I drag my feet about leaving the Magic Kingdom, too, but I have never wandered all the way back to the castle.
I like the idea of one Christmas at Disney and one at home -- I may have to put that into practice!
Anita, that's great news! A Disney engagement would certainly add to the festivities! (Are we sure Keeley will say yes?)
It is getting harder to coordinate times that we can go on trips, now that Brooklynn has a school schedule. It doesn't align with mine, unfortunately, except for Christmas and summer when we have some extended time together. I think we'll be down to two trips a year, possibly three during some years. It'll probably be a fall/winter-ish (either October, November, or December) trip and a summer trip, with an occasional spring break trip.
I love going on your shopping trips with you!!! I also love the Magic Kingdom!!! I am putting my college program plans on hold till i graduate, but we are planning our first trip in December to see the decorations!!! With my mom retiring from teaching we can not wait to finally see the decorations with lower crowds!!!
I would also like to ask for some prayers for our family, my dad passed away last night and although my parents are divorced and I wasn't that close to him its still really hard. So I am going shopping with my mom and we plan to stop at a
Disney store to get some of the Disney Magic to help keep me positive!!
Can't wait to follow along with you on more of your trips!!!
We will be thinking of you in your loss.
I will be happy when I can retire, too, if that ever happens, and I can go during some off times, as well.
Wow, you really did take your time leaving the MK! Did you also stop off in Frontierland and hit a few rides on your way out?
I agree, that new pattern is a bit busy...the colors are pretty though!
I would have if I could have!
The Magic Kingdom has got to be one of the hardest places there ever was to leave! Especially when you get up towards the entrance and you see all the people who are just coming in - that kills me! I think I may have stomped my way out last time like a child having a tantrum...
I don't stomp, but I think I get sullen and pout a little.

And it is not very nice of those people to be walking in when we are walking out - at all!!!
Thanks nowellsl This news makes me VERY happy!
If that is us on NYE night....I hope I'ts not Lexi, DMom and myself that are the "bananas" that are frozen still...
This is wonderful news...can't wait to see everyone as planned!
I hope it is a perfect night for fireworks, friends, food, and fun!
Is your mom still doing okay with her eye? She does her other stuff tomorrow, is that what you said?
That's quite a detour on your way out! But who can blame you. It is a very tough place to leave. That's why I always need to be plotting the next trip!
Wonder what makes that tote bag $185??
Jill usually has to take a hook to me on the way out.

When we leave this time, we will know when we are going back, so that does help. I don't think we've left there in a lot of years without having something else in the works.
I'm a feet dragger too...
Haha, Jackie....
We all know Keeley and her moods.
Let's hope for a good mood!
I'm going off with Kyle this afternoon to look at rings.
It won't matter if she says no. We'll all be clapping so loud and acting crazy that he won't hear her. He'll just think she said yes, and then she won't be able to change anything from there.

That is, if we're there. He may decide he doesn't want an audience of millions, or he may do it at dinner or something. You can keep us posted on the plans as they develop.
Tinkergurl20 I'm sorry for your loss. I hope the Disney Store visit lifts your spirits.
Wig'd .... that is such exciting news!
Do you know the style of ring she would like?
A Disney World engagement is awesome!
I can't wait to see pics of the special occasion.
CP if you PM me your address I can get Aaron to burn you a copy of my 'new/ never been opened yet' copy of The Candlelight Processional.
I so enjoyed all the pics this morning!
I didn't know about the apple cider at GF...is it complimentary?
I can't wait to see those 'gaudy' displays at Ft. Wilderness. I booked a carriage ride that should be a lot of fun.
Has anyone done the carriage ride before?
My yard has a bunch of inflatables at Christmastime...and I don't care if it looks tacky...I adore them all!
This year we are adding Winnie the Pooh.
I'm putting those chocolate dipped strawberries on my snack list, they look yummy.
I never noticed that Mickey baking mold...hope there's more than one so we don't have to fight over it.
Awww, the balloons always make me smile! I wanted to get the lighted Tinkerbell one but felt a little foolish at my age walking with one.
I think all of us can relate to the dreaded final walk out of MK.
I think it's too funny that you walked right back in.
But you took a lovely pic, glad you did!
Yes, the apple cider was complimentary. You know you are at
the Grand. Weren't the flowers pretty?
I won't fight you over the last cake mold. I'll just offer to hold your packages while you ride something, and when you come back, it'll be a little lighter.

That's the way I do things.
You need to go over to Fort Wilderness to check it out. Lexi would love seeing all the displays. There is such a friendly atmosphere over there, too.
Leaving the MK is just so hard!
As always, I love your shopping pics.
Yeah, we just try to soak in everything we can, knowing we are about to go back to Real World in just a short while. The next day, I walk around in a daze thinking about where I was 24 hours earlier.
I have seen POFQ and I have been at POR but besides a quick trip to the pool and Yee Ha Bob I don't feel as well versed in themeing as let's say the Poly.
First I was going to rank the resorts from those I felt I knew the most about to those the least. That may open me to ridicule when I miss a question.
Then I figured I would just list the ones I have never stepped foot in but that would be Shades of Green and either the Swan or the Dolphin. I guess I could count Kidani village and BLT even though I have been in their "parent" resort.
Resorts I have not stayed at include
Poly - - Even though I feel I know that one the best. GF,POR, OKW, YC, Swan and Dolphin, WL and VWL ( another one of those I have not wandered over to. ) I will cross SSR and AKL off the list next trip.
To complicate things more Christmas decorations at the resorts are a whole 'nother thing. BC, BW, YC, CR,CSR,ASmu and AKL are the only ones I have pictures of all decked out.
I think I got bananas dancing again. I hope them being frozen is not a indication of the weather. '09 it got really cold after the new year.
That is what I have down but I thought I saw her write the 30th a time or two. I will have to move around ARD's if that is the case. Chris requested WCC again and I have that booked on the 30th.
I don't know that we are allowed in Shades of Green, so I will probably not get over there. Can you take a bus and just see the lobby and grounds, or are there certain security measures there that are stricter about visitors?
I have not see Yacht Club, Saratoga, Kidani, or Old Key West at Christmas. I am going to at least remedy OKW and hopefully Kidani.
It is really hard to drag yourself away from Main Street, isn't it? I always find myself wishing that my real hometown Main St. was just like that. Unfortunately, it's not even close. I'm much more likely to get mugged there than to find a trolley full of singers.
Seeing all your pictures of the Confectionary over the years made me finally go in there for the first time on this last trip. Lots of goodies in there for sure! I loved seeing the bakers make everything in front of you.
DIStown will have a beautiful Main Street, when we all move there.
The Confectionery is such a bright, happy place.. It's a good place to pick up last minute gifts, like fudge or Mickey krispy treats as you leave Magic Kingdom. I think after you do that, you are supposed to head out of the park, though, not back toward the castle.
Forgot to comment on your "Family Circus" way of leaving MK. Maybe you thought you were exiting through the CM exit?
I did get a tiny bit sidetracked. How many steps from The Confectionery to the front gate? I may never know the truth.
