Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

although I would like it better if the governor's name wasn't plastered up there. We didn't really come to see him. ;)

We don't want to see him either, I wish you would take him back to TN with you :sad2:

Brooklynn has an even bigger fan club than she thinks...she has all of us too!
She looked so pretty in her outfit for the recital.
I'm glad she had a good time doing it, make up and all! :goodvibes

I see the Mickey ears in the clouds too! Very cool! :thumbsup2

I was so thrilled when I saw the welcome sign on the FB pics....it feels like WDW isn't as far away.
Love the brochures and juice! Get's me super excitted everytime!
Can you believe I may 'drive down' in September just because I don't want to miss the Welcome Center.
It has been a tradition all my life and I am sad to let it go.
Tell me there is a stand in the airport for brochures and I can live with that. :rotfl:

Before you think I'm totaly nuts...I know that flying would be so much better.

I think I just have a sentimental attachment to it.
I drove down every spring with my parents from the snowy North.
The Welcome Center was where I always got to change into my shorts, there were palmtrees (palmettos?? inside CP joke), warm weather and the fresh juice.
Pure Bliss as a child. :cloud9:

My kids thought I was crazy for getting as excitted about "some brochures & juice" as Disney but I know they now look forward to it . ;)

I adore the girls little outfits!

Sorry to hear it didn't work out with Trent & Tanya.

The video is adorable....I love toddler speak, but Owen is really starting to come out of it. He's sounding more like a kid than toddler...I find that a little bittersweet.

I totally see ears on that cloud! :cloud9:

I'm scared you'll be on page 50 by the time I get back and I'll never keep up! :rotfl2:

I can just hear Brookie saying "What in the Wuhld" in a little British accent.

I just love that Welcome Center. We don't even need any of the WDW brochures, but we always grab all of them anyways. :thumbsup2

I for sure see the Mickey in the clouds! Good find!

I like to keep brochures in my classroom. My kids like to look at them, and they get some reading in in a fun way.

 That video was just too cute!

Bella was pretty excited about seeing her favorite feathered friends. :cutie:

WOW, I cant believe how many people have come to your TR in just the past 12 hours! Someone is very popular here;)

I see the Mickey in the cloud!

I knew our Disney friends would be able to see ears in that cloud. I bet we could show it to a dozen non-DISers and get different results. ;)

Love the video explaining the TR title! Flamingoes WERE in the water... What in the world???

She's such a silly little girl!
I always have liked flamingos, but now they will be even dearer to my heart because Bella likes them so much, too.

I see Mickeys everywhere too. I also have no intention of getting help for my affliction.

The video was as cute as I thought it would be. I will be in the world before you in Oct and miss you but I will be there NYE.

Nor do we. We like this DISease just fine.
Although it is a little expensive.

New Year's it is. :thumbsup2

LOVE that video! How adorable!:goodvibes

The welcome center is a must-do for us each trip. We usually stop and grab some brochures but we were making such good time this year we were anxious to get our oj and get back on the road.

We don't stop long, either. We get the girls out of jammies and into clothes, take a potty break, grab some juice, brochures, and a picture by the sign, and we're off. We did stay an extra one minute to see the puppy this time, however.

The cloud DOES look like Mickey ears!!

Bella looks so cute sitting patiently listening to her gymnastic teacher.

I'm sure Brooklynn did a fantastic job in her dance recital.

The video is so cute. Love Toddler speak. Makes my heart melt.

When our little ones start saying things correctly, it is the adults who hang on to the toddler way of saying it.

That is just adorable! You can really hear her on the "What in the Wuhld?!" part. I wonder how cute it would be if you actually saw her. Very cute (:

I regret now that I didn't have the camera on her, but I didn't know she was going to come up with that, of course.

Joining in! Can't wait to hear all about your trip!

So very glad to have you!

Wow you ladies move fast! A day late and I'm already behind 8 pages and a whole update! I'm here though and can't wait to hear all about your trip

And CreightonsMomma, I'm in the same boat as you. I grew up 30 minutes from Disneyland and I maybe went a grand total of 3 times, then (of course) my family and I move out to Pennsylvania where we are many miles away from any Disney Park! :rotfl2: My luck right?

The girls are very lucky to be such experienced Disney travelers :thumbsup2 when I have kids I hope to take them many times as well.

