This vent is really about my sister and brother-in-law. They were just here from Seattle for a 10 day visit. My sister wanted to go to Disneyland and her husband hadn't been in 30 years so I was excited for him to see all the changes. I booked us a room at DLH and two ECV's. My sister is in a wheel chair and unable to walk. My brother-in-law can walk but very slowly and not very far due to bad knees and bad back (years of being a long haul truck driver). I booked ressies at Blue Bayou and off we went.
Our first stop was the hotel to check in and get their EVC's. This went very smoothly. We headed over to CA. Even with the EVC's they went slow, looking at everything. I told myself to be patient, it's not all about the rides, they want to look at everything. I had bought 2 day park hoppers. That ended up being quite a waste of money.
We went to CA about 11:30. They wanted to eat right away. I talked them into at least waiting till we did Soarin'. We waited 35 minutes, not too long. I got fastpasses so we could go again without waiting. They loved it, so I said "do you want to do it again", "nah", they said, let's eat. So we ate. After that we went to Grizzly run. My brother-in-law went on that and we both got soaked. It was fun. Well that was pretty much the end of the fun. We headed to Carsland, they loved looking at stuff but no desire to ride RSR which was something I really wanted to do. I felt the line was too long for me to ask them to wait for me to ride it.They had no interest. Okaaay. We headed to Bugsland because my sister wanted to see Bugslife. They enjoyed that, then they were done!!!!! They were done! I bit my tongue and wondered why I bought park hoppers.
So we went back to the hotel where we rested. I made reservations for Rainforest Cafe because they thought it looked like fun. Actually our dinner and service was great. The service was quick, we got in right away and our waitress was always right there. We went back to the hotel and I planned to go swimming, my sister noticed she didn't pack her insulin syringes. So we spent an hour talking to various people but no one had any. Or if they did they weren't giving us one. The hotel sent me to CVS who also would not sell me one. CVS sent me to Walgreen's who did. By the time I got back to the hotel it was almost 9:00 and my brother-in-law was in bed.
I ordered room service for breakfast so we could get an early start. They are morning people anyway. That went fine. Room service has always been great there and on time. We ate and headed out to DL. It was pretty crowded from the start but they wanted to go on smallworld which never (almost never) has a line. We did that, we did pirates, we did Buzzlightyear, and that was it for rides.
I had made ressies at Blue Bayou and it was a very nice lunch. We headed our about 1:30 and went to Downtown Disney to shop. We headed home (San Diego) at 3:00. I can't tell you, or need to tell you how much this little 2 day adventure cost me as I paid for everything. My sister and brother-in-law have no idea I was disappointed. Mostly because I didn't want to spend the whole time eating and shopping. We could do that here in San Diego. I should have just got a one day ticket and spent the first day eating and shopping and the next day at Disney. So now I'm broke and I still didn't get to ride RSR. Oh well.

It was frustrating, but we have annual passes so I was not at a loss financially.
