I will be at Disney from October 7 through the 16th. I have heard of this event and wanted some tips.
1. Is admission in addition to the park entrance fee?
2. My grandson is three, will he enjoy it?
3. Since I have all week, which night would be the best night to go? (not too crowded).
4. What other recommendtions do you have.

Thanks in advance.

1. not sure.

1. Admission is by a separate ticket from park admission.
2. I've seen MANY young children there in prior years, in costume, trick-or-treating, and having a great time!
3. Not sure which day you will want to go. Your trip falls around the COlumbus Day holiday, so crowds may be a little heavier. Check the boards for the dates of the Party during your trip and ask!
4. Have hime wear a costume - it makes it a lot more fun to trick-or-treat.

Enjoy!

1. If you arrive to the party AFTER 4:00p, you will ONLY need the party ticket to get in. You will not have to use a day or your park ticket to get in. You will have to buy tickets to this event to get in though.

2. He will LOVE it if he loves Hallween and trick or treating and the characters etc...

3. I would pick Thursday, the 13th because weekdays are less busy and it's far enough away from Columbus day.

4. Have a game plan like what you want to focus on; rides or the Halloween aspect of it; which parade will you see? Do you want to fit in the fireworks? Do you want to eat in the park before it or elsewhere? I prefer eating in the park between 5:00p and 6:00p and I usually see the second parade and do trick or treating and rides during the first parade. I usually get the free photo taken early before it gets too crowded and before we're tired and all messed up!

Good luck!

Hope I'm allowed to post a link to another site. This review is from an adult perspective and a little on the cynical side, but if you just scroll down to the bottom, there is a link to a really good video of last year's party. It helped me decide to go this year.

Ftmill, I would consider going to the party earlier in your vacation. You and your grandson will both be very tired toward the end of your trip. If your grandson would enjoy the characters, you could consider doing a Character dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern that evening. This topic is being discussed in other threads on the Theme Parks board.

If I understand correctly do you mean as long as you have the Halloween ticket that you will be admitted to the park after 4:00? Are you allowed to ride rides or anything? Sorry if its a stupid question. Thanks

Yes! That is correct. But at 6:00p the park closes and they will ask those not going to the party to leave and those staying for the party to go to Tomorrowland (rides will be going) so they can quickly clear out the park in the one hour the park is closed.

Thanks so much!! I had no idea you could get into the park before 7:00. This is even better! :cheer2:

It is a good idea to enter the park around 4:00 for with your MNSSHP ticket. You receive an armband and you can party in Tomorrowland. You can ride the rides or eat. I like to eat before MNSSHP. Eating takes time away from having fun at MNSSHP.
