Last year--I know that tickets went on sale on or about the end of April.

Any word out there as to when they might go on sale this year?

I'm waiting on this info too! It'll be our first time at MNSSHP and we are so excited!! I think we'll try dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern before the party (if they offer it again!).

I looked at last year's dates to try to guess on this years dates.

Me Too! Were flying in on the 31st of October and hope to get tickets for that night!

I came over here specifically for this question! We will be there the 28 of Oct - 4 November and were hoping to go Halloween night!

Just back and looking forward to booking our next trip around these dates when they are released. I've never seen this party and know that I love the Christmas Party, so I am sure I'll love the Halloween Party just as much! Next year hopefully Easter time! :Pinkbounc

We're arriving at WDW on the 30th October ( for or first ever trip!!) and are really keen to go to MNSSHP! I have seena few photographs on various websites but would really like to know what to expect from those who have been! Can you help?

We went last year on the 19th and it was a lot of fun. It is amazing how they "transform" the park so quickly for the party. I won't spoil anything with specifics, but it is well worth the ticket and the crowds weren't a problem at all - don't know what they'd be like closer to Halloween. There's a more relaxed feel to the park, I think, and all the trick-or-treat stations are fun for kids. I have another trip planned this year for the party (and the food and wine festival) It's my favorite time of year to visit.

We attended MNSSHP in 2000 and it was our kids first trip to WDW. We had A LOT of fun. You can't beat Haunted Mansion on Halloween! I thought line were shorter at most of the rides. I've people that have been concerned about crowds, but since you have to have a ticket for the event, I assume the crowds are always managed that way. The parades were crowded (what parades aren't crowded?!), but they were really fun.

The witch flew out of the castle during fireworks! Trick or Treating was definitely not the focus of the evening, but that was cool. There seemed to be more characters out and it's fun seeing them in Halloween costumes!

I've tried to think of negatives and here's what I've come up with. It is a little spendy (we have a family of six!), It's a LATE night for little ones so you might want to plan to sleep in the next day, it's a tough act to follow; in 2000, we were at MNSSHP within hours of leaving the airport here in the Twin Cities and the next morning we went to EPCOT the kids were kind of let down, they wanted EVERYTHING to be like MK on Halloween. That was nothing that Test Track couldn't cure!

Thanks for the tips, especially the one about the lie in the nest morninig! I've no idea how tired the kids will be as this is our 1st trip! Maybe we'll do a water park the next day!
Do most people dress up for the party? I'm not sure I want to take a lot of costumes with me, I think I'll probably have enough luggage without!

You reminded me of another concern we've had, the space it takes to pack costumes! The kids MUST wear costumes on Halloween, so leaving them at home isn't an option. We've tried to find costumes that pack flat and with one exception (Sebstian from Little Mermaid - we got a great deal at Disney Store!) we've done that. Buzz LightYear and princess costumes don't take up a lot of room!

Despite the "negatives" I've pointed out, I would still definitely recommend MNSSHP. We're going on Halloween again this year!

Thanks again, I will get onto the Disney Store! You really have been a great help! The girls can go as princess type costumes but any ideas for a 12 year old boy??
Cheers

a Prince (Cinderella's, Snow White's, Sleeping Beauty's, Ariel's...)
a Pirate (of the Caribbean)
a Circus Ringmaster (Dumbo)
Capt. Hook (Peter Pan)

Good Luck!

P.S. We plan to attend MNSSHP (for the first time) while we are there Oct. 17-26. My DS is 2 and my DD is 4 and I can't wait!

Cathy

Thanks for the suggestions Cathy, I like the idea of the Pirate, and think we could manage that without taking up the whole suitcase with costume stuff! Brilliant!
Gald to see another first timer, everyone else knows so much! Brilliant site though I'm so glad I found it!
Thanks again!

We have group of 15 that will be coming off the Disney Wonder ship on the 30th and heading to WDW. We are going to attend the MNSSHP on Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can not wait!!!!!
