Sorry for joining the group so late! My DW and I are joining all of you on the sept. 7 sailing of the Disney Wonder...this is our 2nd cruise on the wonder, 2nd cruise with Disney and would never dream of cruising with anyone else! While on our cruise we will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary as we sailed on the Disney Wonder for part of our Honeymoon. I have created a surprise trip for My DW as she knows we are going on a cruise...she doesnt know I have built my own Land and Sea adventure where we will be going to WDW for a day prior to the cruise and then when we get up in the morning I'm sending her down to get breakfast, i'm putting the luggage out to be put on the Magical Express....when she asks what park we are going to today...she wont believe me when we get in line to get on the Magical Express. I even worked with our
travel agent (who by the way is the most awesome travel agent I have ever used for business or personal travel) and we were able to get the same cabin we had for our honeymoon! (#6511). I Hope the DW and I can make it on our day at sea to the VR ceremony....someday I hope that will be us!
We have already started making plans for a magical gathering aboard the Wonder for 2009 for both of our families to enjoy in the magic of a
Disney Cruise!!!! On our honeymoon we went on the "swimming with the Dolphins" excursion in Nassau, and was an experience of a lifetime! Where else can you dance, feed, and get a hug and kiss from a Dolphin! While on
Castaway Cay we did the stringray adventure where you were able to feed and pet the stingrays and you even got to go snorkling with them. It was right after the tragic death of Steve Irwin...so needless to say everyone was a little apprehensive about getting to close, but the staff on Castaway Cay were awesome and they informed our excursion group that their barb's are like fingernails and the staff trims them off (which doesnt hurt the stingray) and we would all be safe feeding them...It felt somewhat like if you stuck a vacuum on your hand when they suck the food out of your palm...I would recommend both excursions to anyone going.
For the first time cruisers in our group, if you would like to know all the ins and out of almost anything
DCL related I highly recommend a book my wife and I got given to us as a bon voyage gift. The Passporter Guidebook to DCL. It has not only a listing of all the excurions, reviews, deck maps of the ship, all ports of call for all of the DCL ships, but it has budget pages set up so you dont give MM the Key to your Life Savings...LOL but it has suggested tips for your cabin's staff...the whole nine yards!***plus when leaving the ship I highly recommend getting a porter....standard tipping for them is about $3 a bag...but they gather your bags for you, carry them through customs and load them on the vehicle your are leaving the port from no matter if it is to go back to WDW, your own car, or the airport busses....well well well worth the money.
I'm kind of a Disney Junkie...so I spend most of my free time doing research on DCL and traveling with the cruise line as much as possible..Upon doing some reading I found a cruise listing for our sailing that said the Wonder was recently refurbished during dry dock...can't wait to see what upgrades they've done since our last sailing! I do know one thing they've add....NINTENDO WII's

I dont know which line will be longer the line to get MM autograph in the atrium or to play with the Wii's lol...
Would love to hear from some of you guys!!!
