Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

Too funny about the police officer calling you back  And for the record I totally would have called to explain myself and my "situation." ;)

What is the deal with the men being removed from the meets? Ahhh well at least we still have all of the cute waiters in France and Italy :rolleyes1

Tracy

So why are Flynn and all the guys leaving? Does anyone know?

Love the pictures from the meet & greet with Rapunzel and Flynn. The girls are so cute with the characters. Jillian...I love your picture of the area. So beautiful.

Yay for Brooklynn riding Space Mountain!!! :thumbsup2 Can't wait to hear what she thought of it and hopefully see a picture of her after riding.

Jill used such great planning skills to meet Rapunzel and Flynn! An empty Main Street, a yummy breakfast, and a fun meet and greet all in just over an hour. That is a successful morning in my book!

Absolutely! There is much to be said for getting up early on at least some mornings of a trip. :thumbsup2

Yeah that's it. I do have a birthday wish list--- in my siggie.

I had a fun day - a little work ( it was payroll day ) a Dis Meet and dinner with friends. I need to post that Dis Meet on my TR.

My birthday wish would be six Disney trips a year for life. :) I could hold up quite well out here in the outside world if I had an every other month trip waiting in the wings.

I'm happy the girls got to meet Flynn before he "retired". I love how Jill put the flowers in Brooklynn's hair to match Rapunzel. So cute!

Brook really is one brave girl, riding Space so young! I wish I was an adventurous child but I'm sad to say, I was a wimp!

She doesn't seem like she'd be too adventurous, but when it comes to Disney rides, she has found more that she likes than doesn't like, so I think that helps her be willing to try the next newest one.

Woo hoo! Go Brookie! Like Kristen, I didn't ride Space Mountain until I was older.

I wish I was at the MK right now!

I know. So do many of the rest of us. Too bad the tables are not turned so that we got more vacation time than work time. I was thinking yesterday - I still have time for a long weekend trip for my birthday. I am sick, sick, sick!

Love the updates.

I love CP for an early breakfast. We usually book it every trip.

Brooklynn is so cute trying to shape Mickey's ear on the waffle & her hair looks so pretty!!

My picks would be Splash, BTMRR, & Pirates.

I am glad that you got to talk to your police friend. That is so funny that they noticed the food.

They couldn't help but notice the food. There were giant cans of green beans and peaches, cases of water, humongous boxes of cereal, probably six partial boxes of candy bars, and just all kinds of stuff. All that spaghetti stuff was on the kitchen table, too. :goodvibes

Of those listed, I'd go with Big Thunder, the Haunted Mansion and Pirates. Now....to wait 66 mores days.

Thanks for the pics of Crystal Palace breakfast. I'm excited to eat there! I've been there for dinner but not breakfast.

Brooklynn's hair looks so cute with the flowers in it! Did Rapunzel notice? What did she say?

I know you're gonna get to this but I can't wait to hear what Brooklynn said about Space Mount-in. That was my first roller coaster (I think I was around Brooklynn's age), even before the Wabash Cannonball at Opryland. And one of the funniest memories I have of Disney World as a kid was when Brett was 5 years old and we were riding Space Mountain. He was right behind me and as we were going up the incline I heard this little "heee-heee" a la Michael Jackson. (This was 1992 and he was a HUGE MJ fan.) When we got off the ride I asked him what he was doing that for and he said, "I was really scared and nervous so I decided to do something funny to make myself laugh."

Rapunzel noticed. I don't know her exact words. John may have been filming - I'm not sure.

I didn't ride Space Mount-in with Brooklynn. I'll leave that story for Jill to tell in detail. Jill was a little nervous, of course, because she couldn't sit beside Brooklynn on this ride. I remember feeling the same way when Drew rode it for the first time.

We're almost to August. Only one month separates August from October!

All caught up today! I love your trip reports, but I've missed the last few. I have been so busy the last year with a new job, and adjusting to working full time again. I'm settling in enough to find time to be back on though.

Wow the girls have been on a lot of Disney trips! They are adorable! Their intro pics are fantastic, they would make a great ad for Disney.

I love Crystal Palace! So nice to see your breakfast photos!
The photo of Brooklynn recreating the ear on her waffle is so funny!
I hope Bella starts to warm up to the characters in the next trip or two.

I'm glad you met Rapunzel and Flynn! Brooklynn's hair is beautiful!

Love, Love the empty Magic Kingdom photos. My favorite is the one of the castle across the gardens, so bright and colorful, sunny and beautiful.

If I were to pick three rides it would be: BTMRR, Jungle Cruise, and Haunted Mansion.

If I had my kids with me they would have us ride BTMRR, BTMRR, & BTMRR. I think they want to set a record on there.

