Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party COSTUME Pictures - post here!

ahhhh, i was reading this when my teen~daughter came into the room.

...fyi, my daughter has that hair since birth. i can't tell how special
she has made our lives, except to say it came from her grandmother,
who she never met. my wife's hair, is as black as snow white.

when she did her first irish dance recital @ the vets memorial, the
crowd ( the 3 rows) in front of me went crazy. so i watching if
she could hear them..she could , & boy did she put her best show.
(6 y/o). on her second trip when she was 4, (2002), on one of
those little boats going back to the lodge, a little girl "made" her
mother asked if she could "sit" by side her. she was too young
to know what was going on but they were just too cute because
she was telling her mother... "she the real ariel!"

just this spring @ d.land, the ariel girl "going in", made her way
over to where we were. she greeted her hi,sis! she also made
some small talk, & when i asked her what it's about , she
only said , "gingers stick together". remember she a teen.

anyhoo...mnsshp, is one of our favorites thing to do. 2004, my
made me wear a merlin costume. the robe ..i ddin't realized
until we were doing the rides...was made more liked a long
dress. i had a heck of time getting in & out the vehicles, :scared:

funny how my misery sure made my wife happy :rolleyes1

anything that reminds me of my dear mother, is a good memory,
so my daughter is spoiled, very spoiled.

We went to MNSSHP on the 14th. I was Tink & my son was Peter Pan (hes 8 months old)

Prepare yourself to awe because hes pretty much the most adorable Peter Pan EVER.

He looks pissed for some reason in this picture but I swear he had a blast!

Hopefully this photo link cooperates.

I am going for comfort and just wearing plain white sneakers. I may buy a couple of big white "puffballs" to attach to the laces, but I haven't though too much about that.

If you are into crocs, I would bet they have a pair of green ones that would match and you could attach a couple of white puff balls to them.

I ended up buying an inexpensive pair of flip flops, and some sparkly green ribbon. I glued the ribbon over the fabric on the top part of the flip flops. I hope it holds together.

Last year my friends and I went on Halloween and we decided to keep it simple, but I created glow in the dark t-shirts and it had our names on the back.

They say, "Official Spookateer" and the eyes on each one of them were a different color (the favorite color of the person wearing it). We also put our hair in pigtails and put on some glitter make-up and had halloween headbands on.

Here is a close up of the shirt:

Great idea ! If you have good craft glue it should stay on. I always use Sobo glue and it does really good on sticking.

Here were our costumes from our 11th Sep party - I was Cheshire, DH was Gurgi. We got a lot of compliments from CMs, one saying DH "made her life" by dressing as Gurgi! :rotfl2: Some others said we had the most creative costumes they'd seen :goodvibes

That awkward moment when Piglet thinks you are dressed as Piglet and tries to kidnap you! :lmao:

And the sad moment he realises you're not Piglet :sad1:

:thumbsup2 We had the same idea for our family.

Where did you find your tops? We haven't been able to find ones like that. Just plain ordinary t-shirts. Those would be ok but it's just not "it".

Thanks!!

This is me as Jeremy from Phineas And Ferb. The only thing is the hair isn't longer and is the wrong color, but I don't think many people will complain about it.

With only two weeks until our vacation that looks to be the way to go. Not much time to left to be looking online, ordering, making them, etc.

Jellyfish from Nemo.

Its hard to see in the pics, but we each had a character on the hats "bouncing on the jellies", except for DS who carried a Bruce around. We got lots more attention than I expected.

I can see why! Those costumes are really neat and original!!! :goodvibes
Did you make them or did you buy them?

Did you make them or did you buy them?

I made the hats (foam board glued to ball hats, bath pouffs for tentacles, bubblewrap and shiny fabric for the tops), but bought the stuffed fish/Bruce, etc.

I used led shoelaces as light up tentacles, and more led lights inside to light up the tops - the blue worked really well once it got dark but the pink ones were very dim.
