I have been reading alot here on the boards, but I haven't done much posting.
Thank you all so much for sharing tips and advise. :sunny: I called this morning and reserved a room at Pop Century for 11/25-11/30. I also purchased tickets for MVMCP for 11/29. I made ADR for Tony's at 6:05; it was the earliest they had, but I think it should be okay. I haven't been to Disney in 6 years and I have never been to MVMCP.

The CM I talked with this morning said my MVMCP tickets would be waiting for me at Pop Century when I arrive. Is this true?

Are character meals just for kids? :confused3 My boyfriend and I had LTT as a first choice, but they didn't have anything earlier than 6:45. I will be 30 by the time we get there and he is older than I am. I love Pluto and he likes Goofy. Was it a crazy idea to have dinner at LTT? Would we be laughed at? :rotfl2: Was I saved being made a fool of because they were booked when I wanted to eat? Do you think I should stick with Tony's or keep calling to see if there is a cancellation at LTT?

I can't wait for November!! :Pinkbounc

We ate at Cape May Cafe on our honeymoon. My DH is a huge Goofy fan (Goofy was dressed as Admiral Goofy). Also had Roger Rabbit and Chip and Dale. It was a blast!!!

I ordered my tickets on 8/4 and received them on 8/8, for the 12/4 party.

Just for a heads up for people, I also received the AP discount - without having the AP, yet. I plan on buying one, but not until I am closer to December.

is it sort of like Spectro, I mean is it all lit up like Spectro is? What kind of parade is it and does anyone have any pics from previous years?

thanks :Pinkbounc

It's nothing like Spectro. It's a Christmas parade with Christmas floats. No lights like Spectro.

Its basically the same parade you see on TV, but without the celebrities and performances. I have some pics, I'll try to dig them up for you.

Here are some pics. Excuse the quality, my old digital was on its last leg after being dropped in Fantasyland!

My Mom was really looking forward to watching Spectro , she's missed it everytime she's gone in the past. I think MVMCP is going on almost every night while we're there.

thanks again!!!

Not sure of your dates, but last year, Spectro ran every night they DIDN'T have MVMCP.

Hi Everyone! We are going to MVMCP on Tues. Dec 13th. We have some golfers on our group and they were wanting to play that morning, come back and rest, shower and then go to MVMCP that night. For those of you that have been before, is this too much for one day? Do you think they will be too tired and worn out to last during the party? Yes, these are adult males I am talking about, but I want to make sure the party is fun for all and we don't have any cranky dads or grandfathers in the group! Any advice would be great! Thanks! :earsboy:

Wow, great board, wish I knew about it last year, but just think what I can do with the new info I am learning now, thanks everyone

Thanks for posting the cute pictures Angey77! My kids will be hopping with joy seeing the Christmas spirit on our MVMCP day (12/4).

Cynthia

September 17. But remember, if you are staying at a WDW resort and are checking in before that date, you can book 90 days out from your arrival date.
Here is a PS Calculator online.

It Looks like the last day of the Mickey Christmas is Dec 20th and I won't be down till the 23rd....
I've been down for New Years in the past but my wife's sister getting married in Sarasota area gave me a great excuse to double up at THE MOUSE this year.
Wish well to all...should be a special happening

These are from Celebrate the Season, the midnight showing. Just a hint, if you can hold out for it, this show is not crowded AT ALL. Most people have left the park already, as the party ends right when the show begins. (And how cool is it to see the clock on Cinderella Castle at midnight?)

Great pics! I'm sure hoping my kiddos hold out until midnight! We're not doing anything else that day and resting at the resort (GF). I want to see the late parade and then the show.

Thanks for the great pictures!

Thanks for posting, Angey77. My kids will go berzerk at MVMCP!!! (well, the entire trip actually)

I forgot one of the best parts of MVMCP is that the lines for characters seem to be slim to none. We were walking by PotC and there was only one family there hanging out with Peter Pan and Wendy. We waited for them to finish and had some great interaction time. I've also just walked straight up to Baloo one year and hugged him as tight as I could because he was just so warm and it was so cold out! Just keep those eyes peeled!

Thanks for all the tips! Can't believe a 'Bama grad such as myself is getting good and sound advice from a LSU Tiger! (I'd do a ROTFLMAO smilie but it isn't working!)
