Mike Brady: Architect

I wonder what happened at the wedding that made Carol's parents not want to ever come visit the Bradys. Everyone seemed so happy at the wedding and then you never saw Grandma and Grandpa (or Fluffy) again. Were they that upset that the dog chased the cat and ruined the wedding cake at the reception that they totally wrote off Carol and Mike?

Where were the other parents? The girls dad and the boys mom? They instantly called the step-parents mom and dad and they never went to visit the others. Was there ever any mention of them?

I suppose that house was more than good enough before Carol and the girls moved in. He must have built that house for just his wife, 3 boys, Alice and himself.:goodvibes

Loved seeing a very young Rita Wilson as a cheerleader! One, two, tell me who are you? The Bears!

In the first episode, it was mentioned that Mike was a widower and Carol was a widow.

Can't remember hearing about the dad, but there was the reference to the mom from Bobby during the stepmother episode (I believe he put a picture of her in a drawer)

I'll fess up. This thread made me go to Google Images and look up the Brady's floor plan. Is there anything that can't be found online??

I did this too! :lmao:

I think it would have also been fun to label more things in and around the house...like the tree where the locket was stuck in (outside the girl's bedroom mirror), the vase that the boys broke, the payphone in the family room, Carol's cup of coffee and saucer that was ever-present in the living room, etc.

I think they both died. Divorce probably would have been too scandalous at the time:lmao:

Bringing Oliver into the mix was the jump the shark moment for the BB.

9 times out of 10 when they bring a new character in like that, it pretty much means the series is definitely on the ending cycle. I honestly don't even remember much about cousin Oliver other than what he looked like. I couldn't tell you a single episode/plot line with him. I don't even know how he ended up showing up.

Did anyone bother to look under the synthetic lawn for bodies?
or Tigers doghouse for that matter.

I remember one about orange rabbits,

and another when Oliver thought he was bad luck. (This one involved pie in faces.)

Wasn't it Oliver that accidentally locked them in the jail cell and then eventually set them free? Only they didn't know he was the one that caused it?
Man, I am reaching faaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr back in my brain for that one!

Wasn't Oliver kind of clumsy and made a mess with everything he did?

I had forgotten that both spouses had died. Yep, divorce would have been scandolous!! LOL

But Cousin Oliver grew up and played in an awesome band in the FLIP SIDE!!

No, it was that old prospector who lived in the ghost town who locked them in jail. They got themselves free by ties together all their belts, scarves, etc.

Scandal?? What about the scandal of Carol Brady changing her daughters' last names to "Brady" after her spouse died. Oh snap..no she didn't! :sad2: She erased his memory with a scrub brush.

I wonder if Mike was hooking up with Alice a la Arnold Schwarzenegger and his maid!?! I wonder if there's some Brady love child we don't know about out there?

"Cousin" Oliver? hmmmm.....:scratchin

"cousin" Oliver perhaps...:scratchin

dang...you beat me too it...

Seriously doubt that the kids Jack & Jill bathroom was the only bathroom in the house. Parents needed one & their room was also on the second floor. Sure Alice had one with her room on the first floor.

Bathroom humor wasn't part of the 1970s sitcoms so it wasn't important to show more than one.
