This is at 6:00 p.m. each day. I read there is a short show with Mickey, but is this show before or after 6:00 p.m.? I am trying to decide about dinner and need to know how early we need to get there to see this.

Are you talking about tree lighting at MK? If you are it all happens together. They show is prior to the tree lighting but it starts at 6pm. The whole process lasts, I would say, about 10-15 minutes (about as long as FLag retreat during the regular season). It is cute if you get a chance to catch it...

I read about something in Epcot at 6:00 p.m.

"Join Mickey as he gathers his friends at this special time of year to celebrate the holiday with an array of traditions. Tap your toes to international holiday music, and feel the peace and goodwill as the final tradition — lighting the tree — brings us all together.

Showtimes: Daily at 6:00 p.m."

This is from Disney's website.
I am just not sure if the show starts at 6:00 or before and the tree lighting is at 6:00.

The tree lighting in the past has been at 5:30 pm, after the flag lowering ceremony at 5 pm. But, this year who knows! Since the tree has been relocated to the hub area next to the castle, one would assume they would have a short show on the forecastle stage.

The MK Tree will only be in the Rose Garden until December 6 or 7. It is only there because of the Parade filming (they are using the Town Square (flag pole) area for Regis and Kelly's set up. After the filming it will be moved back to it's normal location right in front of the flag pole. (Yes this does mean that there will be at least one day at MK with NO tree... they will take it down over night and move it the next night).

As for the Lighting at Epcot, I have never actually seen that, but with other entertainment offerings on property if it says 6pm that will be when the entire thing begins, characters and all.