The girls will be able to breeze through the College Program someday! ;)

We are glad to have you along on this voyage, pirate friend!

Okay, Bella's incredulous little voice exclaiming over the mingos in the watah is too precious!!!

Yeay for a dance recital and a drive down to Disney! I agree, that cloud is definitely sporting Mickey ears. No doubt about it!

My aunt and uncle are visiting from Australia right now -- today we are headed to the mall because they need to go to a Disney store. Apparently, it is genetic. :lmao:

Have fun with your visiting family. A Disney Store trip will be just magical. :wizard:

That video is just about the cutest thing ever!!! :goodvibes

I wish I had had the camera on her at the time.

Yay for the first update!! I LOVE the video of Bella. She is so adorable! It reminds me of Blake when he was 2. He is speaking much better now but still says some very cute things.;) Brooklyn is adorable at her recital and Bella is so cute at gymnastics. I agree that flying is much better than driving to WDW. I experienced the drive the last time and it was not fun. :sad2:
I just wanted to tell you that we are getting even closer to buying DVC. I want to start with a few points and then buy into the Grand Floridian DVC when it starts selling. I am so excited!!! We will see.. At least Jason is seriously talking about it now. That is a major improvement!

Yay for serious talk about DVC! :dance3: Keep us posted. You know you would love it!

Yeah, driving is not as good as flying. It used to be my preferred method, but flying a few times in a row spoiled me!

You are about to go on an awesome trip! Will you be putting pictures on Facebook?

We don't want to see him either, I wish you would take him back to TN with you :sad2:

I went to junior high school with Charlie Crist at Riviera. He was in my square dancing group in P.E. I don't know how he turned out as a square dancer, but how did he do as governor?

I whole heartedly AGREE with you!

On a lighter note, that video is so cute! I can't wait for my little one to start talking more! :)

It will come, and then there will be days that you wished they'd never learned to talk.

I would so go for flying if I had to drive as far as you do!!! We can send you a gallon of orange juice and a box of brochures and you can pretend. :rotfl: What is the flight time for you from there, anyway?

It was pretty much Trent's doing. Tanya wanted to be here and be with him, but he just was too tired from his job to put anything into a relationship. If they can remain friends, then that will be good. Like I said, I don't think he's ever going to find his 'perfect' person, so I have given up on even hoping that there will be grandkids from him. I think it is sad, though, that he will never know the joy of being a parent.

And from 3 to 4 is really going to be a growing year. I always thought that about mine - at 3, they were still babies, but at 4, they were certainly not!

You have a glorious time on your vacation!

I could watch that video all day! That was so cute!
I can totally see the ears in the cloud!

Must be cool to drive across that border and get some OJ. Maybe someday we'll make that long drive.

Funny story :goodvibes I would take him back in a hot minute if it would get our current governor out! I can't wait until the next election!

You should take a trip to the Welcome Center just to get your brochures and juice. Oh, and a picture by the sign :thumbsup2 - although I would like it better if the governor's name wasn't plastered up there. We didn't really come to see him. ;)

Why do they bother to put the names on there? Does anyone visiting really care? I always wonder that when we are leaving Jacksonville's airport. It says, "Welcome to Jacksonville" and right below it says "Mayor John Payton". To me it always looks like it is a sign welcoming the mayor - "Welcome back to Jacksonville, mayor!":lmao:

I might need to take a trip to the Welcome Center :thumbsup2 I don't think it's far and as a stay at home mom, I'm always looking for different places to go with the girls.

Loved the video of Bella - so so cute :cutie:

And isn't it great to capture some of it, especially when before we know it they're talking in 'proper' sentences? Daisy has just had her 2nd birthday and is well into toddler speak too, but it's quite a task to turn the camera on her without her noticing :rolleyes1

Oh my gosh that video was SO STINKING CUTE!!

I had to play it twice because my kids demanded to know what was so funny when I cracked up at the end of it.

I played it again and they went around the house chanting "What in the whuld?" over and over again.

I expect I'll have to play it again for them today since they liked it so much.

Too fun!! :thumbsup2

Brooklynn your dance recital pictures were so cute!!!! Way to go!!!

I can see the Mickey in the clouds too!! You are not alone! ;)

Oh my sweet nibblets!!!! That video is adorable!!!!!! What in the wuhld!!!! I have watched it 5 times now and Bella just warms my heart!!!

