Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

Love the tiger pictures. I am always amazed when watching the big cats how similar in movement and mannerisms they are to our domestic cats.

I agree. My cat moves the same way.

Yes! They were too cute to pass up! Didn't see the door knob ones

I also bought Tinkerbell & Mickey light up signs for the windows.
3 Yard signs, "Merry Christmas" decoration with Mickey and an adorable wooden block countdown to Christmas with Mickey.
Oh yeah, a light up cup for Lexi too. :santa:

I find the best Disney seasonal stuff there.

I have checked out Disney items at Walmart, Kroger, and Target, but not Walgreens. From now until Christmas, I think I am going to try to stay out of anything but a grocery store. It will be safer that way. :)

I love the pictures of the tigers, it amazes me how much they look like my cats when they lay around. I mean I get that they are part of the same family but still, it amazes me.

I am the same way - they walk the same and sprawl out the same.

No...I didn't mention snowglobes in my post...I wouldn't dare....they are plush snowman.

Great pics of the tiger!

havn't been to Flametree BBQ in awhile...does look very yummy!

Did I miss the Disney dishware at Target again?

I will pretend that I did not hear anything about snowglobes. I went to Gymboree yesterday to get the girls a few things, and there was a shirt with a snowglobe embroidered on the front of it. Who would put a death chamber on the front of a little girl's shirt?!?!? That's just cruel!

I like babysitting Caleb If it was like 4 hours a day I might not be so happy about it : But he's so much easier than Kazin. Not that Kazin is bad, but he's just really active and he's always getting into everything. Caleb is perfectly happy just sitting there playing with the toys and watching a movie. I haven't watched Kazin in a while though so maybe he'd be easier now.

I wore my contacts every day my junior year and some of senior year. Then I just got lazy when my "senioritis" kicked in and I was basically rolling out of bed and into the car I wore them for my last day of school, friendship service, and graduation. I think I've worn them twice since then Every time I wear them I remember that I do actually like wearing them. I really can't see anything without my glasses/contacts. If I wear my contacts I have to wear glasses over them for reading which is kind of annoying.

Glasses and contacts at the same time? That would be a mess for me!

Wow! I'm actually a little surprised that rabbit came to visit yall. I thought wild rabbits were scared of people? Apparently not! I think I would have been freaked out by those birds. I don't mind small-medium sized ones. Big ones can be quite terrifying.

Beautiful pictures of the tigers! I can't believe I'm about to say this but I've never made it over to the Maharajah Jungle Trek. I need to make that a top priority because I love tigers!

I hope you get to visit Maharajah someday. Be sure to follow the warnings to stay on the trail so that you will be safe from roaming tigers. :thumbsup2

I think all Disney animals are pretty much desensitized to having much fear of people. We have had some get very, very close to us and never bat an eye.

I have 3 Disney Christmas snowglobes!

I can't talk to you right now. :crazy2:

They all seem to put out different things, so I go to different ones when I get the chance! They also had some cute fiber optic trees, one has Mickey and Minnie on the base, one has the princesses, and one has cars. The base lights up. Those are on my list. You have to look close in Walgreens, they put a lot of stuff up on top of the shelfs and bring it down a little at a time! I'm a frequent flyer at Walgreens

You always fin the neatest things. Since we're going to be gone for Christmas, and I'm coming back after New Year and going straught back to work, I am thinking of not even dragging my small tree out this year. Maybe I should check out the fiber optic one?

Love all (almost all, not the bats ) the animal pictures from Pangani, especially the tigers. They're so beautiful!

We spend a lot more time looking at tigers than we do at bats, although the bats are kind of fascinating, too, especially if you can catch them eating.

All caught up again! Looks like it was a lovely morning at MK. I recognized the guy from Peter Pan too. He must love his job.

The little tour at Boma looked so cool. It's so fun that Disney does stuff like that.

Kudos to Jill for finding that earring back! We love Flame Tree BBQ but boy does Alex hate those birds! Luckily there weren't any bothering us last time. It didn't even occur to me until you reminded me.

