I excited by the concept. If I can get a camera with decent control over DOF and reasonable low light ability in a much smaller form factor, I'm definitely interested. I also think that it is merely a question of time before we see EVF replace traditional pentaprisms. They aren't close yet, but someday they will be. Then we'll have realtime DOF preview, histogram, magnification, peaking, zebra strips, and all kinds of cool stuff in the viewfinder instead of on an LCD screen.

The main argument is that digital is not film. Light has to fall on digitial sensors just right, hence, we can't have bodies like film. Even within digital, sensors differ. I know my Foveon needs more room so that light hits the sensor straight on.... more room than 4/3.... and 4/3 and Canon etc, need more room than film ever did.

I'm not positive this is what you meant, but here's what Olympus has to say about their "designed for digital" lenses:

Thanks Pea-nMe. I'll find the treh details. I know about the lenses, but regard that more of a "since you only use the sweet spot, we can cheap out on Digital lenses, versus FF ones."

I'm sure there's more too it than that, but that's one reason why they can be smaller.

Ouch, my wife picked out the red one by choice. We later found out that the black neck portion one was a little longer so I let her "try" the black one and now I'm using the shorter red one. And here I thought the red wasn't too bad. Guess I better look too proud of it in your neck of the doors.

Speaking of that, I still haven't found a solution to getting it longer. Op/Tech shows longer versions of the loops that attach to your camera on their site, but nowhere sells them. I checked JoAnns (big craft store in case you don't know), they had quick-releases but not the right size. I just can't believe that no one sells a simple basic extender.
