Milk?

The Values normally have half-pints and possibly flavored pints in the food court, but usually have half- or full gallons in the gift shop. I think Pop may have them all in the food court now?? At any rate, between the food court and the gift shop, there should be a range of sizes. I forget the cost, but expect it to be above your local grocery store by a dollar or more for the half-gallon......

We got milks with our snack or as a drink on the meal plans from the cafeteria part of ASMo. Hubby bought a half gallon of milk in the gift shop and it was 3-something. (I can't find the the envelope that I stuck all of our reciepts into right now.)

Sodas, water and juice (regular 20oz.-ish sizes) were in the $2.35 to $2.50 range. All the vending machines had soda and water as $2.50 a bottle.

You could purchase a travel coffee size refillable mug at the cafeteria for $11.00 (they did not have any of the huge mugs, only the kinds that people use to take their coffee to and from work). But it can only be used on the soda fountain island. No milk there.

We ended up going to WalMart the first day and purchasing water, juice and soda there and some cheap styrofoam coolers (two of them because they were small) and then iced down our own drinks for way less than paying out of pocket. We did not purchase milk from WM as we had not gotten our room yet and did not know how long we would have to wait and didn't want the milk to spoil. There are ice machines on each floor of each building and the check in people told us to use them for filler our coolers, etc.

If you have a room ready and can get off site I would recommend going to Target or WM to buy your milk & other things as they seem to be the lowest cost. Then you can just ice them in the cooler. Be sure to get one or bring one.

Check-in told us the refrigerators that they have for $10 a day are quite small. Not even the size of a dorm room one. More like a table top refrigerator that is only about a foot or so high. They told us the ice bucket in our room was quite large and we could put our drinks in there. I had to laugh when I saw them. It was a tight fit for just two 20oz. bottles and about half the bottle was up over the edge. Lol. Thank goodness I had listened to my inner voice and picked up the coolers. Although I wish in hindsight that I had just bought a regular cooler as the styrofoam ones were quite wobbly when you tried to lift them to dump out the water and refill them with ice. But hubby would have complained that we had yet another cooler to add to our collection because, once again, we forgot to take one along with us on a trip. :)
