed it!

I bet he did. I think it was for one of Jill's teachers who had a birthday boy.

Hey MeMom! i caught up with your report since i've been gone..I love Bella's hair in pigtails, she's so cute! :cutie:
& I just got back from my trip to Disney and started my Trip Report yesterday! :dance3:

I will get over there soon. As soon as I finish here, I have a Math Pre-test to grade and record. By recording, I don't just mean a grade. I have to fill out a grid that shows what every kid put for every answer, then I have to analyze that data. Should be a barrel of fun. ;)

Oh My! I need to check out our BL! Those are adorable!! (and the price is excellent!)

I think Disney World should follow that lead. :thumbsup2

Whoa, I miss a few days and have quite a bit to catch up on!

Yes that's correct, I have no idea what the plans are yet. My group is usually pretty flexible so I'm sure I can work around your plans.

Your shopping pictures make me want to jump on Disneystore.com and buy all the Disney Parks merchandise haha. I know I'll be purchasing a few things you showed when I'm back in October.

I hope the beginning of school is going well!

The picture of Tramp with the hot air balloons was sooooooo cool! It really did look like he was looking up at them. And I agree about Pop Century, the vibrant colors are all part of the charm and I wouldn't change them for anything.

Lastly, that picture of Bella with the pigtails at Pop was just so precious! I can't believe how big she's getting!

I think AoA is going to look very bright and colorful on the outside, too. I'm looking forward to taking pictures there. Disney does a grea job using the different colors to help set the mood for their themes. CBR has vibrant, fun colors that go right with the Varribean music. OKW is soft and soothing and perfect for a relaxing vacation feel. AKL is dark and rich. I would enjoy being a Disney resort designer.

Our plan for the last day will most likely be Magic Kingdom and then back to Pop for one last swim before meeting the bad bus in the afternoon.

I bet you and the little cutie with the pigtails had some fun time exploring Pop as a twosome :goodvibes especially with Bella leading the way just like Brooklyn might have!

Yep, she's my little partner on trips. She likes to hang out with me while the others ride the big stuff. Plus, maybe I spoil her just a little. ;)

You are so right Cathy!!! :thumbsup2 Oh and I see in your signature you have a blog, so I'll be by and check you out.

I have to say, the "picture" you created is cracking me up.:lmao: I could just imagine that too. But actually hubby is very cool about me spending money while at Disney. It's me who agonizes over every penny spent.

Oh and Bella is adorable in her tig tails!

I have curtailed my spending a lot on the last few trips. It's good enough to be able to go, and to get a few little things is a plus. I used to buy for a bunch of people, and nice things, too, but I dug a hole real fast, so I stopped. :upsidedow

We've been in every section. Now we have to work on going for every building. So far, we've covered Jukebox, Tramp, Play-Doh, Mickey Phone, Big Wheel, Walkman, Computer, and Roger Rabbit - some more than once. We've almost made it to every icon.

Tennessee is supposed to be in the process of seeing if we can get out of NCLB. In our county, as things get worse, our higher academic families are fleeing to private schools and surrounding counties, which just makes our scores even worse. It's a no win situation, and it is extremely frustrating.

We have a lot of private schools in our immediate area and they are booming as the public schools increase class size and poverty rates. Teachers around here go to surrounding counties or private school when they can.

Let me think- I have been in every section if I cheat a bit and combine the 80's and nineties's since they are combined at POP. As for buildings, I have been in the Jukebox, Play-Doh, Roger Rabbit and Mickey phone buildings. I may not have the chance to try every building now but at best it will just take me a little longer to do it.

:rolleyes1

I just got all my pictures sorted out, and I was going to post a recent picture of Naveen for you MeMom, but I don't know how  I'll try to figure it out, because he was a charmer!:lovestruc

Here ya go! Nothing super fancy.

That's so cool! Well... anything with Phineas & Ferb involved is cool anyways :cool1:

Ok, I'm all caught up! :thumbsup2 Here I go......
Brooklyn through the years was great. That one of baby Bella on top of her was so precious!
Your Pop pictures are the best. They really do make me feel like I'm back there again, even though I've been gone for a little over a day now.
I was in the 60's building you took a picture of! Building 5, 2nd floor, corner room, facing the Hippy Dippy Pool. All of my requests were fulfilled. :cloud9:
Bella's outfit is so cute! She is getting so big!
Your classroom put all of my elementary school classrooms combined to shame. :rotfl: Can my 10th grade classes look like that?! It'd make going to school a whole lot more fun. :wizard:
Great Fantasmic! pictures. I love that show. We saw it two times on our trip. We wanted to add in another, but we were just too tired. :sad2:
And last but not least, that Phineas & Ferb cake is super cute. :goodvibes
Woooo that was a lot!