The new lego displays look amazing! We'll have something new to look forward to next time!

You realy had me laughing with your police officer story. I love your description of the house. I have many days that would be like that. And all he thought about was all the food, he probably left your house feeling very hungry!

Brooklynn would be right in there with your kids. She loves Big Thunder!

The girls have taken quite a few Disney trips. They are very lucky girls, I think, to be growing up getting to do that. I'm glad their Mommy loves it as much as I do.

Thank you for diagnosing the root of my packrat habits! I guess it's the (former) teacher in me. Now I can tell DH that I didn't make up the 7-year rule, it's official. Which reminds me, I need to make a Goodwill drop-off this week. Those old clothes are not making themselves into a quilt.

Thanks for keeping me honest on the ride choices. I didn't mean to be naughty, I really thought FP would keep the spirit of the thing and still let me stretch to four. I am the queen of "just one more thing." Especially at Disney. One more ride, Dole Whip, show, night at Pop ... Happily, I already got my one more night at Pop for this trip.

That's the way I am when we are leaving WDW - one more ride, one more shop, one more swing through the Emporium.... :)

I am getting much, much better in my old age at discarding things before the seven year mark. :thumbsup2

Sorry I have been AWOL for a while - I've enjoyed catching up!!!

Love the Crystal Palace breakfast. We are doing our first one in approx. 4 weeks time!

16 days to go! xxx

We are extremely excited for all of you!

Such a cute meeting with Rapunzel and Flynn!

Hurray for Brooklyn being brave enough to try Space Mountain! Can't wait to hear the verdict!

Okay, clearly Chelsea has been brainwashing me -- she seems to think she is an adult these days and when I saw her name and your comment about three DIS kids and one grown-up DIS kid, my first thought was, "Does MeMom mean Chelsea is the grown-up DIS kid?" Then, I looked at the other names and quickly thought, "Oh, Marc. She means Marc." I swear I am going to be a blithering idiot by the time she moves out.

Those were just the first DIS names I saw. I thought of Mr. Marc when I saw that one, but then I realized LL has a Marc, too, and I am sure he is a big kid when he is in Disney World, as well!

What a bummer we missed both Naveen and Flynn.

If the rumor is true that he will be at MNSSHP.... that will make Lexi a very happy girl!

She has never forgotten about missing Tiana & Naveen on the last trip.
We did try..3x but it never worked out.

She told me she is deffinitely meeting her this time, no matter what.

Rapunzel looks so pretty with her long hair.
I love the sweet pics with the girls!
You can see Bella had a smile.
The flowers in Brooklynns hair were a lovely touch!

Bella was happy enough to be just close enough, but not any closer.

I have heard that the guys will make special appearances at parade times and holidays. We'll see. I am sorry you never got to see Naveen. Not only was he a cutie, he was great with the interaction, too. Very witty!

How cool that ya'll were 2nd in line to meet Rapunzel and Flynn on his last day! That must have been special! Can't wait to hear about Brooklynn's ride on Space Mount-in haha! Your family seems so sweet Memom! I am glad they are coming to visit you this week!

I think we will have a full house on Sunday. That's always nice.

So glad to see the Crystal Palace breakfst pics. We booked it for thbe first time in september and your report just made me so excited to try it!
That Flynn.....he's a hunk! Lol! Brooklyn looked so cute with the flowers in her hair!

Be sure and get some fruit. And the fried donut thing. And some peach cobbler. Biscuits and gravy. Some bacon and sausage. And, of course, some eggs. Maybe that will do.

He was cute, but did you get to see Naveen?
He made my heart go pitter patter! :rotfl:

Loved the Rapunzel meet! That is top on our list for October. The girls look so cute in their outfits too and Brooklyn's hair was perfect!

Got a question... does anyone know what/if changes are being made to the Rapunzel meet other than Flynn leaving? Is she going to be meeting in a different place? My DD has her heart set on meeting her, but I'm not sure if they are changing the whole M&G or just removing Flynn.

Go Brooklyn for riding SM!!! I want to know why you say you won't be riding it in October? Are you not a fan Memom?

As far as I know, that greet is all the same, except for the removal of Flynn. Someone who has been in the last couple of weeks can tell us, maybe.

I just figured I wouldn't ride it for two reasons: 1 - because I am not sure Kay's granddaughter will be big enough, and 2 - because John is funny about thinking nobody else can really watch his kids correctly, so I know it would make him super stressed thinking she was riding that without his hand on her shoulder. I thought it would be best not to push the issue and just tell her we can ride it again in December. I like it just fine, but I usually offer to sit it out with the little ones. Now we're down to one little one. I like the others getting to enjoy it more than I like one of them having to sit out.

My kids aren't that excited about Rapunzel.

