Patricia and Monica, What time are you taking the shuttle to the port?:confused3

Dawn,

We'll have a rental to return (I forget where at the moment) and then we'll take the shuttle from the rental place. I would like to be at the port around 10:30 or so, since I've read from those experienced ones that it's nice to get to board first!!! :cool1:

We got to the port at 11:30 last time and we were one of the first groups to board(they give out #s). I going to try and get there around 11:00 this time because the cruise is so short. I want to have as much time as possible! lol. They won't begin boarding until 12:30 or so.

It's like 1 1/2 hr drive from my house. Which feels sooo much longer going to the port than home from.

That's something else I need to sort out: ringing the Radisson about the shuttle. I am hoping to be on the first shuttle of the day.

Corinna

We are getting a towncar up to the Port, although I debating whether it would be nice to have a limo take us up :) I am convincing DBF to change!

I can't remember what time I told the Towncar to be there by... 9am maybe? Eek! I better check that out!

Corinna, I had forgotten you were also going to be at the Raddison. Their first shuttle of the day is at 10am and that is the one we are on. I was wondering who of my DIS pals would be on the shuttle w/ us. :)

Hi Haley!!

Patricia thanks again for answering all my questions :goodvibes

I hope I'm not driving you crazy yet!!!

So, of course one more question....would kodakgallery work? I looked for a # after the photos, but I didn't see any, so I'm thinking no! :confused3

So, who else will be at Disney before the cruise??

We arrive in Orlando on 9/4 and are staying at Pop! with FREE DINING!!!!! :dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

sorry, but I don't think kodak gallery will work. You can probably 'share' the photos, there might be info on kodak about that, but not sure.

We will be at disney AFTER the cruise. We extended our trip for four days (with free dining) and we are also staying at POP!!!

We're not taking the shuttle because we'll be spending the night before the cruise in Spring Hill with my mom and our kids and then driving to the port in the morning.

If anyone wants to have a breakfast meet before the port opens, I'm up for that.

We stayed at the Radisson before our first cruise. You are wise to make your arrangements now for the first shuttle. If we had waited until we arrived it would have been full. Of course, that was a 7-day in April. A short cruise in September might not be an issue.
We almost missed our shuttle for two reasons because the driver's list had our name either spelled wrong or he read it wrong. He called for Paine instead of Paire. I heard him call for Paine a couple times and he was about to cross us off and take on another family who was waiting in the wings to take that shuttle in case of a no-show when I stepped up and asked if it was a family of five and if the name he was trying to read was Paire. Close call. It wasn't our fault, but if looks could kill though, we wouldn't have survived the moment. Certain others waiting for the next shuttle (our family and our luggage took up the whole minivan) thought I was dingbat who didn't know my own last name.

sounds good to me!!!! I want to see my disbuddies before we get on the boat (afraid i won't find you all once we do).

Our hotel room includes breakfest for two ( I guess the other three don't to eat? j/k) I imagine we will eat at the hotel. If I remember a post in the past, Monica wanted to eat some place good (and who can blame her!) so I don't think we could do it. :sad1:

Dawn, I know you'll like the breakfast at the Raddison. The food is very good, and there's such a festive atmosphere in the dining room. I guess because most everyone's leaving for a cruise. The waiters were even cheerful.

I really wish Warren and I were staying at the Radisson or the Residence Inn the night before the cruise. I'd love to check in, relax and swim in the pool while Warren reads a book until late in the day, go out to dinner some time in the evening, and wake up on cruise day with breakfast waiting for us down in the lobby. I go back and forth about it. If I strongly suggested it, I know Warren would allow it. I know I shouldn't ask though.

Don't get the impression I'm a food snob or anything like that. My idea of "good" depends on how much money I have in my pocket. The way I think is, I can't enjoy what I can't afford. We're trying to economize this time around, so any place where neither the eggs nor the grits are instant and I can ask for milk for my coffee without the waitress reacting as if I was requesting she spoonfeed me my grapefruit, is good enough for me.

What dinner seating does everyone have? We have early.

We went to Universal today. Brenden Fraser was there to promote the new Mummy movie. He said "I thought Egypt was hot!" hehe. The movies were actually filmed in Morocco but, that's ok.

My brother is visiting on his way to OCS in GA. He is coming from TX so this is actually a bit cooler for him.

Let me know if you come up with a breakfast plan. Are you all staying right at the port that morning? I don't know what's around but I can try to look into it.--DH just reminded me that I am surprising DD and DS with this trip so I don't know if I can do the breakfast thing (duh Mary) I am up for plan B!

Mary,

we also have early seating for dinner. I was goign to try to change it, but a close friend just got back from a disney cruise and she said it would of been much better to have had early. late really interferred with a lot of things. so i think we'll keep our early seating.

Yea, guess you can't be going to the radisson the night before if the kids don't know you are cruising, lol.

Monica, I don't think your a food snob. :) I too am very value concious this time around and that is why I don't want to miss out on using at least two of us eating for free. :) I have been taking home the left overs from work so we can eat that and I can continue to save money for our trip. Every little bit counts! (Not to mention that I HATE wasting food and we get so much of it at work it usually just ends up getting thrown away)
I am lucky that for us, staying at the Radisson works well for our plans. Whenever we go to Orlando we always stay in a hotel. It has always been a Disney hotel (or one right next door to Disney) but considering Christopher is expecting to go to Aqautica (a place he has never been) he won't suspect anything w/ staying right next to port. Besides, when he sees the Wonder in port I can torture him more. mawhahahaha. ;)
Well, I better get ready for church. Have a great day everyone!

Depending on when you get there on the 6th, you might even see the Magic as well as it is coming back from the 5 night special cruise that day.

Corinna

I think so. I know that Graham has shown me pictures of the Wonder before now and I am sure that the webcam where those pictures came from was at the Radisson.