I'm so happy your evaluation is over!

I am happy to have 3/4 of the eval done. I have one more part to do after the first of the year. I feel sorry for my friends who have theirs going on right between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I never even realized the fear of birds was so widespread until I read about so many DIS friends having an aversion to them. I bet some of you never thought much of a fear of snowglobes, either. The DIS is an enlightening place. ;)

I'm guessing we got a good night's sleep, since we were in early.
For whatever reason, I have no morning pictures until we made it to our next park.

(Returning to say now I know why. This was our last day, so we were busy packing that morning.)

Good morning, Magic Kingdom!

That's all for now.
Happy Saturday, DIStown!

Aah.. lovely Magic Kingdom pictures to feast my eyes on. Brooklynn looks totally in control on the speedway, wearing her shades for extra effect:cool1: I also love the photo of Bella sat on the Dumbo ride. She is such a little darling.I have failed to keep up with the TR again this week.I was busy preparing for an Early Years Practitioners interview at a pre-school. I got the job!!:woohoo: A few more hours than my current job, but more ££ equals more $$ for Disney right!!:yay:

I can finally come and play in DIS town! It's been a crazy week, but now we are off all next week -- I am so happy about that -- no school, no classes for my degree, no papers to write or grade -- just "fun" time. :goodvibes

I can't believe Jill was able to spot your earring back -- I can't even find mine when they fall on the bathroom floor.

I love the look of the food at Flame Tree and the view -- is it miserably hot during the summer or do they have fans running?

That tiger stretched out on the branch is too funny! He's just a great big kitty! :lmao:

I wrote Mickey a birthday message on my board at school yesterday -- and wore my Mickey earrings and necklace. :thumbsup2

Looks like you guys hit the speedway at the right time! The girls are both so adorable - I love Brooklynn's little rockstar sunglasses! Bella looks like she was having a great time with you on Dumbo! :goodvibes

A nice end to AK and a big beautiful beginning to MK day.

Have a great Saturday- today brings day of raking leves. :crazy2:

Nothing like colored sugar before bed! :rotfl:

I love the rope drop photos - that's a scene we don't/won't get to see too often.

I also loved Hollywood behind the driver's wheel.

Good Morning MeMom!
Cute Pictures of your girls! I smiled at Brook in the car with her shades and Bella on Dumbo!
We are getting so close to our big trip....
I can't wait to see your family and you to see my little ones!
We are eating at Crystal Palace around 7pm on the 25th, I think.

I had the sit down with my principal yesterday about my evaluation.:scared1:
I managed to change the topic to you and your evaluation nightmares.

I don't know if I told you about my kiddo that has been evaluated and has an IQ that puts him in the "Genius" range. This kid just thinks differently.
Well the entire time I was teaching he wanted to show off for Mary the principal so he kept asking "do you have anything harder for me?....
He had me so flustered.
Anyway she and I had a good laugh about it yesterday.
It was an informal year for me so I did OK, I set goals and that was about it.
I'm done for the year and I have a formal evaluation next year. That will mean a scheduled time and a surprise visit.
Happy Saturday.
I have homework to do for my class, papers to grade, and Hunter's birthday party to get ready for!
Oh and housework....

I can't talk to you right now. :crazy2: I bet some of you never thought much of a fear of snowglobes, either. The DIS is an enlightening place. ;)

:lmao: Oh MeMom you're awesome! You know I'm just teasing!

I love the morning Welcome show at MK. It makes me soooo happy everytime I see it! And I love that Daisy and Mary Poppins are standing together in your photos! My two favourite Disney girls!:goodvibes

I love the pictures of Bella in Fantasyland and the one of miss Brooklynn behind the wheel with her shades on! :cool2: Super adorable! Goodness those girls are cute! And I could sure go for that cupcake!