I think DD would certainly pose with her had she the chance but I'm not 100% sure she would wait in line to do so.

DS barely ever poses with characters so I know for a fact he'd pass on the opportunity. Silly boy!

This past weekend DH ran a 10K in a "Running from Cancer" sponsored event and the kiddies got into the...wait for it...

DISNEY DASH!!

They had several ladies dressed as various Princesses, Tink, Cruella DeVil and even a rogue Buzz Lightyear (he was a cutie!) so what did my kids do?

Get me to take pics of them posing with the characters, of course! DS passed on posing with Buzz and DD said no also but we got most (if not all) of the ladies and DS even jumped in on one or two.

We spent half an hour before the race tracking each and every character down (except Buzz of course) and getting photos with DH's android phone.

I haven't uploaded them to my computer yet but there was one Princess in a green dress who didn't identify herself and we couldn't figure out who she was supposed to be. The only princess I could think of in green was Tiana but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be her. The dress looks more like the one Fiona wears in Shrek.

Anyway, those pics of the Bella and Brooklynn getting their Tangled on were super cute...as usual!

A Disney Dash sounds like fun! I'd love to see pictures.

Yay, all caught up on the report!! First off, the plan in October right now is the 20th-24th, BUT airfare seems to be much cheaper if I leave earlier in the week like the 17th or 18th. Hopefully that works out and we'll get to meet up!
Second, LOVED the flowers in Brooklynn's hair! So pretty!
Third, glad the girls got a chance to see Flynn before he left. I think that meet and greet is absolutely GORGEOUS! We got there too late in the afternoon to meet Rapunzel and Flynn but I was able to snap this pic. It's one of my faves from the trip

38b7a1d7.jpg

Very nice picture. :goodvibes

If you get there on the 17th or 18th, we will work out a way to cross paths.:

Brooklynn's hair was cute that morning. She doesn't like having it fixed, as she is very tender-headed. Sometimes Jill is just not in the mood to deal with the drama, but when they both tough it out, Brooklynn looks so much better, because you can see her face. I call her Cousin It when she has it hanging in front of her, although she has no idea who Cousin It is.

Too funny about the police officer calling you back And for the record I totally would have called to explain myself and my "situation."

What is the deal with the men being removed from the meets? Ahhh well at least we still have all of the cute waiters in France and Italy

Tracy

Maybe they're sending those guys over to be waiters? ;)

I felt relieved after talking to the officer, and I really felt good when he even found some humor in it, too.

Can't wait to hear what she thought of it and hopefully see a picture of her after riding.

I have no idea why they are taking the guys out.

She loved it! I think she did it two times during the trip.

We're almost to August. Only one month separates August from October!

And technically I get to celebrate in August and say "I'm going to Disney World NEXT MONTH" because we check in on September 29th. :dance3:

I think an early morning CP breakfast is such a good idea! Your photos that morning are beautiful MeMom. :goodvibes

:wave2: Hi MeMom! Just coming out of lurkdome to say hello and that I really enjoy reading your trip reports. I read your last one and am now being entertained with this one as well (love the police story). It's great that you get to make special memories with your girls!

I was disappointed to read this about Flynn and Naveen:

I have no idea why they are taking the guys out.

She loved it! I think she did it two times during the trip.

When we were at MK in February my DD8 saw the Tangled meet and greet and wanted to do it. The line was really loooonnnng so I told her we'd be sure to do it first thing one morning on our next trip. Now I read Flynn is going to be gone (which I'm disappointed anyway, but on a personal note since our name contains his first name I thought it would be cool for DD to get his autograph). This proves the old addage 'never put off tomorrow what you can do today'. :sad2: Anyhow, I will be sure to make good on my promise in less than a week (despite the fact Flynn is gone). :)

On your pick 3 rides question mine would be:
1: Pirates
2: Haunted Mansion
3: Big Thunder

Thanks for writing - I look forward to reading more. ;)

I'll just say that Harper thinks Flynn is a big meanie after meeting him on our Spring Break trip. Hopefully we can get some decent pictures of her and Rapunzeel in December... I had to hold her after our " incident" with him...

Hey we check in the 29th. Sports. Maybe we will see you. Are you by chance doing the 5k? :)

Hey we check in the 27th. Sports. Maybe we will see you. Are you by chance doing the 5k? :)

We're staying at Sports 9/29-10/2! (Then we transfer to VWL until 10/7.) We were at Pop but I decided we needed an additional room and with the free dining we were on (booked waaaaaaay back in October 2010 when they had the free dining promotion last year) there were no rooms at Pop, so we went with Sports! Maybe we'll see you! :) And yep, I'm doing the 5k at AK on 10/1. :thumbsup2

Well darn it. I am booked at Sports too but if all goes well I will be changing that reservation to another resort on property. :goodvibes I hope we can all cross paths at the 5K or at least sometime while we are all there.

