Mingos in the Watah! What in the Wuhld?

Grading papers - yuck, yuck, yuck!!!

I hope you were feeling better Sunday. We're all coughing around here, but not feeling too bad. Sinuses, I guess, since my left ear hurts and then right over my eyes there is pressure.

I always think of you at AKL. I plan to send you a Christmas tree picture from there in December.

I will be there!!! Can't wait!!!

I was worried about my group, too. but there was plenty of 'normal' stuff there for everyone to be happy. The roast was sooo good!

I do want to try breakfast there, as well. :thumbsup2 That's actually how I thought I would get my bunch there to start with, but they agreed to dinner, and everyone was pleased.

We did breakfast there and it was good, but we aren't big breakfast eaters and thought it was pricey!!

They have it right before they open for the evening. I think it was at 4 maybe? You just show up.

I want do the tour some time. We tried to do it last time we stayed there and they weren't offering it because of the holidays!

It will be even prettier in December. The AKL tree is so cool.
I think that about all the Disney trees, though. I love how they are so well themed.

It is cool in Dec. I can't wait we will be at Kidani and are eating at Bome on the 26th!!!! Only 40 more days.......not that I'm counting or anything!!!!:cool1::banana:

:rotfl: Another good reason I live at home. I only have to eat one cafeteria meal a day instead of three :scared1: I haven't tried the hot meals they have here. I usually just get the pre-made cold sandwiches. They seem safe and they're pretty good

I don't even notice your accent because I'm so used to Boston accents :rotfl: When I went to a Sox game with my dad a couple years ago he kept talking in a fake Boston accent. He put up a picture on facebook the next day and the caption said "I went to a game at Fenway Pahk yestahday with my daughtah. We had a great view of the Green Monstah." :rotfl: He's from the Worcester area so his New England accent isn't as strong

I didn't have any trouble understanding you or Jill when we met but one of my mom's co-workers in North Carolina has a VERY strong accent. My mom's gotten used to it but I can barely understand her :rotfl:

Hey now....my accent isn't that bad..... at least I don't think it is!! Although on our cruise a fellow Diser from Los Angeles was giving me a hard time! He said he liked the way I talked!!!:rotfl: Anita, is my accent bad???:lmao:

I am super picky, and I found plenty of yummy stuff to eat. They have a small "kids food" section with chicken nuggets and macaroni and things so I was able to try some new foods without fear of starving. The roast was super yummy and the desserts are worth the ADR alone!

We are picky eaters too and found plenty to eat at Boma for dinner. I especially liked the desserts!!!! My guys aren't huge dessert fans, but I ate plenty!!!

Ok, I'm caught up again.
Add me to the Dis NYE meet at the Poly!!! Elena and maybe John and Michael...depends on there mood!!
A Jungle cruise meet would be fun too.
What day is everyone arriving at DW? We are going 12/26- 1/1.

Jill, Great job finding the earring back!!!

Elena, I can't imagine that Micheal won't want to join in on the NYE meet, he was such a social guy last year when we hung out!

I don't think you have a strong accent, just a nice rich drawl...
Does that make sense?

He is a social guy!!! But he's not a real late night person and he doesn't like fireworks!! Go figure!! :scared1::sad2: I usually end up watching them by myself!!!

Yes, it does make sense! :)

If he can get past the lateness of the evening, we will be far enough removed from the fireworks that he might just have a good time!

Love the pictures of the tigers!! Aren't they beautiful creatures!!! A walk through AK was a splendid way to end my evening!

True. Fireworks (sound, etc.) don't bother him, he just doesn't really like them.:sad2: He gets that from John! I think he would have fun hanging with the crowd though! He does like to socialize!

