Patricia, I am with you. I'm SO excited that I can't tell you how many times I have almost blown the surprise w/ Christopher. There have been so many times I have started to say "when we go on the cruise" to quickly change it to (said w/ big, oh I almost blew that eyes) "when we go to sea world". the closer it gets the harder it gets to not say anything because I just start to bubble over w/ excitement!

Dawn,

Glad to hear things sound like they are calming down a little down there. I hope Chase has a great first day at his new school. Good luck with all.

We just watched the Wonder pull away!!!! THREE WEEKS and that will be us!!!! WOOOHOOOO!!!!! I cannot wait for that to get here!

I had the cam on for an hour and I didn't see anything.

Oh well. I will just have to see it sail away on 9/7 which is what now less than 3 weeks away?!? Now that school is back time will fly for me.

Mary, I can't wait to see that one!!!!!

DH is STILL working on my door magnets! I just said to him "those really should get printed out by next week". I hate to cut things so close. I still have a bunch of things to get done. Now the kids will be home for probably 2 days this week. That cuts into my time.

**ok stress vent over** it will get done, it will get done...

Got to see the Wonder pull out of dock! Almost forgot about it. I had just gotten in from a motorcycle ride:moped: and remembered, Hey, the ship boss the ship (remember Tatoo, the plane boss the plane?). The controls were not working very good, but, i still saw the ship pull out. Yes! It still floats. Hey you Florida friends, hope you all survive the storm. Living were we do in Delaware we do not get storms as bad as alot of other parts of the country. Actually our weather is very good. Well, "Big Brother" is on gotta go.

Well, the Magic is now officially on her way to meet Graham and me. I can't believe that 2 weeks from now we will we in Florida.
We have decided to spend the night before we fly out at the Crowne Plaza at the airport as we are leaving an hour earlier than usual. So we end up spending two nights running at a Crown Plaza near an airport, but on two different continents!

We fly out on Thursday and are scheduled to land around 2.30pm Florida time - I hope the storm will have long gone by then... I'm starting to worry the plane will be cancelled or something!!

I'll be heading down for the airport on Wednesday :)

All my FE gifts are now in my suitcase, ready to go, I just hope they don't get crumpled!

I wish everyone safe flights and good weather!! pixiedust: (waving my magic wand)

Hayley you should be fine by Thursday! We should be back to the normal weather pattern by then. These things do not last over a day. :)
I'm starting to second guess my decision not to put my hurricane shutters up. This is the sixth time in five years of owning the house (we had the four storms in one year) and I'm quite tired of lugging those things around. Not to mention if you picture Laurel and Hardy trying to put up hurricane shutters...that would be me trying not to cut myself, cut the screen or drop them on my foot (all of which I have done:) ). At the same time though I'm getting that naggy "better to be safe than sorry" voice in my stomach and my kids keep begging me to put up the "force field". Yesterday we had a pretty intense thunderstorm roll through the kids were on the verge of hysteria thinking it was the hurricane. Well, I guess I'll be out there in the monsoon after work putting them up.:guilty: :upsidedow
We will see how long I'm without power. I'll post an update as soon as I can!

HI,

To keep the kiddies busy at dinner and to try and have a relaxing meal on this trip........I went to the Dollar store........I bought stamp kits, playdough, stickers, foam "beads" with string, and pads of papers to keep all their creations.......I plan on giving out something new each meal to keep them occupied! Just not sure how to lug all this stuff.......I seriously need an extra suitcase........but, it will be totally worth it if it keeps them busy and I can enjoy eating!! :thumbsup2

The kids on our trip include one 10yo, three 4yos, two 2yo's, and one infant!

OMGoodness!! Well thanks for the tips, they are really helpful. I am going to be heading to the dollar store and stuff in the next week so that after Labor day all I have to do is pack!

Well, my northern friends get a snow day and I get a hurricane day tomorrow. ;) Call me insane, but I always get the adrenaline going and have a bit of excitment when this stuff happens. Mary, stay safe.

Dawn,

I worked in a school for 11 years, we LOVED snow days!!!! We even had a closing for a hurricane several years ago. Being a little state, it's easy for them to call a state of emergency and all 'non-essential' personel are supposed to stay home.

I hope Patty and i get to set at one of you guys tables that has kids. I want to play with playdough also:banana: . I have a short attention span and always liked playdough. Can i have some please.:yay: I promise to share.

Well I got my hurricane shutters up despite slicing open one of the screens:headache: , getting attacked by a swarm of mosquitos (picture Lilo and Stitch:laughing: ), and trying to climb over spiders:scared: to get them up. I don't suspect we will have any problems from this storm but at least we are prepared. :thumbsup2 In the mean time I'm going to enjoy my hurricane day w/ the boys. Patricia, what do you do during snow days? Anything special?

Dawn,

Glad you got your shutters up (better safe than sorry). Yea, when the kids were little, we'd play in the snow, have hot cocoa, go sledding (odd it's too bad to drive to school/work but not too bad to drive to the park to go sledding, LOL). Now that I dont' work at a school anymore, I don't like snow days, cause I still go to work :(

OK guys - this is probably goodbye from me! I might try to pop on later in the evening, but we'll probably be getting things ready for the off tomorrow.

We're leaving around 2-4pm (GMT) tomorrow afternoon for our airport hotel - I'll try pop on in the hotel to say hello if there's internet access :teeth:

Again, we'll be getting internet in Disney to Skype home, so I'll try and get on to say HELLO!

I'll see you guys in the Port!

I gotta go jot down your room numbers! That would be handy for the FEs wouldn't it :rotfl:

Bye Hayley, have a safe flight and enjoy the land portion of your trip!!! Can't wait to meet you in 19 days!!!!!!

Yea, I made a list of everyones room numbers, but not sure where it is, so got to start again, lol.

Have lots of fun, stop in and say hi and let us know how you are enjoying your trip.

I will do :teeth:

FE gifts are safely in the suitcases - I have to keep saying that to remind myself that I indeed have put them in!

Orlando has to have better weather than here! We've had to put the heating on the last couple of days. In August! Crazy stuff.

19 DAYS TO GO!! It hasn't sunk in that we're going back to Florida on Thurs, let alone that we're doing a Bahamian Cruise in 19 days!!

Hayley, enjoy your trip!!! I can't wait to hear from you! See you in 19 days!:goodvibes

Just another rainy day here. We aren't even getting a breeze at the moment....just drippy rain. Thank goodness no big deal. I don't even think we will lose power. Mary how is your side holding up?
