Military Tickets?

Hope they do extend this. The Armed Forces Salute program has been around for years, under different names. People have been mentioning 3-day park hoppers, though. Last November they were 4-day hoppers, and a couple years before, 5-day hoppers.
My next trip is Thanksgiving, so I hope they announce soon.

I believe that the 4 and 5 day hoppers were for WDW. I think in the last 3 years, the only option at DL was for 3 day hoppers. -- Suzanne

Actually, there is no 10 or 14 day restriction, the only requirements are that they expire September 30 and are blocked on July 4.

We are using ours Wednesday - Friday this week, and my SIL is joining us for Thursday and Friday. She is local, so she will be able to use her 3rd park day any time before September 30.

Good to know!:thumbsup2

Yep - we went to DLR in 2010 and 11 using the Armed Forces Salute tickets, and they were 3 day park hoppers. AFS tickets for WDW were 5 day PHers when they first started the program (back then the MM's ticket was free too) - but as the program has continued the rules have changed.

One thing to keep in mind though, is that last weekend when I was there, I had to show my military ID each day we went in.

Did your group all have to enter with you at the same time?

the first time you go in you have to activate the tix...if your entire group goes in at different times then the military id holder has to go in with each group thats broken up....its probably easier if everyone goes in together im sure but as long as the id holder is ok with breaking it up then np...once they have been activated then you dont have to go in together the remainder of the days

did you have the 3 day park hopper pass??? if so they shouldnt have made you do that...only to activate it...that is the policy..now whether or not the CM followed that or went on their own and did what they wanted to do is a different story

I am going in October with the military 3 day hopper- the price increased to $125, but still a great deal! I was wondering if it's possible to add a day to this ticket? I'd love 4 days and would pay more, but wondering if I'd lose the huge discount? Has anyone ever added a day to these tickets?

You would lose the discount. If you want 4 days it would be better to buy regular 4 day military discount tickets. I think the price is around $180 something. if you buy the salute you 'll pay $125 for salute plus $125 for regular price park hopper.