There's just nothing better than an evening at Disney followed by a morning at the Magic Kingdom... sigh... :goodvibes]
Hahah, Brooklynn does look like a movie star in her little sunglasses. Looks like Bella had an awesome first ride on the Speedway! The shot of her in the picture-taking Dumbo is just too cute. :)

I bet some of you never thought much of a fear of snowglobes, either. The DIS is an enlightening place. ;)

I read a book by Stephen King a while back called "Under the Dome" you would love it

I can't remember if I commented on the scenery at Flame Tree - I think so, but I'm too lazy to check. It's so pretty back there - never seen it, I think we'll have to pop in next time.

Such cute pictures of the girls at MK - driving and on Dumbo!!

Thanks for a lovely MK morning!!

I got to spend Mickey's Birthday at Disneyland! I took my DD for a belated birthday trip (her actual was 11-15 and she turned 17). We needed a mental health day also, it's been a rough week for her in school... plus... I needed some of that Disney holiday magic! All the decorations were up and beautiful. After seeing the Castle & Small World lit up & getting a little "snow", I am all ready for the holiday season! It was even cold the entire day, so it even felt like winter (well, for those of us in Calif., that think anything below 60 is freezing cold). I love seeing Small World with the Christmas overlay and playing Christmas music. Makes for a happy mom! Now, unfortunately, it is back to real life and a house to clean and laundry to do. :laundy:

Love the pics of the girls at MK. I always say I'll make a rope drop, but I never do. In Florida, I can't get the family up early on their vacation and with traffic here in California, I just can't get there early enough! The pictures of the girls in their cars made me smile... such cuties!

I hope you get your package today!!

Love the pics of Flametree. We love eating down there by the water. It is so quiet. We usually do not have too many problems with the birds.

Pretty pic at Pop with the sunset & trees.:lovestruc

Yup I had it in my calendar that it was Mickey's birthday & I was telling everyone in the office who's birthday it was.

:mickeyjum I'm so thankful there is a Mickey Mouse to celebrate! He is awesome! :mickeyjum

It's always fun to see the girls enjoying the rides...they are so cute!

Wow...that was the perfect time to go on the Speedway! :car:

I enjoyed one of those cupcakes awhile back and it was deliscious! :thumbsup2

I have a question...forgive my forgetfulness if I have already asked this...
Do they have special New Year's ears or hats? I ask this of the holiday veterans since I am a newbie.

Have a great Saturday night all! :goodvibes

Wow Memom you threw me off going straight to the speedway. I was expecting a Dumbo run. It does seem like Bella is enjoying her car ride though. I'm glad Brooklynn had her sunglasses. I always hate to drive if I forget mine. ;)

She loves driving those cars! I let her drive me around in October, and it was so much fun to watch her face.

Congratulations on your job! :woohoo: I may come and work with you. :thumbsup2

I am very happy for you to have the time off. We have to go to school Monday and Tuesday, but we'll do mostly Thanksgiving reading and maybe do a craft, if I can find something cheap and cute tomorrow. I am going to go by Michael's on the way home from church to see what I can come up with.

I think the look of the tiger's face as he hangs out on the tree branch and the way he is resting on his arm makes for a cute picture.

Morning work for my kids yesterday was to copy a very short paragraph that I had written about Mickey Mouse and draw a picture. They loved that assignment!

You know, I want to say there are fans there, but then again, I could be wrong. I have taken enough ceiling pictures that I should know. I don't recall that we've ever been burning up hot sitting down there, so if there are not fans, the shade must do a good enough job of keeping us cooler.

Bella and I have a fun time hanging out in Fantasyland when the big guys are off riding other things. :cutie:

A nice end to AK and a big beautiful beginning to MK day.

Have a great Saturday- today brings day of raking leves.

Looking back at the pictures, I now remember that that was our last night. The girls want to hula hoop one last time. That was important to Brooklynn.

I washed clothes and dishes, went through a huge stack of papers/mail I had been piling up, and straightened up the back room a little. It's a catch-all room right now, but since Jill and John will need to sleep in there Friday night, I had to get it cleaned up.

Nothing like colored sugar before bed!

