Mickeystoontown's Cheers to 40 years! 18 days, 10 park days, 2 parties and a lot of fun! Updated 10/14

The dis was giving me fits when I was posting the latest updates and they look whackadoo. I'm going to move on though because I need to get some updates posted 'cause we leave for Disney in just 29 days!!!

The backside of Cinderella isn't as beautiful as the front but it's still very pretty:

And then we walked back through the castle so I could take this picture looking towards Main Street USA

Pictures taken, we started towards the front of the park where I had to take yet another picture of this beauty:

And more of Main Street USA:

If you have never seen Walt Disney World in its Christmas finery, you need to go! I'd gorgeous and these pictures are crappy compared to the real thing.

I don't remember the wait for the bus to be long so I am guessing it wasn't. We were back at the resort and when we opened the door, we saw that the mousekeeper had used my ears to make a cute decoration on the beds:

Are you ready? Yeti, I am (what a dumb title)

Wanna see our lineup for the day?

I'll go ahead and tell you now that we canceled Yak & Yeti at some point during the day. I am so glad Disney changed their cancellation time period requirement. Sometimes, you just aren't feeling it and want to make a change or cancel. We weren't feeling it. So, I canceled.

Fresh and ready for the day...lopsided Mickey ears and all. I had no clue that I had them on crooked. Those are my snowcapped Expedition Everest themed ears. We both had on Expedition Everest/Yeti shirts today.

See our buttons? Well, see John's button ('cause you can't see mine in the picture). I ordered them from Etsy and they were super cute. I was able to personalize them and they had our 40th anniversary on them.

We were at the park in what seemed like no time and we were looking at their Christmas tree:

John and I hardly ever eat breakfast but the year before, we had a biscuit at one of the counter service windows in Africa and it was one of the best biscuits. I mean so good we talked about it for days. This time, they didn't have the biscuits so we ordered a croissant with scrambled eggs and tomato chutney. It came with tater tots on the side. Not as good as the biscuit but it was pretty darn good.

It was almost time to use our Lightning Lane for Festival of the Lion King so we threw away our trash, use sanitizer on our hands and started towards the theater. We were invited in immediately and we walked a long way towards the entrances before we stopped. I had never noticed these cute creations.

Once we scanned our bands, we were eligible for another Lightning Lane pass and, since we were stopped in line anyway, I opened the app and found another one for later in the day. I chose Its Tough to be a Bug.

Soon after, we were moving forward and seated in the Elephant section of the theater. The show is always so good!

I have a few others but they aren't that great so I'll end this post here.

**Up next: Why?

Why?

We were both going to make a stop at the restroom that's not far from Festival of the Lion King but it was packed! We figured we would use the one in Pandora instead. We were walking along and saw this person:

IMG_7378.JPEG

Why? I mean, I get that you are at Animal Kingdom but who the heck wants to walk around all day with a big ol' Tigger head on? We saw them later in the day and they still had it on! Why?

Up next: Rollin', rollin', rollin' on the Navi River!
