Also good advice on putting your name on the magnets! I'll definitely do that!

Yes I was thinking the same thing. We are going to put our names on ours.

I just got back from Kindergarten graduation for my twins. They are part of the class of 2020! Only 2 more days of school then I will have 2 first graders a 3rd grader a 5th grader a 7th grader and an 8th grader. It's funny because I really don't feel as old as that sounds lol.

Patricia thank you for sharing your insight as far as your marital success. DH and I will be married 15 yrs by the time of our Magic cruise so of course I got to thinking about vow renewal myself :) You will have to let me know after the cruise how you felt about it all. Well you don't "have to" but, if you could that would be nice.

Just a few more days until I can book stuff...

well its offical guys.. I am 23! :cool1:
Thank you for all the birthday wishes!!!!

.. it was around 80 degrees here in the Boston area yesterday... It made me want to be on the cruise so bad you have no idea!!!! it cannot come fast enough!

hayley- I LOVE THE PRINCESS ONE!!!! it's perfect! :cutie:

Well, I'm packing up and getting Christopher and I ready to head out to his father's. We leave Saturday for Portland Oregon and I pray we can make it flying space available. Chris hasn't seen his dad in six years so he is very excited. Has anyone ever used the space saver bags? They are awesome! I don't think I could get a weeks worth of clothes in a tiny carry on without them. I highly recommend them to maximize space! I'm going to rent a car in Portland drive around Mt. Hood. I pray I don't get lost. If you hear of a search and rescue team looking for a single woman.....that would be me. I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'll catch up with you all on Sunday.
Patricia, how is the 5K coming along? I haven't heard to :cheer2: for you lately.

Hi, Everyone,

This has been a no-fun, just-work week for me and it's not over! BUT, I didn't have to work tonight and our power was out this afternoon for a couple hours so I got a nap and feel pretty good. So, what did I miss?

well its offical guys.. I am 23! :cool1:
Thank you for all the birthday wishes!!!!

Happy Birthday, Kasey!! Now who here, besides me, is old enough to be Kasey's mother? I don't mean strictly biologically but practically! Raise your hand.

Hayley, any news on the promotion?? I guess you would have told us, right?
The Printshop (or Photoshop) creations are fabulous!

I'm just as excited as you all about this cruise but I don't know if I'll be making the time to create magnets and fish extenders. We'll see. I'd like to. The only magnets I made for our last cruises were from the Mickey Head paint chips from Home Depot. I stamped our names on them and then glued them to magnet paper. If I overcome my frustration with how to set the tension on my old, old sewing machine, maybe when the boys are at Boy Scout camp, I'll carve out time to make a fish extender. The sewing doesn't bother me, it's the decision making about materials. I hate that part. That's why I don't scrapbook either. The one thing that appeals to me is I love shopping for little special presents for people. I rarely have the time anymore, but that kind of shopping I like. All other shopping (shoes, clothes, home furnishings I hate doing.

Before I annoy the heck out of you telling you how I don't have the time for arts and crafts, I want you to know people who complain constantly about how busy they are really irk me. Please don't think I'm complaining or trying to sound like some kind of martyr. I know everyone's busy with something and it's our choice how we spend our time. I think people who are creative and have art or music in their soul make time for those things no matter what else is going on. Most of the time, I am busy doing things I want to do. One of them is sleep enough hours so I have energy the next day. On that note, I just noticed it's past 11pm already.

P.s. Dawn, did you keep the dog?

I missed this post! Wow, that's quite a trip you two have planned. You are in my prayers for safe and stress-free travel.

I love the personalised name things Patricia!! Those are awesome! I have a long way to go on Photoshop before I can do anything like that!

Hayley,

I am sure you'll be doing all kinds of work real soon in photoshop. You learned more in a couple days than I have in a year playing iwth it. Keep up the good work!

Mary,

You are YOUNG!!!! My baby is now a senior in high school! I have one who's in college and our oldest is married and getting ready for our first grandchild!!!! Now, I'm OLD!!!

I will be more than happy to share my thoughts and info on the vow renewal! I am really excited about it!

Kasey,

I can't remember, so if I did not wish you a happy bday, happy belated one now (sorry). Been that kind of week.

Just arrived in Knoxville TN and the temps here this week are MID 90's!!!! Going to be 95 Saturday for the wedding (boy I hope the a/c is working well)!

Well, I'm packing up and getting Christopher and I ready to head out to his father's.

Patricia, how is the 5K coming along? I haven't heard to :cheer2: for you lately.

Dawn,

I hope Christopher has a great time and I think you are an awesome mom to do this for your child!

My 5k training is going very well! I have impressed myself. When I started, running 30 seconds, then 60, then 90 seemed so hard, well this week I am running (granted I run slow) 25 minutes NON STOP!!!! Just under two miles. Hoping to build up to my 3 miles over the next three weeks. Our 5k is June 22 (I think).

Thanks for checking in though, I love to have other cheering me on, helping me realize I can do this.

