Milosevic Dead in Prison Cell

He was found dead yesterday.

Would you rather his trial have been finished, or is this enough closure for his victims?

Does it bother you that it might not have been natural causes? Do you think they should spend any time trying to find out?

He had a history of heart disease and asked to be sent to Russia for treatment. I think his family will therefore say he would be alive today if his wishes to go to Russia had been granted. His trial has gone on for four years. It could have gone on for four decades and I doubt that he would have ever accepted responsibility for his war crimes. Its hard to deny the culpability of someone who so openly practiced "ethnic cleansing" unless one is as deluded as the perpetrator. I don't think therefore that his victims will ever 'reach closure' if what they expected was tears and sorrow from this man. He was incapable. I think its unfortunate that he wasn't executed but on the other hand, I think his lawyers had an incentive to carry out this trial ad nauseum and he would have died of natural causes anyway, long before its abrupt four year end.

Yeah what Dawn said! I agree 100 percent. He was a vile horrible human being in league IMHO with Hitler, Hussein, Bin Laden, Kubla Khan, and others. I don't care that he is dead as long as the victims can now go on with their lives.

Breathe hard old man and enjoy hell! Sounds viscious, but this man was such a manipulative, despicable being.

The only sad about the trial not ending is that the Serbian people have yet to fully acknowledge what happened in their name. I'm not sure if the trial would have accomplished this, but hopefully the claims of "vicitimization" among Serbs will go with him. We can hope.
