Thanks for the shampoo information, everyone. Patty, thank you for offering to find a way of picking it up in Philly since you live a lot closer. There's a store in Bethesda and that's not too far from here. I might go down that way (Ikea's in College Park) to look for furniture for the kids' room anyway. The past couple weeks I have been preconditioning and wetting my hair, but the damage is done, and it hasn't helped as much as I would have liked. I know it's the best thing to do but I am definitely not wearing a bathing cap. IF I keep up with the swimming, I'll get one and a swimmer's bathing suit and not the old granny style suit I wear. LOL

Enough about my hair. Corinna's dress is very, very pretty. I read too quickly to see if she already ordered it or not. I agree with Mary about Patty's time being quicker than not moving at all. That's all the motivation I need (for today) to get off this board and go walk on my treadmill. It rained today so we didn't go to the pool. By the way, I love our pool because even when it's full of kids, it has a dedicated lap lane. Even better, hardly anyone ever uses it!

Hayley, How do you know you were censored? I don't see anything.

Thank God for kids old enough and capable enough to cook dinner! I just put William in charge of making the baked macaroni and cheese, so I can go exercise. :)

Be back later!

Fire?! Jeez! I hope everything is OK on there!

Corinna, that's a beautiful dress! I just bought my Dress-Up night dress the other day from River Island :)

What's all this talk of Lush?! I LOOOOOOVE LUSH! The closest store to me is in Chester so whenever I go there I stock up! I even tracked down a Lush store in Venice  I was telling DBF, I'm sure I smell Lush (*** you can smell it down the street right?!), he was saying don't be silly - this is Venice, and sure enough I followed my nose and there it was! He does indulge me and buys me one of those big hatboxes every Xmas though which lasts a bit :) My fave bath bomb ever is Fairy Jasmine, it's so lovely!

I did this in York round about the time the store opened there. I had actually asked when I had last been to Lush if there was a Lush in York and was told no. I got to the city centre and there was this certain smell. I just followed my nose and there it was. At that time I lived about an hour by train from the closest Lush store so i was very happy indeed.
My favourite ballistic is All That Jas. I really don't like glitter so I never warmed to Fairy Jasmine. They still do All That Jas in the USA, even though it has been discontinued in the UK for years. I end up stocking up on this every year.

I just noticed I got censored for something

I didn't swear, I promise :rotfl:

Hayley,

I quoted you and didn't see anything bad. I think some times the mods don't have enough to do. I really don't even know what you had there (something about being able to smell lush)??? Oh well, I would think they'd let you know. I mentioned before about links and sometimes they will take them out, so i thought that's what you were talking about until i went and looked.

Monica,

Hope you are able to find something to help. I remember when we belonged to a pool, I too would use that shampoo cause I also colored my hair, so it was like straw if i did not use the chlorine shampoo.

i have one of those granny suits and i bought a new one for the cruise. I just don't feel comfy 'exposing' myself to the world (haha, but then my gown for our vow renewal is a bit exposing, lol).

The dress was ordered this morning and when I came home this evening, I already had an email that it is in the mail. So with a bit of luck it should be here in just over a week's time. I can't wait to try it on.

I didn't see anything either. Was it good? popcorn::

Today is my anniversary 14 yrs. Feels like 20! Just kidding--maybe

My favorite character has always been stitch and my wife's has always been The Little Mermaid... working on our gift ideas as we speak.

Happy Anniversary, Mary! Congratulations on 14 years of marriage.

As for the lap lane, yesterday, this unfortunate lady wandered into the lap lane while I was swimming in it-not sure why since it's roped off-and her timing was terrible. Not only did I accidently kicked her, the life guard blew his whistle at her and shouted at her for being in the lane. Talk about embarrassed. I don't think she'll ever make that mistake again.

Tomorrow, dh is working late so I'm definitely going down to Bethesda to find that LUSH place and make a stop at Ikea. AND, I'm going to look around for FE stuff at the mall. I guess that means I better get serious about looking over our list of who, how old, and how many for the FE's. :surfweb: I'm warning all of you, the imp of the perverse may do the shopping for me.

Monica, you always make me laugh w/ the way you write. You are a great story teller. :)
Well, I'm off to Amsterdam tomorrow (fingers crossed). I'll catch you all on the flip side of the weekend.:wave2:
Patricia, I'll be interested to hear more about that fire when you get more information. :listen:
I'm sure I'll have a lot of catching up to do on the board when I get back on Sunday! :surfweb:

Happy Anniversary Mary!

Have fun in Amsterdam Dawn, I'm sure you will! It's a great city!

Is there a Lush in Orlando? My dad hates the glitter too, I always leave the glitter everywhere and it sticks to him when he gets in the bath next! I also love the special Xmas stuff they do, especiall the Snow Fairy shower gel :)

Hayley,

yes there is a LUSH in the Orlando airport! I am sure you will SMELL it as you get close, we always do (even before knowing it was there, lol).

Oooh, you know, I didn't notice it last time! I'll look out for it this time!

I just checked the website and there is also a store in the Florida Mall in case anyone is interested :teeth:

Hayley,

When our duaghter was in the college program at Disney, she found that one also in the mall and had to really restrain from spending all her money there, lol.

OK I am out of it. I have never heard of this LUSH that you all speak of. Where in the airport is it? If I have time I will check it out. (I stress the "if I have time" because MCO security can be a nightmare at times)
