Military ticket help!!!

My sister is planning to come on our next trip with us and she isn't sure how her military ID/ticket discount works. Can you help???

Can she buy tickets for herself and my family? She WILL be with for at least the first day in the parks. Which leads me to the next point.

If she can only come for one day, can my family still use the tickets without her?

And she's not sure how the pricing works. She said she's found out two different prices and the difference is kinda big! She said she's heard of a three day hopper for about $145 but then also a 2 day pass for $186? Why the big price change?

We are planning on going June 6-8 so I don't know if it has something to do with the dates???

I'm totally unfamiliar with the whole military thing! And she's never used her military ID at Disneyland.

Look closely about the middle of the page and you'll see this information
*Tickets expire and may not be used after December 19, 2016. Each day of use constitutes one full day of use.
Valid military identification will be required for purchase and use.

I have never used this type of ticket.
But I have read threads here, where it has been noted Military ID was required the first entry of each day everyone's tickets were used.

Since your sister will only be with you the one day, you might want to call Disney for clarification.

Hi! The salute tickets are 3 day hoppers and the current pricing is $143 per person. You sister is allowed to purchase 6 in a calendar year. I have never heard of the 2 day ticket (might be a WDW thing?). I've used the salute tickets myself and was ID'd the first day and after that I don't remember being asked for my military ID again. The salute tickets can be purchased beforehand at her base MWR office or at the ticket booth at Disneyland. If you are staying onsite you can buy the tickets at the front desk as well.

The salute tickets do not have a Magic Morning.

The different prices are two different types of tickets. There's the military Salute tickets (3-day park hoppers w/o magic morning). Salute tickets are in the $140 range. There is a limit that they may buy (6 per fiscal promotion year). They must be there for the first use. We've been carded nearly every day we have used them, though we were told that they are only supposed to check ID the first use, or until w picture is attached to the ticket.

The other tickets are regular tickets with a modest discount (usually a few dollars). These are for those silly people who have used up their Salute tickets, or don't think about using 2 Salutes for a longer trip, or have too many people to use double Salute tickets. I don't believe you need the military ID to use these, other than to purchase.