I am sorry about the gift card drawing-so close!!
My MIL bought those Mickey shoes
GREAT pics of the Tigers!!
Sounds like we will miss you in Oct-girls fall break is Oct 15-19-looks like I will overlap with Ms Pat:) Hoping for BCV but booking at Kidani at 11mo mark-tonight actually:)

I think Caleb is the easiest kid to babysit. I had him yesterday for an hour and a half and he slept almost the whole time. He woke up 5 minutes before Jeremy picked him up. Then today I had him for an hour and we played with the dinosaurs and cars and then he sat down and watched the Lion King and ate his Cars gummy snacks for like 15 minutes until Jeremy came. We watch the Lion King every time he's here  Apparently he watches it all the time at home too. Today he went right for the dinosaurs and then looked at me and said "Lion King?" so I put it on  Jeremy told me yesterday that Caleb asks about me during the week and on days he gets home from work on time Caleb gets confused because he never went to my house :lovestruc I'm babysitting him after school fairly regularly now. It's usually for about 45-60 minutes until Jeremy gets home. He does construction and has to work late a lot. I get home right when Leslie has to leave for work and they live 2 miles away so it works out well.

Can you believe that in all those tiny pebbles,

Jill found it??? :thumbsup2

 That's impressive! Looking for something that small in the pebbles is like looking for a contact lense when I drop one in the bathroom :faint: They're basically impossible to find. I still haven't worn my contacts to school since I started college because I have this weird fear that one will randomly fall out while I'm driving on the highway and it'll be the one day I forget to bring my glasses. My mom keeps reminding me that she used to wear her contacts to work every day and that has never happened to her :rotfl:

Hey now....my accent isn't that bad..... at least I don't think it is!! Although on our cruise a fellow Diser from Los Angeles was giving me a hard time! He said he liked the way I talked!!!:rotfl: Anita, is my accent bad???:lmao:

:rotfl: I don't have any trouble understanding her other NC coworkers but for some reason that one woman has a REALLY strong accent.

I've always wanted to try Flame Tree BBQ, it sounds really good there! And the view looks gorgeous! But I do fear those ankle-nipping birds! Good thing your only animal company was a cute bunny!

The chicken is a safer bet than the ribs, just for informational purposes. The ribs are good when they are tender, but we've had them when they're tough, and they're not such a good deal for the money then. The chicken, at least for us, has always been moist.

Thanks for the walk through AK this evening.

Looks like the tigers were being sort of cooperative. The only time I have seen them in action is when is was 45 degrees out.

I am hoping the cooler December temperatures will have the tigers up and moving, too. :thumbsup2

I love that blue bird; the little head feathers crack me up!

I love the tigers, too! I could seriously watch them all day, they're so pretty.

We are at just seven weeks today, so seven weeks from right now, I will finally be back at WDW! I actually called the vet yesterday to make an appointment for my dog's rabies vaccine and anything else he needs, since I'm boarding him there the week we are gone. For some reason, that was what really made me think we are coming up quickly. When I think about the fact that we are at seven weeks, I get a little freaked out because I feel like I still have SO much to get done. And, of course, after the countdown gets out of the forties, it's in the thirties, which to me always mean it's really, really close!

The head feathers are cool, aren't they? I was trying to get him face on, but the feathers may actually show up better the way I got it.

Counting in weeks makes things go by faster to me. When you get into the 30's in days, it does fly by!!!

I love all the animal pictures. Especially the tiger. And the bunny. But I have never seen a bunny with such short ears. Are we sure it was a bunny, or was it something else? So glad those birds don't try to eat the girls!

Maybe we can find an AK CM who knows the exact name of the short-eared friend.

We've never had trouble with birds in Disney World. I think they know we aren't scared, so they wait around for those who are before they get an attitude.

It is cool in Dec. I can't wait we will be at Kidani and are eating at Bome on the 26th!!!! Only 40 more days.......not that I'm counting or anything!!!!

I have got to get to Kidani for pictures. I am hoping we can walk from Jambo to Kidani to take Christmas tree pictures. I had planned to do that in October, but I just didn't have time.

We are picky eaters too and found plenty to eat at Boma for dinner. I especially liked the desserts!!!! My guys aren't huge dessert fans, but I ate plenty!!!

Jill, Great job finding the earring back!!!

When you get a second, go pull up the list and add yourselves to it. I hope everyone can come. :woohoo:

Maybe the Jungle Cruise ride should be the 30? Will everyone be there then? Trent and Jarvis are coming the 29th, and I don't think Jarvis has been on the Jungle Cruise.