I totally agree, though this past school year, one of the ninth grade teachers, whom I've known since I was like 6, is obsessed with Disney and she had Disney stuff everywhere in her room. Sadly, I never had her as a teacher and couldn't have had her because she didn't teach my math class :headache:. Our spirit week theme for our grade this year was also Disney

Just had to add that in... though I'm in the dark this year when it comes to that... though I think my math class is right next to hers. SCORE! :cool1:

I have to get over and comment on your report, too, along with Stephanie's. I love that you younger Disney fans enjoy writing reports about your travels.

Awesome, I'd love to hear what you'd think. And I'm sorry you had to come in when I just posted my new PTR :rotfl: I move fairly quickly when it comes to TRs and PTRs Hahaha And I advise you check out the one I just finished too, though I don't want you to get stuck in the chaos of Timmy TR World :scared1: Hehehe

I caught up over the weekend and thought I commented.....he girls loved your claddroom :love:Avery is a big marine lover so anything nemo themed is all good to her. They both started school today. We are trying private this year. So far the class sizes are really low and both teachers seem good. Love the shopping pics and the cool one at POP.

The down side is that private schools don't pay as much, nor do surrounding county schools. I'm pretty much stuck where I am until I get my twenty years in. Then I will take an early retirement and move to Alabama, if things aren't any better. Sometimes they'll come up with all of this intense stuff and then not follow through or change it the very next year. We'll just have to wait this one out and see.

You might be adding some weekends on to your DVC stays, so I'm guessing you haven't seen the last of Pop. It seems like a lot of people do that in order to get the most out of their points. I have faith that you can conquer the entire resort in time.

I'm always up for a Naveen picture. :goodvibes

I have had very little DIS time lately, so I am only to keep up here and there with different reports. I don't normally do a lot of pre-trips, but rather I wait for the real trip reports. If I had the time, I'd enjoy reading a lot more, but there are a million other things to do right now.

Hope you can peek in on that teacher and get a Disney fix occasionally.

I saw their picture on Facebook. I hope they have a wonderful year!

I will have to 'escape' to The Seas and Nemo whenever I can to make it through this year. Things are as intense as I have ever seen them around there.

****************************************

As you guys can tell, the teachers around here have been kind of absent lately. Things are crazy for all of us at the beginning of a school year. At my school, things are very tense. We have had the fear of God put in us about test scores and being on our A game every minute of every day, which is not easy. Second grade has the highest numbers, so we can only hope they will bring another teacher in after Labor Day. I apologize for not getting to check in on your reports as often as I would like. Believe me, I miss being able to do that. I will do well to keep this one up, but know that I will come and visit at your places as much as I can. I would much rather have been doing that last night than scoring Math Pre-tests and putting the answers that each kid put into boxes for data analyzing. I have my work cut out for me. Out of 23 kids who tested, the best score was -6 out of 18 questions. One kid had -17. :sad2: It's going to be a long year. :upsidedow

Before we move on with another Disney day, I want to wish my sweetest five year old girl a very happy birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BROOKLYNN!!!
party: :bday:

You are one of the greatest things that has ever happened to me!

*******************************************

So, let's see where Bella was going after she stopped to visit with that little squirrel.

This day would start out at Hollywood Studios.

Bo is looking a little thin, don't you think?

One of Bella's tigtail bands broke, so Jill tried to use the other one to make one tail. In the process, that one broke. For a moment, Bella looked like this.

disneysummmmer415.jpg

No, there was no wind.

She ended up using Mommy's band and going with a ponytail.

Here come the Toy Story CM's.

disneysummmmer418.jpg

Do you see Ed?

disneysummmmer419.jpg

Everybody say it out loud:

First stop, Toy Story Midway Mania - one of Jill's very favorite rides.

We truly do set records for scoring.
Record lows, that is.

We never did see Ed all the way through the queue, but we knew he was holding some Fastpasses for us for later. :woohoo: When we did hook up with him later, he said he was probably in the back. I guess they have CM's assigned to the behind the scenes stuff - maybe watching guests during the ride or something? I'm not sure, but that's where he was anyway. I'll have to ask him specifics next time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKLYNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bday:party::bday:party: I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!:goodvibes

One of these days, I'm absolutely determined to get on TSM!! I just have yet to conquer the crowds, but I'm hoping to do it this next trip! Everything about it looks so cute!

Happy Birthday Brooklynn!!

I adore Toy Story Mania. The scores may be low BUT the accuracy is pretty darn good! :3dglasses

Happy Birthday Brooklynn!

Great pictures of Toy Story Mania!
& I get similar Toy Story scores when i'm actually trying and not taking pictures.. :3dglasses

Happy Birthday Brooklynn!:banana::banana::dance3::dance3::yay::yay::woohoo::woohoo:

Got a laugh out of the pictures of Bella's hair. Poor thing. Such happy photos of TSM. Thanks for sharing.
