Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2005

How do you know when they're available over the phone?

By checking here frequently or call Disney. Last year they went on sale May 1 and we all knew a few days before they went on sale that they were going on sale.

This has been great info! I had never thought about a Christmas trip to WDW until just this week. Since we're staying 14 days this summer, I got an AP this year and figured we'd make another trip for 2006 Spring Break. Well I got a great discount that more than cut my existing airfare in half this week and now have a nice credit to use toward another set of tickets - figured I'd use them for Spring Break trip. Then I saw the small print that I have to use them prior to 1-25-06. AND THEN IT HIT ME - Let's go just before Christmas! This will be a surprise trip/birthday gift for my daughter who gets out of school on the 16th - so we'll have a whole week before it starts getting crowded (unlike Spring Break) and it's value season (unlike Spring Break) and we get to do MVMCP! I'm so excited I can't stand it!!!!! :Pinkbounc

Just wondering about the 2005 dates. The Disney World web site says they haven't been released yet, but I see them on this web site. Just wondering if they are "for sure" dates. I'm trying to plan a cruise around it, and I'd like to be sure of the dates. Thanks.

The DIS would not post them if they were certain of the dates. They have contacts at Disney. Anyway, the dates are pretty much the same nights from year to year so I really think you'll be safe using those dates to plan.

For you repeat DIS. Hello was wondering are the shows the same each year? Went 2004 planning on 2006, but was wondering 2005 Thanks

Okay-opinions please. We are doing the 7 day magic on Dec.17. I want to do MVMCP on the 16th. Here's my question:
My youngest (dd5) has never been to Disneyworld and I want to do the Magic Kingdom while she is still this age. Would it be a waste of money to go to the park all day and then the party that night? (We would schedule some rest in the late afternoon) Or would the party be enough time for her to really experience MK? I really want to do both but I don't think DH will want to spend that much on top of the cruise. What would you do?

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that we went to MVMCP this past November, and although the ticket listed a 7:00pm start time, we arrived at Magic Kingdom at 4:00pm and they let us in with wristbands/MVMCP ticket only (didn't have to buy regular park admission tickets to get in early). We went in and rode several rides, then went to dinner PS at Tony's. It was a nice way to see a bit in daylight hours, without paying for an additional day. Hope this helps!

Just curious - do they sell out quickly? I may not be able to call right on May 1st (although if I start saving now....).

We will be doing Tues Nov 29th. Maybe the weekends will sell out first? I just want to make sure because I already told DS4 about it and don't want to disappoint him if they sell out. :scared:

Thanks!!! :jumping1:

P.S. Cool new smileys!

Hi eNGLAND family

My advice would be
1. Plan ahead. Read about what you can on this site and some of the tips on the WDW site itself.
2. Buy a guide book. Check out Amazon as you will be able to see the reviews before you buy.
3. Pack some warm clothes as last December when we were there it was really cold. Fleeces, hats and gloves.
4. WDW is busy compared to the other parks i.e. UNIVERSAL, Sea World etc, but not as busy as other times of the year. cHECK OUT REPORTS OF WHEN TO go to the parks on their quietest days.
5. Make sure you have some relaxing days where you do not do a park but just chill out
6. Enjoy! Savour every moment and don't rush around too much trying to fit everything in.
Have a wonderful holiday. We are going back in October and Ican't wait. This will be my 4th time and I am already boring my DH and my friends about it.

Hi RichNKatHolly

Fridays always sell out first. I ordered our tickets direct as I was worried that we wouldn't get them on the gate but on the night we went (mid week) loads of people were buying them then.

Keep ou eye on WDW own site for when the date are to be

No worries. No nights sold out until at least August. Fridays sell out and the last night sells out.

Thanks Clare D and Beatty Family. We are soooo looking forward to it now! Of course, I will probably buy my tickets right when they go on sale - it's the type A in me and I cannot control it!!! :flower3:

Yes, I was wondering too about the parade/firework times. I doubt we will make it through midnight - maybe 10pm - will we have time for everything or will we miss the parade/fireworks?

Thanks!

Hi Steph
We are looking to book for MNSSHP for October this year. Can I ask did you have to make a PS for Liberty Tree Tavern and were you in the park before the show started. If so do you have to go somewhere to show your ticket so that CM's know you are able to stay in the park. Also can you remeber how long the parks stay open until in October.
Apologies for hi-jacking the MVMCP thread to ask but I have posted some tips in defence.
Clare x ::MinnieMo

I made the PS for LTT when I ordered the tickets in May. LTT fills up quickly for the party, as it can be made before 90 days out. We had been in the park that morning and got back around 4. After dinner, we found a CM and got our party wristbands so we could stay for the party.

Hope this helps!

This will be our first year going to MVMCP and we can't wait! I've enjoyed reading through all of teh very informative posts in this thread. Thanks:)

So when the tickets go on sale you can make ps for LTT?? I did not know this last year :sad2: Now I know why we could'nt get in :earseek:

What is best, buy your tickets early or wait till you get down there? It look like they'll have a party the Thurs, Fri, & Sat. we'll be down there, I was thinking Saturday because we could sleep in Sunday, then head to the our Disney Cruise.

I would personally go on Thurs,I would think on a Saturday it would be soooo crowded! And I would buy the tickets early that way if you want you can make ps to eat some where in the park,if that is something you would be interested in doing :teeth: Hope this helps ;)
