Ok since we to have PS at LTT, where do we go from there to get our picture? Would we have to wait until 7 when the party actually stated or can we get it before?

Things change from year to year but we HAD to wait till 7:00p in 2002. They would not let us take the picture any sooner. We had it taken across from LTT at HOP I believe.

Well at least we know where to get our picture taken. Now does anyone know what will happen and I hope it doesn't, rain. Is the party cancelled or do they keep on?

We will be there on the 2nd! Any recommendations on where to catch dinner that evening, or it is better to eat something before we go so that we can just enjoy the festivities? Obviously Santa is there - can little ones get their picture taken with Santa?

Also, any other suggestions for a December disney trip? Do anyone recommend the Luau - or is it too chilly?

Last, does MK have the fireworks show every evening in December or just on nights when there's a MVMCP?

I'll keep reading everyones comments!

Hey guys,

Having to cancel my last couple of trips I am determined to get back to the world for my 35th B-day on December 18th!

Anyway let me make sure I have figured out how to "work" this whole MVMCP thing.

Choosing Thur Dec 16th over Fri the 17th as will be less crowded

Can get into park by 4:00 with JUST party tickets & enjoy rides until dinner PS.

Try to make a PS around 5:45 ish at LTT now, can try to switch to CP, Castle or Toni's at 90 days. This way we have dinner while park is closed.

Enjoy party starting at 7:00

Watch last parade

Park closes at 12

That it?

One more thing.

Looking at the shows they offer which ones should I not miss? I have two boys ages 5 and almost 9.

I planned on wishes and the parade ... but is there anything else we must do other than rides?

Thanks

WDWO

I called the Disney reservation number and they said that you had to have a park ticket to get in for the party. I have friends driving in to visit us during our vacation just so our families can share the party together. Does anyone know if policies have changed since last year when everyone got in with just their party ticket?

Thanks!! :Pinkbounc

That doesn't seem right. Call back. If you have the MMVMCP tickets you are supposed to get in at 4:00 pm. Now if your going before the party like when they open or after 12, then you will need a park ticket. If you don't like the 1st answer...wait and call right back. Don't give up. Pixie dust your way...

I told the Disney phone person that it was my understanding that if you waited until 7 (I knew I had read 4, but I said 7) that you should be able to get in with just the MVMCP ticket. She said you had to provide both tickets. I really don't want this to be true!! I just don't know what the rules said last year.

To all those who went last year: Did the rules state you needed a regular park ticket, but at the ticket gate they let you in with just the party ticket?

I guess I will try to call again tomorrow.... It's just that the web site says it too

The cast member was wrong. You only need your MVMCP ticket for the event. We will be arriving for 5:30 priority seating arrangements and the cast member told me that they would escort us to the restaurant for diner. Don't worry, it won't be a problem!

Where does the website say that? I looked, but I couldn't find it.
I did notice that the website lists the "advance purchase price" and the "front gate price" and they are the same price. Does this not match up with the truth? I thought that I had heard that it would be more at the gate.

I dislike it very much when you know your right because of all the great Dis'rs said so and even if the cm works at Disney. The CM tell you wrong and you call back and get the correct answer. It makes things all better.

You know at first when I saw them at the site it said that buying them in advance would be cheaper.

Hi, all! Thanks for all the great tips. I do have a new question, though...
Does the Christmas Parade only run during MVMCP? (In other workds, do they run it another time that doesn't require an extra ticket and extra $$$?)

I thought I read this somewhere, but I can't find it now. If this is true, when do they start showing the parade outside of the hard ticket MVMCP event?

Thanks,

Doug

Once the parties end, the week of Christmas it will replace the afternoon parade.

Also, they run it once the first Saturday in December as that is when they tape the Christmas Day parade special. But this version is long and stops and goes and can get crowded and boring at times.

Thanks, beattyfamily. Does the afternoon version start on Saturday, Dec 18?

I suppose this might be a good time to ask if MVMCP is worth it, if we can catch the parade on Saturday or Sunday (we leave on the 19th)?

Is the party worth it for 2 adults? It would just be my wife and I, and $36 bucks seems a bit steep for a parade, a cookie, and snow...

Thanks!

Doug

My guess is yes, they may do the switch that Saturday, or Sunday but I'll bet Disney can tell you OR when December hours come out, the Disney website may be able to tell you too for sure.

Only you can decide if the party is worth it but I LOVE it! It's great fun! It's not just for a parade, a cookie, and snow.

It's being at MK for at least 6 extra hours off season to do rides, see the Xmas Parade, Wishes fireworks, get a free photo per person, free cookies and hot choc, exclusive merchandise, a few Xmas shows like Twas the Night Before Christmas, the Snow on Main street, the decorations and Xmas music at night, it's just wonderful!

It's like an E-night with many festive extras. I think it's worth it.

The WDW website also states that Theme Park Admission is required.

Additional Information

• * Theme park admission is required.

• Entertainment is subject to change without notice.

• To purchase tickets call (407)-W-DISNEY.†

This is off the site itself. Now I'm really confused as I seem to remember that this was always a Hard Ticket Event with no other Theme Park admission required. I have an AP so it's not a big deal to me but I have others in the family that were not planning on going to a park for the day so will not have a park ticket, but were going to join us later for the party.

That is weird....why would a person pay 36.00 to go there for 5 hours and still have to buy a pass?
We will have length of Stay passes (or UHP whatever they are calling them now)...so it won't matter to us, but that doesn't seem right....

But what you posted is under the 'Description' of MNSSHP so I take it as meaning this is not a free event, you need to buy a ticket that's all.

This IS a Hard Ticket event and you ONLY need party tickets to attend it. I'm 100% sure of this.

E-nights, on the other hand, are different and you do need both to attend.