I am still kicking myself for not taking video of Brooklynn and Hollie when we had our Cupcake meet!!!! The sweet little southern accents that were coming out of the mouths of those two!!!

I'm here!

After a very difficult year (that ended with the death of a beloved family member) I need some light at the end of my dark, dark tunnel! So, in August my friend and I are taking her 4 year old daughter to Pop for 3 nights! It's her 4th birthday, and this is the first time I'm going with a small child, so I'm so beside myself I don't even know how to plan this! (So I need to backtrack and read your TRs!)

Then, in October, David and I will be headed to Disney from the 1-8th! (If everything works out for this one)

So the girl i'm taking, she's gonna be 4, since you have experience, was Brooklynn able to ride things like Soarin and BTMR at 4? I measured her and I thought she was at least 40" but I may have measured her wrong, I did in a hurry because she started asking questions and its a surprise! (She's never been to WDW!)

Anyway, can't wait to read more and catch up with my old friends!

Brooklyn looks adorable for her dance recital. I am sure you all had lots of fun.

Hey, I think Jeremy saw Mickey in the clouds too on the way down! Too funny!

I could watch that video all day! That was so cute!
I can totally see the ears in the cloud!

Well, since you said that, I just had to go and watch it once more.

Definitely ears in the clouds. :thumbsup2

Must be cool to drive across that border and get some OJ. Maybe someday we'll make that long drive.

It would be way long for you. Maybe you could fly to Atlanta and then drive across the FL state line. Atlanta to Orlando isn't awful.

Or you could road trip it and stop to see all of your southern DIS friends along the way. :)

Funny story :goodvibes I would take him back in a hot minute if it would get our current governor out! I can't wait until the next election!

I didn't know how much people liked him or didn't, but I thought it was pretty cool that he 'made it big'. The first time I saw him with white hair, it was so wierd, because I remembered him with dark wavy hair.

To me, it takes away from the fun of the sign. People want to see the FLORIDA part of the sign, showing they have arrived in The Sunshine State. I don't like somebody's name up there, no matter who they are. Seems a little conceited to me.

There are so many fun places to go in Florida. I'd love to go back and visit St. Augustine. I want to take the girls to the beach, which we're planning to do next summer. I want to go back over to St. Pete, too.

Loved the video of Bella - so so cute :cutie:

All too soon Bella will be talking like a big girl. Then I'll start bugging Jill for another baby. ;)

Bella doesn't much like to get her picture made. Sometimes she'll cheese it up, but sometimes she's just not into cooperating for a picture.

I love that she says 'mingos' right before the guide does. Those are her friends. I never did see a mingo with the Mickey ears this time. Maybe they're only out during F&G?

I got a laugh out of your kids walking around the house saying that, so they returned the smiles to us. :goodvibes

I bet the conversation at the Hollie and Brooklynn table was worth taping. We'll get them together again. I'm sure there will be another Atlanta DIS meet when we get too Disney homesick and need a Disney Store run.

I thought several times about texting you, but I didn't want to bother you if you were just needing a break from Disney people and Disney things. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Feel free to share it with us, if you want to. I'm sorry I wasn't there to support you and encourage you during that time.

I hope you and David get to go in October.

The best advice we would give for going with a four year old is to make rope drops and then swim and nap/rest in the afternoon. You can go through Fantasyland in one hour without pushing it and be on your way to another land as it starts getting crowded. If you want to ask specific questions about our routine and what we have found best in maximizing time, we'll be glad to share.

We're so glad you're back with us. :)

Hey, I think Jeremy saw Mickey in the clouds too on the way down! Too funny!

Way to go, Jeremy! He's on his way to being a very good DISer.

I have to ask - Did your husband roll his eyes and claim you have corrupted the boy when he did that?

Believe it or not, we had a Disney Loving Tom with us this trip! It was wonderful! He was even seeing Mickey's along the way. Luckily they weren't in the clouds as he was driving during the day! :rotfl2:

Hope to get my trip started today! I have been sick and found out yesterday I have pink eye in BOTH eyes! :scared1: Feeling much better today.

Signing in I know late but glad to read another Memom and Jill report!!!! Now going to back to start it just jumped ahead to say I am on board! :cool1:
