Disney Christmas pictures definitely help start the day off right
I'm hoping when we're there next year for our honeymoon we'll catch the beginning of all the Christmas decorations since we'll be there until November 10.
MVMCP started on the 8th this year so I think we have a decent chance of seeing some stuff. Until then, your pictures and TR will get me through!
Happy last day before Thanksgiving break!
I think you will see some decorations. They pretty much go straight from Halloween to Christmas, from what I have read/heard. We were there in mid-November one year, and Christmas decorations were going strong.
The two day work week was nice. Hope your last day goes smoothly. My student teacher was ready to get out of there. He's not really a little kid person, and they wear him out!
What a great way to start the day!
Hurrah for getting your Magical Express tags. That always makes it even more real!
I have only one tag, though, since we're not flying Southwest this time. This will be my first experience with AirTran, and I am a little hesitant about it. I have my comfort zone with flying. I'll just be glad to get there without driving, though, so I will do it.
You are certainly treating us with all these beautiful Christmas photo's. I really wanted to go to Disney in the lead up to Christmas ,but Callum(my DH), says he just can't get his head round going when it's not super hot. We normally go May/June time. I hope you guy's are all looking forward to Thanksgiving and spending time with family and friends. Callum works for an American based company, so he is looking forward to a slightly less busy work schedule with regards to online meetings etc..All his big bosses in North Carolina will hopefully be taking the time off work (he's hoping.)I hope the weather picks up so you can go out and collect pine cones.
As nice as it is to be able to go when it is warm enough to enjoy the pools for sure, it is also nice to stand in lines without being so hot. There are good things to be said for trips during all of the seasons - swimming in the summer, not so hot in the fall, holiday decorations, spring 'aliveness' - that's why my ideal schedule would be 4 trips per year.
I'm glad your husband will get some relief this week. Most of our people should be stuffing themselves with mass quantities of food all week, sleeping, watching football, shopping, etc. - enough to not be needing him to work so much.
It never stopped raining, so the pinecone turkeys never came to life. The kids were happy with some coloring sheets and a stack of construction paper. I just let them make whatever they wanted to, and they were perfectly content.
Sigh, you had to post those AKL trees, didn't you, MeMom? I want my tree to look like theirs!
Happy Last Day of School Before Thanksgiving! May the children behave for you, and may you have a lovely day!
The kids were very good. A two day work week sure is nice. One day you start, and the next day you finish. Very nice!
I think you deserve at least a small AK tree. You could get a 2-3 footer and start collecting ornaments a few at a time.
Love the Christmas pics this morning! I know Jackie really loved the AK ones. I hope you have a relaxing day before break. My Blake is at work with me right now. Cross fingers that it goes well.
I had a good day. I saw your FB post, though, and I know that yours was not as good. I am sorry for the sad news you had to give people. I don't know if having Blake with you on the ride home made it easier or harder for you. Maybe easier to divert your attention or maybe harder because you wanted to hug him and cry for the other family.
I'm loving the holiday photos! I'm so ready to decorate for Christmas. We are putting our tree up on Thursday.
And what an exciting year it will be for you guys as you celebrate a new addition!

Imagine what next year holds!!!
Thanks for all those Christmas photos! They're making me VERY excited to go see most of that stuff in person in just a few weeks!
Nobody does Christmas like Disney!
We got a pin code yesterday!!! 35% off deluxe resorts, 30% off moderate, and 25% off value. I'm still hoping for this January trip!!! My mom said if we go it'll probably be last minute because of her work schedule. We might not know until two weeks away That horrifies the OCD part of me But that would also mean an extra short wait. If we get some idea of when we might go in the next couple weeks I might make a couple of ADR's just in case. I'm really hoping for Jan 7-13 or something like that. Then we'd make it for the Osborne lights And we'd overlap with Meg I also don't go back to school until the 23rd so I'd have some time to recuperate. I hate having to go back the day after we get home
I just realized that I have less than a month of the semester left After tomorrow I have two more weeks of class, then exams the next week, and that's it. I have no idea what I'm gonna do with myself for a month Well actually yes I do. Finish all of the projects I started over the summer and never finished Like cleaning and re-organizing my room. I was really productive up until my mom had her surgery and then I didn't get anything else done after that
I'm so happy for you, and I sure hope it works out for you to go - especially when you can overlap Meg by a day and get together with her down there for a ride or two.
It is always nice to have a day to recuperate after a trip. We don't always do that, and it's rough to go straight back to work.
I will be doing some cleaning around here today, but right now I am enjoying not having to get up and get ready for school.
So I've decided (more like I've been in busy/in denial) that I miss you guys and I'm going to attempt to do better to keep up with this TR. I don't know that I'll attempt to go back and read the entire thing, but jumping on here is better than nothing, right?
Poor Stitch.
I meant to quote it but I couldn't remember which one it was....the picture with Bella on Dumbo was super cute!
Life keeps us busy, but we're always glad to have old friends and new join in when they can. Some people drift away and leave us forever, and we do miss them and wonder what happened to make them not want to come around.
Have a great week with your family!
It's never too early for Christmas. It's the most wonderful time of the year, so why not stretch it out! I love all the Disney Christmas pictures. I'd love to go to every resort at Christmas and just stroll around looking at the decorations. They each have their own unique style and I like them all. And Disney has the best ornaments, don't they? They are so big!
Thanks for spreading some Christmas cheer. Keep it coming.
I like to resort hop, as you know, but especially so at Christmas. I want to get to as many resorts as possible during our December stay.
I'm with Rinky, it's never too early for Christmas! I love seeing any and all of the photos. I am so sad this year to not be going back this year. We get out on the 20th of Dec. next year so I already put a bug in John's ear about going. We'll see how that pans out!
I know you are glad to be done today! We still have to go tomorrow but it is an early release day. We still serve lunch so I looked up today what time we have to go- 10:05!! I think instead of my sandwich I will take some pancakes!
Enjoy your days off!!
I'm just hitting random albums and picking out the Christmas pictures, so it will be a mix of resorts and parks. I'll try to do them every few days.
Pancakes sound good. Maybe that's what I will have this morning, since I have time to make them. Which shall I have- blueberry or chocolate chip???
Love the Disney Christmas pictures! This is my absolute favorite time of year. The preschool closes at 2 instead of 5:30 tomorrow, so I am there till they close and then closing my store. And since the preschool is in a high school, the kids have been following the school's "spirit week" for the annual Thanksgiving day football game. Yesterday was pajama day, today was "wacky tacky" day, and tomorrow is spirit day, so we're taking the kids around the high school to see it all decorated for the game. What's funny is that the high school I work at is actually MY old high school's rival! The Thanksgiving game is always this high school versus my old high school. I'm very excited for the holiday!
I was just telling my student teacher this yesterday - October, November, and December are the fun months in an elementary school. When we come back in January, the looong boring part begins. January, February, and March are miserable. We are saved by an occasional snow day to break up the stretch, but when spring break finally gets here, teachers are running out the doors!
Enjoy your break this weekend!
