will it be busy or slow (from your experience?) Just dh and I...do we need to think about FOTL passes? We'll definitely be arriving at the gate before they open, will skip all water rides and eat on the go. Any advice or will it be a piece of cake? Thanks!

From my past experience..it should be slow. Most of the crowds will be gone after New Year's Day and the middle of January typically isn't very busy. I wouldn't fool with purchasing the Express Passes.

Thanks! That's what we were hoping for!

a few more questions...

Do you always recommend to do IOA first? We will arrive before park opening and plan to spend all day at the two parks. I don't think we'll be doing any water rides. IN what order should we do things? Also, keep in mind that we have kids who won't go to the big roller coasters (Dueling Dragons is definitely out! haha!) Thanks!

Piece of cake. You do IOA first for front seat rides on the coasters. I know you said the kids won't do them, but you could go ride while the spouse and kids watch. If you are at the gate when the park opens, you can walk on to Hulk and get a front seat ride. Then all of you can walk on to Spiderman. Then the kids can watch you ride Dr. Doom. They'll probably be scared of that one too.

From there you high tail it back to Deuling Dragons. The spouse and kids can do the talking fountain while you ride.

when you say middle of january, are you talking about marting luther king day weekend? i would guess that saturday will be significantly more crowded than others in jan because its a three day weekend for schools. still may be slow but i would say the busiest weekend in January. just an educated guess, anyone know for sure?

Nope, that's this weekend, isn't it? We're planning to be at US on the 20th. We're counting the days!!!!!!

When you get back, let us know how the weekend of the 20th was - we'll be arriving on the 27th for the weekend!!
