For the past couple of years Sea World has been offering the Hero Salute tickets Where the service member plus up to three direct dependents get in free. The offer that they have now runs out at the end of the month. Has anyone heard if they are going to offer this again in 2011?

TIA for your help!

YES! I had to call Sea World yesterday to ask them a question about ordering something and asked the operator about the Hero Salute and she confirmed that the program IS extended through 2011.

Each active duty military member will receive free admission for themselves plus up to 3 dependents for any one of the participating parks in 2011. :thumbsup2 All dependents must have valid military IDs.

I don't see the website updated yet so if you have any questions feel free to call Sea World. The operators have all of the information.

They are definately doing this for 2011, DH has already looked into it. I love that SW/Busch Gardens do this.

Are there any discounts for retirees? (not veterans but retirees)

I was wondering the same thing because we are going next month. I called and the free admission for the active duty person and three dependents does not extend to retirees. There is a 10% discount at the gate however. Check Shades of Green's web site and see if they have them cheaper.

You might want to check Southwest they give 20% discount. And you can also check when you arrive for the second day free.

It seems that the last time I was in Costco I saw a Busch Gardens/Seaworld ticket packet but really didn't look at it. I will pay attention to it when I go back.

One day at Seaworld is enough for me. I like it, but not enough to go two days on a vacation.

Wow. If they do offer 2nd day free when you visit, you don't have to ask for it.

I think the best deal right now is the Southwest 20%, but good luck at Costco.
