Milwaukee Area Disney Store

Just wanted to let Milwaukee area DISers know that the Disney Store at Brookfield Square is closing! I didn't see any different sales there yesterday but the sign said they were closing on or before March 26. I don't know if they just ship the merchandise elsewhere or they will have deep cuts when it gets closer to the actual closing at the end of the week but thought I'd let you know.

So sad! Do you know if the one at Mayfair is still open? I have to get some Disney dollars.

can you please tell me what locations in Wisconsin are still open and will be open through summer? i live in Sheboygan so i will have a long commute to any of the stores that are still open ( not many i have heard???)

if you have phone numbers that would great too-

is there ANY other way to get disney dollars besides going to the store? if i dont have to drive 1 or 2 hours that would be great....all i neeed to purchase are disney dollars...... and i think i better get moving on it since the stores are all closing

Hi to you both! In answer to the first question - the one at Mayfair is in fact still open - it was remodeled about a year or two ago and is very nice. It's upstairs now right next to the movie theater.

In answer to the second question - there is a Disney Store at Mayfair Mall and one at Southridge Mall in Greenfield WI. There used to be one in Appleton but I'm fairly certain it was closed the last time I was there. Those are the only two that I'm certain about in my area.

If I hear either of these are closing I'll post again.

As far as I know the East Towne (Madison) Disney Store is remaining open, although I haven't called to check. They are always so busy, especially after the West Towne store closed.

There are just the 3 stores in Wisconsin. Madison, Southridge and Mayfair. Brookfield will not be having a clearance sale, just shipping out their merchandise to other stores.

I heard that Brookfield Square raised the rent so high that a few other stores there are closing up shop too. Sad!!

at the Brookfield Square store on Sun (3-21) and they are closing the 23rd
The CM said the lease was up and they raised the rent even though the store was busy!!

Southridge and Mayfair are still doing good.

So thats at least good news!!!

When we walked in the store and I sawa the sign I was afraid that this was the start of all the stores closing!

Still we had 5 at one time (Northridge had one)

now we lost 2

Madison told me at one time that they were one of the busiest and 'best' stores. So hopefully it will remain!

I worked as a Seasonal CM at the Mayfair store - it was a great job. The Manager from Brookfield moved over to Mayfair when their store closed. He's a nice guy.

It's a bummer to see the stores close.

hi fellow CM I used to work at the Southridge store the first CHristmas they were there!!

They wanted me to stay on afterwards but the hours would be 2-6 and I couldn't work that around my full time job



It sure was fun while it lasted!!!