Love the pictures of the tigers!! Aren't they beautiful creatures!!! A walk through AK was a splendid way to end my evening!

They are spectacular creatures, in my opinion. I love the look on the face of the one hanging from the branch, and you can see the power in the arm his head is laying on.

I am sorry about the gift card drawing-so close!!

My break will probably be at about that time, but my guess is that Jill will want to go when Brooklynn is out. If I can get off, I will go with them, but if school is as crazy next year as it was this year, then I will probably not get to. We'll just hav to call that one a little closer to October. If I don't get an October trip, I will be craving a Thanksgiving trip.

I am glad you are getting to have some time with Caleb, and I know your help is appreciated by the working parents. :thumbsup2 Sounds like you'd be an expert at babysitting Brooklynn, too, because a movie and a pack of fruit snacks is all she needs to keep her happy. :cutie:

I wore contacts for many years, but as I have gotten older, my eyes have changed. I found myself taking them in and out too much, so I went back to glasses, which I only wear for driving. I don't need them for everyday reading like I did when I was a kid.

Love the tiger pictures. I am always amazed when watching the big cats how similar in movement and mannerisms they are to our domestic cats.

Did you get the collapsable ones? I got those and the felt ones you hang on a doorknob! They are both cute!!

Yes! They were too cute to pass up! Didn't see the door knob ones...:sad2:

I also bought Tinkerbell & Mickey light up signs for the windows.
3 Yard signs, "Merry Christmas" decoration with Mickey and an adorable wooden block countdown to Christmas with Mickey.
Oh yeah, a light up cup for Lexi too. :santa:

I find the best Disney seasonal stuff there. :thumbsup2

I love the pictures of the tigers, it amazes me how much they look like my cats when they lay around. I mean I get that they are part of the same family but still, it amazes me.

No...I didn't mention snowglobes in my post...I wouldn't dare....they are plush snowman.

Great pics of the tiger! :thumbsup2

havn't been to Flametree BBQ in awhile...does look very yummy!

Did I miss the Disney dishware at Target again? :sad1:

I like babysitting Caleb :) If it was like 4 hours a day I might not be so happy about it :rotfl: But he's so much easier than Kazin. Not that Kazin is bad, but he's just really active and he's always getting into everything. Caleb is perfectly happy just sitting there playing with the toys and watching a movie. I haven't watched Kazin in a while though so maybe he'd be easier now.

I wore my contacts every day my junior year and some of senior year. Then I just got lazy when my "senioritis" kicked in and I was basically rolling out of bed and into the car :rotfl: I wore them for my last day of school, friendship service, and graduation. I think I've worn them twice since then  Every time I wear them I remember that I do actually like wearing them. I really can't see anything without my glasses/contacts. If I wear my contacts I have to wear glasses over them for reading which is kind of annoying.

Wow! I'm actually a little surprised that rabbit came to visit yall. I thought wild rabbits were scared of people? Apparently not! I think I would have been freaked out by those birds. I don't mind small-medium sized ones. Big ones can be quite terrifying.

Beautiful pictures of the tigers! I can't believe I'm about to say this but I've never made it over to the Maharajah Jungle Trek. I need to make that a top priority because I love tigers!

They all seem to put out different things, so I go to different ones when I get the chance! They also had some cute fiber optic trees, one has Mickey and Minnie on the base, one has the princesses, and one has cars. The base lights up. Those are on my list. You have to look close in Walgreens, they put a lot of stuff up on top of the shelfs and bring it down a little at a time! I'm a frequent flyer at Walgreens :goodvibes

Love all (almost all, not the bats ) the animal pictures from Pangani, especially the tigers. They're so beautiful!

All caught up again! :thumbsup2 Looks like it was a lovely morning at MK. I recognized the guy from Peter Pan too. He must love his job.

The little tour at Boma looked so cool. It's so fun that Disney does stuff like that.

Kudos to Jill for finding that earring back! We love Flame Tree BBQ but boy does Alex hate those birds! Luckily there weren't any bothering us last time. It didn't even occur to me until you reminded me.

I'm so happy your evaluation is over! :goodvibes

Back for responses later, because I have lots to get done this morning - but I just wanted to say
