Gee there's a surprise.

Back to the horses he goes.

I guess then we can expect the resignations of Mayor Nagin, Gov. Blank-O and Sen. Mary Landreau because their performance made Brown look like a star!

Here it is...

Updated: 3:04 p.m. ET Sept. 12, 2005

WASHINGTON - Federal Emergency Management Agency Director Mike Brown said Monday he has resigned “in the best interest of the agency and best interest of the president,” three days after losing his on-site command of the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.

“The focus has got to be on FEMA, what the people are trying to do down there,” Brown told The Associated Press.

CBS had a special report too. Wonder if he was forced to resign. My guess would be yes.

I bet it was as I like to call it here at work...he was resigned.

Jennifer,

I think that's a save bet. "Jump or be pushed." Well, we've had the first "show firing."

Forced...for sure...and too bad, as President Bush's "Brownie...you're doing a heck of a job..." comment seemed to infer that the President appreciated his fantasic work!

Just because they were more incompetent than him doesn't make him competent.

Here's Landrieu showing her faith in the city employees of N.O. and all cities of the US:

Sen. Mary Landrieu's Quote to Chris Wallace on Sunday, 09/11/2005:

"Mayor Nagin and most mayors in this country have a hard time getting their people to work on a sunny day, let alone getting them out of the city in front of a hurricane."
Nice attitude... I don't recall seeing that problem in N.Y. on 9/11/2001...

But it's Bush's fault...

That's true; I was merely highlighting the level of their incompetence. If the incompetent are leaving, they should however, join him.

I don't know if they're more incompetent, but he certainly is incompetent. The shame of all of this is the fact that anyone in my area could've given the country an earful about the incompetence of FEMA.

I saw that yesterday on Chris Wallace's show. Unbelievably, she blamed the lack of transportation on Ronald Reagan! She repeated that the school busses were under water but wouldn't address why they weren't used prior to the flood. If you had an opportunity to see her face at the end of the show,...well it was priceless. She looked angry and flushed.

If the incompetent are leaving...give me a minute...I've got a laundry list and it starts from the top on down!!

LOL. You can't make this stuff up.

You weren't "highlighting", you were trying to shift blame away from the one who hired Brown.

Do you have a link to how many people called in sick in NYC on 9/11/2001? Just asking.

You mean like paying for wealthy people's generators? You mean like still owing cities and counties massive amounts of money? You mean like taking forever to get the FEMA trailers here? The ones that were so great last year were the American Red Cross and other volunteer agencies. Heck the Army Corps of Engineers Operation Blue Roof people were AWESOME. FEMA, ahh not so good.