I love the rope drop photos - that's a scene we don't/won't get to see too often.

I also loved Hollywood behind the driver's wheel.

It always surprises me when people say they have never seen the opening show! I know sleeping late is a huge part of a vacation for many, but if they can force themselves up early even one morning and empty Magic Kingdom and no lines is a good reward.

Good Morning MeMom!

Oh and housework....

Glad my troubles could be a diversion from talking about your eval. :thumbsup2 We had formal and informal years, too, until this craziness. Now every year is formal - 4 for tenured and 6 for non-tenured with checklists a mile long. Principals are going nuts!

I look forward to seeing pictures of the birthday boy. :goodvibes

We will see you on Christmas Day. We'll be there in mid-afternoon, and if we can get in, we're coming to Magic Kingdom. If I sit out on the porch, will you fill your purse with roast and bring it out to me?

Oh MeMom you're awesome! You know I'm just teasing!

Isn't it cool when all the characters are together? That's why I love the big white Fantasmic boat so much!

I love that picture of Bella in the Dumbo car. She just looks so happy!

She was having a fun morning. We did whatever she wanted to do, since the others were elsewhere.

There's just nothing better than an evening at Disney followed by a morning at the Magic Kingdom... sigh... ]
Hahah, Brooklynn does look like a movie star in her little sunglasses. Looks like Bella had an awesome first ride on the Speedway! The shot of her in the picture-taking Dumbo is just too cute.

Bella's a little bitty thing in that big old elephant, isn't she?
Brooklynn very much enjoys driving the cars. Wouldn't it be cool if she had a mini-track in her backyard?

I read a book by Stephen King a while back called "Under the Dome" you would love it

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

You are just begging me to call a moderator on you, aren't you??? ;)

Such cute pictures of the girls at MK - driving and on Dumbo!!

Thanks for a lovely MK morning!!

It is a very peaceful place to eat.

I am so looking forward to being back in Magic Kingdom and seeing it all dressed up for Christmas!

I got to spend Mickey's Birthday at Disneyland! I took my DD for a belated birthday trip (her actual was 11-15 and she turned 17). Very cool that you got that huge dose of Disney Christmas fun!

I talked to the girls on the phone a little while ago. I think it was just about time for them to get baths and get in bed. Bella sounded tired and was upset because Brooklynn got to the phone before her. :upsidedow I'm sure Jill will enjoy the quiet of the evening after she gets them down.

I hope you get your package today!!

Love the pics of Flametree. We love eating down there by the water. It is so quiet. We usually do not have too many problems with the birds.

Pretty pic at Pop with the sunset & trees.

Yup I had it in my calendar that it was Mickey's birthday & I was telling everyone in the office who's birthday it was.

I did! :dance3: Thank you so much! I love having DIS friends! :goodvibes

I wish that sunset picture would have been clearer. I need to practice more with my new camera before we go next time. I also need to slow down and be steadier.

:mickeyjum I'm so thankful there is a Mickey Mouse to celebrate! He is awesome! :mickeyjum

It's always fun to see the girls enjoying the rides...they are so cute!

Have a great Saturday night all!

There are hats for every occasion. You shouldn't have any trouble finding ears/hats to wear NYE. We're going to have so much fun!

I would have had to scrape almost all of the icing off that cupcake. I think they are pretty, but I only like a thin layer of frosting on my cakes.

Wow Memom you threw me off going straight to the speedway. I was expecting a Dumbo run. It does seem like Bella is enjoying her car ride though. I'm glad Brooklynn had her sunglasses. I always hate to drive if I forget mine.

Threw you off, did we? That is definitely not our usual loop, but we had promised Brooklynn we'd go back to the Speedway when it was too crowded the first time she wanted to ride it. We're going to have to come up with an entirely new game plan when all of the new Fantasyland stuff opens up. Double Dumbo is supposed to open early next year, as well as the Great Goofini's Coaster. When Little Mermaid opens in 2013, we'll probably change things again. We have lots of exciting things to look forward to!