Dawn- have a safe trip. I would love to see some pics of that area *hint hint* I haven't been west of TX. I haven't used those space saver bags but, they do look awesome. With six kids I could use all the space I can get. I may have to get some.

Patricia I did not know that you were in training for a 5k! That's fantastic!! I have been lax about working out ever since I got back from my 2 trips in April.*beginning of excuse rant*(had my first ever sinus infection that took 2 rounds of meds to finally get rid of)*excuse rant over*

Are you running outside or treadmill? I used to use a stationary bike but, I started having problems with my hips. I switched to an eliptical and that seems to be a lot easier on my hips. Also, I love to swim. Anyway, keep up the good work!! Now I need to get my butt in gear.

Did you do anything fun for your B-day?

Have a sub for me! I really miss the food in Boston. I'll be there in July for my first ever Red Sox game!! Sox vs Yanks. I can't wait!

Ok, if there ends up being two replies, I am not losing it, but my computer connection here is. I am in Tennessee until Sunday and the wireless connection is not that great. I typed an entire reply to you Mary and it's not here! No idea where it went. So, I'll try to recap here.

I started to work out in March. I never liked to before, but now Ilove to go workout. I hate to get up in the am and go, but feel so much better afterwards and I have energy throughout the day. I am running (very slowly) on a treadmill. I go to the Y(mca) five or six days a week. I am doing the 'couch to 5k' training. It's amazing, but takes you from literly no exercise to doing a 5k in nine weeks. It's very gradual and doable. Not that I ever thought I could run 25 minutes (that's what I am up to) when we started and I had to run 30 seconds, lol! I am running just under two miles in that 25, but it's a slow steady pace. This am, I ran here at the hotel in a very small, very HOT fitness room. I am able to actually run faster and if I wasn't so hot I probably could of gone longer (thus going farther) but i couldn't take the heat. I guess I won't type too much here, in case this post disappears too, lol. I am hoping that all my workingout will make me feel better come our vow renewal in september.

Matt (my boyfriend) took me out to dinner on the beach down in Hull.... it was really nice! and then this weekend I'm going out to celebrate with my girlfriends! :cool1:

DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW JEALOUS I AM... RED SOX VS. YANKS!! omg! you're sooooo lucky!:hyper:

Happy belated birthday, Kasey

Right, I have finally got news. This was like giving birth. Well, I went to work today as a Reservations Agent and came home as a Team Leader. I am completely overjoyed, but my head is spinning. I will have my first full shift in the new job tomorrow so I wonder what this will bring.

Corinna,

Congrats!!!! That is awesome news!!! Good luck in your new position tomorrow.

I am sure I mentioned Abbey our pug before, but just wanted to update. Abbey developed diabetes in January. In late April, early May she went blind (very quick). We had her at the vet for ear infections a short time later and hubby asked about her eyes and could anything be done? Well we went to see a specialist (eye's for animals) and our baby has cataracts in both eyes. She is going to have surgery for them on Tuesday am (I am out of town until Sunday night). I am excited that my hubby loves our 'baby' so much to do this. I never would have looked into this knowing that it is ver expensive, but he said we HAVE to, it's our baby. When we left the vet, hubby said, good thing we already have our vow renewal and cruise/land trip all planned and booked, otherwise we wouldn't be going! I'll update you after she has her surgery to let you know if my baby can see my face again!

Congradulations Corinna, that is awesome!

Patricia, I'm so happy for you! You are doing a great great job! I stopped working out months ago and I really need to get back on the band wagon. I'd love to lose 20lbs by cruise time. Keep up the good work!:thumbsup2

Monica, You have been a busy bee. I would never have thought of you as complaining but rather just stating matter of fact. :) Did you ever catch that racoon? We did not get the dog. He is no longer on the pound website so I'm hoping that means he was adopted and not destroyed. Now I have a coworker trying to convince me to take one of her one week old kitten's she found (that would make cat number four for us). I have told her no no no but secretly I wish I could say yes yes yes. They are cute as a button and one is white with gray ears and blue eyes. Just a doll! I wish but have to keep it practical. I am such a softie!

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! Christopher is very excited. I bought him is very first (prepaid) cell phone. It seems silly on some level for a nine year old to have is own cell phone but I really wanted him to have a phone w/ his dad that he could use to reach me and visa versa without having to go through his dad. Christopher's dad said he chartered a fishing boat to take them out fishing and crabbing so I know Chris is going to bubble over with excitement. I am so happy for him. This means so much to him! I'll try to get some pictures but I won't be there that long so I'll do my best. :)
I'll catch up with all of you on Sunday!

I'm not sure if this will work.....but here is a link if your interested in seeing our pictures that Disney took.

Shawn and Nichole, Welcome! (also my fellow Delawareans, small world!!!) I know this is your first cruise (same for several of us), but have you read about or thought about fish extenders? about a possible dismeet on board? And if you are still around and wish to vote for the 'title' of our group, please do so before voting closes. Some of us are making magnets to put on our stateroom doors (there is an entire thread about that and also fish extenders on the regular cruise boards). Again, welcome and jump right in. If you want to join the yahoo group, just pm me (or click on the link in the first post).