Hey Jill, awesome planning!! :thumbsup2 The meet & greet looks sooo cute! Too bad about Flynn having to journey and all that...I think he was actually a very Flynnish looking Flynn. ;) Brooklynn's hair looks so pretty and Bella is so cute observing and smiling...from a distance, of course. :cutie:

:woohoo: for Space Mountain, Brooklynn!!

That's right - I forgot you were going to be there before October 1st! I was keeping up with the dates more when we were going to be there that same weekend, but after we changed our dates, I sort of lost track. I'm still bummed that we won't be there for the actual 40th anniversary, but I will very much enjoy the special live feeds that some other Disney groups are doing. I'll feel like I am there in a different way. I've got that weekend marked off for staying tuned to me laptop so that I can join in the fun! :cool1:

I think an early morning CP breakfast is such a good idea! Your photos that morning are beautiful MeMom. :goodvibes

It was, and thanks. I didn't take as many pictures this time as I normally do. I think the others get tired of waiting on me sometimes, so I tried to scale back a little.

We are very happy to have a new friend to hang out with. Make yoursefl at home here. :goodvibes

If you can plan to be at rope drop and go straight to Rapunzel, that will help your wait. Every time we passed that area - every time - the line was long. Good luck. Be sure to let us know how it goes for you. Maybe Flynn leaving will shorten the line a little bit, but I'm sure Rapunzel just by herself will still have a good following.

I'll just say that Harper thinks Flynn is a big meanie after meeting him on our Spring Break trip. Hopefully we can get some decent pictures of her and Rapunzeel in December... I had to hold her after our " incident" with him...

He was a meanie? What did he do?

Uh oh...wonder what they nice fella did to Harper?

I hope it works out for all of you guys to cross paths for a minute. DIS meets don't have to be long - just a quick hello makes things more fun after you get back home and on the boards. You feel like you really do know the person on the other side of the screen a little better.

Good luck to all of you as you train for your races, too. :cheer2:

Hey Jill, awesome planning!! :thumbsup2 The meet & greet looks sooo cute! Too bad about Flynn having to journey and all that...I think he was actually a very Flynnish looking Flynn. ;) Brooklynn's hair looks so pretty and Bella is so cute observing and smiling...from a distance, of course. :cutie:

:woohoo: for Space Mountain, Brooklynn!!

He was very Flynnish looking. He was a nice guy, and I wonder what he is doing now around and about the parks. Besides just journeying, of course. :)

Brooklynn started out with Dumbo a few years ago, and now she's tackling all of the big things. When she gets big enough, we'll have to see what she thinks about scaling Everest to face the Yeti!

We'll be at POP Sept. 27th-5th. :)

After Space Mountain, we saw a very unique waste receptacle.

disneysummmmer163.jpg

It must have said something humorous.

disneysummmmer164.jpg

Bella can't quite figure it out.

disneysummmmer165.jpg

disneysummmmer166.jpg

As we headed back past the Teacups, we saw White Rabbit.

disneysummmmer167.jpg

Construction on the other side of the wall is really coming along.

disneysummmmer168.jpg

Walking on.

disneysummmmer169.jpg

Did you notice how many trash cans were in that last picture?
WDW makes it very easy for us to be able to throw our trash away. ::yes::
There is no excuse for littering parks.

The girls visited with Mary Poppins.

disneysummmmer171.jpg

disneysummmmer172.jpg

Then it was time to ride the Carrousel.

disneysummmmer170.jpg

Jill does take pictures, too.

disneysummmmer173.jpg

I wish she would put more of them on here. :goodvibes

Brooklynn enjoys this, but now that she's a thrill riding girl, she's satisfied with doing it once and then moving on!

disneysummmmer174.jpg

We'll be at POP Sept. 27th-5th. :)

I hope you guys can plan one time and place where a bunch of you can meet together, and be sure to share your pictures of the group with us!

We went and checked out the new Haunted Mansion queue.

Check out these happy little munchkins.

When I am taking one of my 'wandering around alone' walks, I will stop to get more close-ups of the sayings.

I looked for the ring briefly, but I had to catch up to the rest of the gang, so I left finding it for another day.

disneysummmmer183.jpg

I rarely go by without taking Mr. Toad's picture.
It just seems like the right thing to do.

disneysummmmer184.jpg

Great pics of the new queue! I cannot wait to see it (I think that's seriously one of the things I'm most looking forward to doing!), and I'm determined to find the ring!

In all our trips we have never seen Push! I will have to put that on my To Do list for next time.

We always have to take multiple rides on the Carousel. Luckily, we've never had to wait in line for it.
