Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2005

We tried something similar last year and ran into a brick wall. There were five of us total, and my mother-in-law wanted a pic with all of us in it (herself, her husband, two children and me). My then fiance' and I wanted one of just the two of us (as we were getting married the next day). We asked if this could be done and they said "a person cannot be in more than one photo." It was late and we were all too tired to argue, so we split up, three in one, two in another. I suggest if you want to do this, hit different photo stations, just in case. I didn't see what the big deal was since the pics were going to different addresses, but oh well.
Since they had to take two different pictures anyway, I don't get the big deal about anybody being in more than one picture. Anyway, thanks for the tip. I think if we decide that we'd like to have different pix, we'll just go to two different photo stations, but it's good to know this ahead of time. It will probably be quicker than arguing about it on the spot.

Hi everyone...I am really new to this, so bear with me.
We bought our tickets to MVMCP and would like to make PS arrangements at LTT for the same night. Does it cost money to reserve for those special seatings? Thanks and hope to see you all there!! Dec 1! :wave2: :Pinkbounc

No it does not cost money for those seatings :)

hi all-
i just ordered my ticket for December 1 with the passholder discount..how much did you guys pay with the discount?
by the way it will just be me, no one in my family wants to go, so if anyone is planning a meet closer, id love to go :)

I have really tried to read through all 900+ posts about MVMCP, but I just don't have the stamina, so I am going to ask my two questions and hope that they have not been asked, and answered, a dozen times already. ;)

So, here are my two questions about MVMCP during "Value Season" ("VS"):

1. What is the party like? I assume Disney calls this time "VS" because of the light crowds, so are the crowds light during the party?

2. I read that there are usually two parades; are there during the "VS"?

For reference, I am planning to attend Thursday 12/15.

Anything you can tell me, I'd really appreciate it!

Have a magical day. :wizard:

I am so confused.... :confused3

first, I heard the only way to see Disney's Christmas Parade during the early part of December is via the MVMCP. But then, I heard the filming of the "Christmas Parade" to be shown on Christmas Day is actually taped early in the month, typically the 1st weekend in Dec. So obviously it is shown sometimes during the day and NOT just at MVMCP in the early part of the month.

When will they know they'll be taping? Obviously it's weather dependent...but there are celebs involved too so they have to have some idea. I BELIEVE this is something I'd prefer to avoid (high crowds) so I'm just wondering how you find out when it's being filmed and when it historically has been filmed.

Thank you.

The ABC Disney Christmas parade hosted by Regis and Kelly is taped the 1st Sat of December (Dec 3 this year) if weather permits.

OK, so on that Sat one would have an oppty to see the Christmas parade that otherwise is only viewable at the MVMCP in the evenings until later in the month. Is that true? (weather depending)

I would imagine you're correct. But many of those who have seen the filmed parade say it's not very exciting because they film each float individually, stop, back it up, etc, etc.... a 30 minute parade takes hours.

:Pinkbounc I just made PS arrangments for LTT at 5:20pm the night we go to MVMCP! They still have lots of early timeslots for those of you wanting to make seating arrangements on Dec 1...I just wanted to say that I have never had a problem with any CM on the phone or in-person...They are always so friendly and helpful. They deserve so much credit for their patience! They are truly what makes Disney World and Disneyland such magical experiences.
I also booked my flight today, too, so I am really, really excited!

I totally agree. I posted about watching the parade and got mostly "no's" because it is long and BORING! We're skipping MK that day and doing either Epcot or MGM.

I don't know if you will be able to do this because they put a mark on the back of our tickets to show we had already had the photo taken so if you go to a different spot then they will see that mark and not let you get another set done.

Well, this is both interesting and annoying. I called to make reservations for 5:20 on the 1st. I was told there weren't any reservations available! I called on Saturday, I believe.

I thought I read somewhere that they sell special sweatshirts and tshirts at MVMCP. I read that you can only buy them that night. Does anyone know if this is true? If so are they expensive? And what shop sells them?
TIA,
Kimba

That is annoying! I don't know what happened. Maybe they opened more slots for dinner :confused3 ...but she told me that they had 5-7pm pretty much open. I told her 5:20pm and she said ok...Maybe you can call again and talk to a different CM... :flower:

This may have already been asked, but are there other restaurants that serve dinner prior to MVMCP? I know we can already make PS for LTT or Tony's, but what about Cinderella's Royal Table or Crystal Palace? Will they open for PS at 90 days? We absolutely LOVE LTT, but DH wants to try someplace different, and to be honest, I wasn't too thrilled with Tony's menu on allearsnet.

I ordered my AP, my MVMCP tix for 12/8 and made LTT PS for 5:45! :bounce: What an awesome way to end my day!!! Now I just have to wait for the tix to arrive.
THEY CAME!!! :Pinkbounc
I am sooo excited! My MVMCP tix did have the correct date.
Now I have a question....My PS for LTT is at 5:45. It will just be my best friend and I. It shouldn't take us more than an hour to eat. Will there be something special they do at the very beginning of the party to kick it off that we want to make sure and be there for? If so, should I move my PS earlier or are we good to go?
