Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2005

Thanks for posting! I got the calendar marked for Aug 15th. Looks like we'll have Eartha Kitt, the original catwoman.

CP dinner pkg prices compared to 2004:
Tier 1 went up $2/adt, $1/chd
Tier 2 went up $1/adt, $1/chd
Tier 3 went up $1/adt, $1/chd
I think we're going to stick with our plans for Tier 3 CP at LeCellier.

Tickets are currently in my grimly little hands for Tuesday Dec. 13th. Two Mickey's and a Goofy.

I received my tickets to 12/16 party today. It states that there is one complimentary picture per party. (Has this been discussed already.)

We have PS's for LTT at 5:35 (I just booked these yesterday)! The letter also states the cost is $22.99 for adults and $10.99 for children. So if my PS is for 5:35 before the actual 7:00 start time, should I expect to pay $24.99 for adults as stated on allears web site?

We got ours on Monday for Dec. 6th. We had 2 ::MickeyMo and 2 ::MinnieMo

I hope you got the right date, Dec. 6th is on Tuesday. If you are going on the 6th, hope to see you there. Do you have an ADR for LTT? We have one for 5:00.

Hope you have a great time

Oops, sorry, I worded that wrong. I got the tickets last Monday.

No ADR's yet. I need to get with the rest of the family that is going with us and decide what we're doing. LOL

Hi Ccgegg! We are going to be in the parks 4 days (1 Epcot, 1 MK, 1 MGM, 1 AK) We are not planning on going to the park on Tuesday morning. We were thinking of shopping in DTD (girls) and golfing (Guys) that morning and then all going to the MVMCP together! We do have our last day open, and I could schedule it for another day at MK but we were thinking of doing a tour that day (maybe family magic?) I wasn't sure if it would be better to just have another day of rides/shows/etc. at the MK rather than the Family Magic Tour, or if between the MVMCP and other day at MK if that would be enough for us.

We are celebrating younger DD's 1st bday (hopefully at Cindy's) and thought the family magic tour might be fun for Dh, myself, and older dd (will let Grandma watch the baby) to give older DD a special activity "just for her".

SO, maybe my question has changed....is it better to do 1 day at MK, one night at MVMCP and then the family magic tour or 2 days at MK (just riding rides, shows, no tour) and one night at MVMCP? :)

We will be going to see my brother later on that afternoon, so we would only have the morning in the park to either go on our own or go on the tour.

Hugpug, are you getting excited? That is neat we will be there the same time! :earsboy:

Thanks for all the advice and help!

Just my 2 cents, but if I were you, I'd skip the tour. Why pay all that extra money? There is more than enough things to see in the parks already. It would be great to spend that last morning revisiting your daughter's favorite rides. Depending on the crowds, one day might not be enough time to see everything anyhow.
To tell the truth, sometimes the last day is a little stressful for us, because nobody wants to leave, and everyone has certain rides they want to hit 'one more time.' If your plan is to make that your daughter's special day, and everyone knows that in advance, I think it would be a great plan! I also like the idea of Cindy's for breakfast for her. If getting a seating at Cindy's doesn't work out, the Crystal Palace is also a great place for a character breakfast (Pooh and Friends - great food! Beautiful building!)

Could anyone who was at WDW last year during the taping of the Christmas show tell us how it went? Did you see any stars at the park, rides, hotel,etc...? What hotels seemed to be used by the stars? Thank you!!

That's right, I'm booked! December 16-21 I will be living it up in the house of the mouse...I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

Thanks for the advice, Mickeyluv'r! I was thinking something a little "different" but you may have a point that just getting to ride her favorites again would be the best treat!

Hi, I have a question:

I've been reading about what nights are the best/not as good times to go for the MVMCP, and see that many people seem to get the tickets as soon as they are available. I have not been to WDW for three years, and I have always gone to the Party; although I seem to remember not getting my tickets until about October. I do not know if the Party has become MORE popular, or if I was very lucky to get my tickets.

I do not know exactly which parks I plan to visit on what days yet, and am wondering if I wait until October (when my iternary has been scheduled), am I going to have a problem getting tickets??

Can anyone advise me?? I definately do not want to miss the Party.

Thanks

I never noticed it before but I think some of the prices on page one are incorrect. Maybe they are from last year?? :confused3

Here are the prices for this year:

2005 Prices:
Advance Purchase Prices -- Sunday through Thursday
Adult -$41.49 -- $31.90 Children

Friday Nights & Day Of
Adult $46.81 -- $37.23 Children

Annual Passholder Discounts are available for;
November 29 & December 1, 4 & 13
Adult - $35.10 -- Children (3-9) - $27.64

Thanks for the updated prices! But, of course, I'm still confused. Are the dates listed under AP the only dates that we could buy with those discounts?

Thanks for your help!

Ok I have a question. surprise surprize I know. How busy is MVMCP on the first night Nov 27? This is the night we are planning on being there :goodvibes but could move things around to be there another night if it would be too too busy. I was thinking it would not be to bad being a Sunday and all but then got nervous about it being the first night. So how bad is it on the first night? :confused3

I just cancelled our dinner ressies at LTT for 6pm on 12/1 for 5 people in case anyone here needs it.

I have been reading alot here on the boards, but I haven't done much posting.
Thank you all so much for sharing tips and advise. :sunny: I called this morning and reserved a room at Pop Century for 11/25-11/30. I also purchased tickets for MVMCP for 11/29. I made ADR for Tony's at 6:05; it was the earliest they had, but I think it should be okay. I haven't been to Disney in 6 years and I have never been to MVMCP.

The CM I talked with this morning said my MVMCP tickets would be waiting for me at Pop Century when I arrive. Is this true?

Are character meals just for kids? :confused3 My boyfriend and I had LTT as a first choice, but they didn't have anything earlier than 6:45. I will be 30 by the time we get there and he is older than I am. I love Pluto and he likes Goofy. Was it a crazy idea to have dinner at LTT? Would we be laughed at? :rotfl2: Was I saved being made a fool of because they were booked when I wanted to eat? Do you think I should stick with Tony's or keep calling to see if there is a cancellation at LTT?

I can't wait for November!! :Pinkbounc

No you won't be laughed at and many adults go to character meals without kids, just go check out the restaurant board and you'll see. I think you should try for LTT at your 90 plus 10 window to make ADR's, they will open up more tables for booking at that time. If you don't get it try at exactly 90 days and every day for that week to catch a cancelation from someone who booked it but wanted CP or CRT for example.

We spent DH's 30th b-day at WDW in April, and one of the favorite things we did was to have breakfast at Chef Mickey's. He got TONS of attention, and loved every minute of it. I don't think anyone looked "funny" at us in the least - but if they did, we sure didn't care! I highly recommend character meals for that extra bit of magic! Have fun! :cheer2:
