Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party ?

Do you have to meet the Characters to get candy or do they have other trick or treat stations? TIA! :hmghost:

We booked our vacation about a month ago and bought tickets to MNSSHP. Do we get those tickets in the mail or do we pick them up at the park?

You should be receiving your MNSSHP tickets in the mail unless you are a DVC member. If you are DVC, then you have to pick them up at guest services.

MNSSHP is the reason Dh and I go to WDW in October!! Last year we went twice. It is the best time. Ever.
I love watching all of the unique costumes. (Our favorite last year was the family of 5 dressed like Elvis-everyone in the family was Elvis, including the children. When they got their picture taken, they all posed like Elvis. They were a riot!!!)
Dh and I got so much candy it took a carry-on for us to get it all home. We love the parade, The Headless Horseman, the spooky music, the great decorations and the fireworks. We also ate dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern before the party and all of the servers were dressed up!!! All in all, it is a great time-not to be missed!
We have our tickets for October 13 and we cannot wait!

Can anyone, who has attended, tell me the difference between a regular MNSSHP day and a premium MNSSHP day? Besides the $7 to $10 price difference. Also, is there a crowd difference in the days? My birthday falls on one of the premium days, so it might be worth the extra $.

I have no clue what a premium day is and we've been going every year for the past 8 years. Where did you see the changes in pricing? Aside from having discount nights for DVC members, I never recalled a pricing difference.

I know that when you book a date far enough in advance that you save around 7-1o dollars so maybe that's what your seeing:goodvibes

You will LOVE the Halloween party :cool1: :cool1:. We have gone 3 times and love it. As far as costumes....they do not have to be Disney oriented and EVERYBODY (even us big kids) are encouraged to dress up (but it's not mandatory) :cutie:. As you enter the MK for the party, there are CMs right at the front with wristbands (since it's a hard ticket event) and trick-or-treat bags, which everybody gets ::yes::. Plus there is special merchandise that can only be purchased during the party :thumbsup2. The parade is really cool so make sure you get a good seat for that :dance3:. So go and enjoy....you will have a great time  .

The consensus appears to be the price difference is nothing more than demand. The events that they feel will either sell out, or fill up faster are being priced higher. Same thing as pricing in the hotels varying for Value and Holiday season. There is no advance purchase discounts for those nights either. Seems to be the days near Halloween, and on the weekends that they took the discount away from. Maybe trying to get more locals to come during the week or earlier in the year?

Well, that's pretty much what my thoughts were when seeing the pricing for this year. They are charging more for the nights that usually sell out or come close to selling out. Can't say I blame them-they see an opportunity to make more money so their going to take it. We don't go on/near Halloween or on weekends. We always pick during the week when it doesn't seem to be so crowded.

I want to go to this SO BAD! DH thinks I'm nuts and the kids are like "whatever" but I am determined to get us there one of these days!! You will have a wonderful time!!!

We are in the midst of planning a trip to Disney in Oct. and we are taking another family along with us. We've never been to the Not So Scary party and are so looking forward to it! Can anyone help me understand the park hours for this event and if we need a "regular" admission pass in addition to the Not So Scary park ticket? We'd like to go on the day we arrive in Orlando and not sure if the event will start too early for us. Thanks!:dance3:

Hi,
We've got our tickets for MNSSHP for October too, read a ton about it and heard from many people I've talked with at Disney. Reading all these posts makes me wish it was time, haha
DD and DH and I will all be in costume can't wait.

Wow I never knew they did the Halloween party I just thought they did one for Christmas. I will have to tell my husband I think we are definately going to go this year! Thanks for the tips on going during the week!

Amanda
