I saw a few different places that "there may be" a significant ticket discount for the military. It say that the possible discount is "$138 for a 4 day park hopper", if it is true, would you be able to add another day to it?

The ticket special has been pulled for right now. In the past you could not add any days to these types of tickets, and when they release these new ones you will not be able to add days per my conversation with a phone CM.

For the last two years the Armed Forces Salute Tickets were not able to be modified by adding days or No Expire. The only thngs that could be done were to add hopping and/or WPF&M, or upgrade to any allowable level of Annual Pass.

If there is a new AFST there is no reason to think the rules would change.

Tickets officially went on sale this morning, call Shades of Green for the details. Its the $138 for Park Hoppers. Its not possible to add days to them. You can buy up to 5 with your military or dependant ID.

I have posted some official information in TPA&S, Budget and Community Board Forums. As soon as I get a bit more detail I will update the Everything About WDW Tickets locked sticky in TPA&S.

My question is this...can a family of three get 6 tickets and use them throughout an 8 day trip? Or use three one month and go back and use the other thee a couple months later before October 2011?

Yes.

Note that the Everything About WDW Tickets locked sticky in TPA&S has been updated. For full detailed information go to Post #17. You can get directly to the sticky by clicking on the link in my signature.

A lady I work with is looking forward to her familys 1st WDW trip next year. She is expecting lots of "perks" because of her husbands National Guard service. I told her about the discounted tickets but she is insisting they will get front of the line priviledges and other advantages. Anyone know what she is talking about? I would hate for her to get her family all excited for something that's not going to happen - then they will talk about how horrible their trip was!

I have been a military spouse for 22 years and have never heard of front of the line priviledges! If her husband is home for his R&R and they are at WDW there are other advantages that Shades of Greens offer, but there has never been front of the line priviledges.

There is no such animal! And to the best of my knowledge never has been!

And if he is NG he has to have a currently valid ID card to be able to get the tickets (or she has to have a currently valid DD1173 showing her as the spouse).

Thank you for your responses. Just wanted to make sure I was telling her right!

Quick question about this Disney’s Armed Forces Salute ticket! We're using these tickets for our 1st trip to DW in Sept. We'll have our 5 & 2 year old boys with us and were wondering if we have to use the 4 days consecutive. We thought it might be nice to split it up and do a park one day and then pools the next and then a park one day and DTD the next, and so on. Plus we're doing the Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party and didn't want to use a full park day ticket on that day!
TIA!

You can split them up, you don't have to use them consecutively at all. Enjoy your day by the pool. The Halloween Party is AMAZING!

Thank you! I couldn't seem to find that answer anywhere!! We're super excited!!

Is there 2 different promotions going. I know the 138 for 4 day PH. I was reading mouse savers and read about one for 99 dollar 3day PH, but you had to buy them on base. We do not live by a base. Closest one is 100 miles. If the 99 tickets exist, can you buy them at SOG, and not on a base?

You can go back to page 1 and see Cheshire Figment's post about how he updated all the info and you just click on his signature and it will tell you.

My boyfriend and I are planning on going to WDW in March but have some questions. We are both currently in school and he's in the Air Force. He's an active reservist until 3/3 and then will become inactive for the rest of the year after that. Will we be able to take advantage of the $138 4 day hopper ticket if we go mid-March? I've been reading the threads and it says that the tickets are available to Reservists but no mention of an active or inactive one. Or do we need to buy the tickets when he's an active reservist (as in before 3/3) and then just activate it when we get there?

As long as he has a valid military ID he can buy these tickets, doesn't matter if he is active or inactive. He can buy them on the AF base or at Shades of Green at Disney. Keep in mind that if you buy them on the base you may need to order 3 weeks out as a lot of bases don't have the tickets on hand and they have to send away for them.
