Ok im back!
I just got off the phone with CRO and the CM I spoke to told me the only reason that is on the site is for anyone that is going to the park prior to the party.

She told me that at 7pm you can get in with just the hard ticket, she told me that you can't enter earlier then 7, (unless you have a park pass) but I have been to both the Halloween and Christmas party about 4 times and we have always gotten in before 5pm with just the Party Ticket, there was even a seperate entrance for people with the party tickets that were also getting wristbands.

Sounds good to me :) I went in 2002 and don't seem to remember needing anything but my party ticket.

Yep. I called again and got a different CM, who said you could get in after 7 with just the party ticket. I am sooooo relieved!!

You should be able to get in anytime after 4:00 pm with just your party ticket. We went to MNSSHP last year and were to get in at 4:00. If you have dinner PS you can definately get in but you DO NOT need them to get in from 4:00 on. We are going to MVMCH this year on 11/30 and plan on visiting the resorts during the day to check out all their wonderful Christmas decorations and then heading over to the party at 4:00. Have a great time.

Between the $120 round trip airfare and the Disney e-mail offer code, I just couldn't resist a December WDW trip. We are booked at the YC from 12/10-12/13. The one and only time we were at Disney for Christmas was back in 1995. I don't know much about the MVMCP and I really need some help from my friends. Originally I had planned on going to MVMCP on 12/10 and booking an Illuminations cruise on 12/12. From what I've read though, Friday nights can get very crowded, so it might be better to switch and attend the party on Sunday instead. Now the big question is, should I drop the cruise and go to MVMCP on both nights? If we switch and go just on Sunday, will we be able to do/see it all? With the rides, I know my kids will want to do SpaceMountain, Stitch, Buzz, BTTR, SplashMountain & Phillharmagic. Will we be able to get on these rides and also see the parade and fireworks? Plus, I have no idea what else they offer for entertainment. I did read the tip about booking LTT or one of the other options, for dinner at about 4:30. We'll definitely plan on doing that regardless of which night we go.

Thanks everyone,
Tammi

As far as attending MVMCP on two nights and getting on all the rides you want, I think it depends on if you are planning on attending the MK on any other day and if you are planning on spending the day in the MK before the party. If the only time you will be going to MK is for the party then you might want to do two nights. If you are planning on going to MK another time, then you can probably get away with one night.

As far as things to during the party, there is snow on Main Street, special fireworks display, Christmas parade (shown twice), free hot chocolate, cookies and a special picture, Mickey's Twas the Night Before Christmas show, Celebrate the Season (show shown in front of the castle, Christmas version of Goofy's County Dancing Jamboree, Belle's Christmas Show and Santa's Snowflake storyteller. There is also a Christmas version of the Country Bears but I am not sure if this is shown then.

I don't know if you have ever been down to Disney for Christmas but there are so many wonderful things to do and wonderful decorations to see. Visit the different hotels and check out their christmas trees and gingerbread houses.

Tammi - Thanks for the info about the meet on 11/30 at Buzz. I will read through the posts. What time is everyone meeting? We have dinner reservations for 4:30 at LTT. Also, does anyone know what time they light the Christmas Tree and if there is a special Tree Lighting Event. I would love to see this if there is and would hate to be eating dinner at this time.

Linda

Thanks for the info Linda. We picked an Epcot resort for this trip and hadn't really planned on visiting the MK other than for the party. DH and I stayed at the GF last year in early January and saw a lot of the resorts all decorated. For this trip, I'd really like to see the Santa's in Epcot and of course the Osborne Lights at MGM. We'll be spending 3 full days, but definitely want to make this a relaxing visit. I think I'll go with MVMCP on Sunday 12/12 and we'll see what we can get done.

Thanks,
Tammi

We are going to our first party on 12/16. What is the best time for a dinner priority seating at the park? Thanks.

Hi there!
Around 5:30 seems to be the most popular, LTT is taking PS's now, if you want to dine in the park I would recommend making the PS at LTT now, and if you want to change it at the 90 day mark you can, but if you wait you run a chance that no PS's will be available.

Thanks Stacey. I will call today. I love LTT and it has been a while since we have eaten there. However, my son might like the food at CP better so I might switch at 90 days.

You are welcome, we have a LTT PS at 5:30 on Nov 30th.
It is always better to be safe and have a PS!

Thank you for all the great info! We'll be going to the party on the 17th. Would have liked to have gone earlier, but won't be at Disney until the mid morning of the 17th. Can't wait!!

My plans are to attend 12/14 but will be having dinner at Artist Point.

Will the lines be super long to enter the park?

What time would you enter the park?? They allow entrance after 4:00p so that everyone is not enter at 7:00p like they used to so coming in any time is now not quite as bad as it used to be.

Thanks for answering so quickly. It's great to know they don't hold everyone up like they use too. I feel more comfortable about this decision. Thanks again! :Pinkbounc

I was wondering if any of the events for MVMCP are offered during the day as well. We will be going from Dec 5 to Dec 13. I thought I would catch anything I could during regular park hours if possible.

The first two I know...
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade
(Yes, during xmas week from what I've read)

Wishes Nighttime Spectacular
(Different on MVMCP nights)

But what about any of these...
Mickey's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas
Galaxy Palace Theater in Tomorrowland

Celebrate the Seasons
Castle Forecourt Stage

Goofy's Country Dancin' Jamboree Celebrates the Holidays Show
The Diamond Horseshoe Saloon in Liberty Square

Belle's Enchanted Christmas
Fantasyland Pavilion

Santa's Snowflake Special
Fairytale Garden in Fantasyland - Storyteller

(I got this list off the Intercot site posted earlier in thes thread, It is obviuosly last years)

Thanks for the help everyone. I have a ps booked at LTT for 4:30 on Sunday 12/12. I've never eaten here before, so now I need to check out the dining forum. I think this will work out great for everyone in our party. DH will still be able to relax at the ESPN club and watch the Patriots football game at 1pm. The kids can swim at SAB and we'll just have a relaxing afternoon. Gotta luv the folks at DIS for the little tip about arriving before the crowds. It will be nice to have an early dinner and then we can snack on cookies and cocoa for the rest of the evening.

Happy planning everyone.
Tammi

Hey Folks--just curious, my mom and I are planning to eat at the Columbia Harbor House for dinner on the 9th before the MVMCP. We were thinking that we would eat around 5:00. If we finish by 6, where will they make us go? Do they restrict you to a certain "land" for the hour when you are already in the park? Will the Harbor House be open any later or will we need to be out by 6?
Just curious...we don't want to get a PS for anything that night, we've got enough PSs throughout our trip that we just want to get some quick fish and chips that night...thanks!
