Yes.

This is a special event AFTER MK closes and only those who buy the special tickets can enter.

minnie Mouse Maniac...if you're talking about the Halloween Party parades yes you will.

Mickey's Not So Scarey Halloween Party is a Special Event which means you need to purchase a seperate ticket to get into any of the events at the MK any night that a Halloween party is scheduled for.The ticket was not included in you FTP.

Here's the info we have on the DIS about the party.http://wdwinfo.com/holidays/halloween.htm

polkadotminnie...there isn't any "contest" with prizes but an opportunity for the kids to have some fun at the "Mickey's Boo-to-You Halloween Parade" - 3 times nightly children can join the characters in special costume parades through either Frontierland, Fantasyland or Adventureland!

yyum168...I don't think you can but I'll see what I can find out this week.:)

chellnjr...thanks ...you're so sweet!

Just an FYI for people going on October 5th. The 6th is not a school day, well at least its not here in Tampa. We get off for the Jewish holiday. I don't know if this will have any effect on the crowds but I thought I would tell y'all. I will be there that night also so thats why I thought I would give the heads up.

Well, I think our group has finally agreed on costumes. Thanks to everyone for their ideas back on something like page 10 :D . We have 9 adults and I'm pretty sure I have at least 5 dressing up w/ 3 more 95% sure, and 1 I think will refuse no matter what. We are going as Pirates (Pirates of the Carribean (lol)). We will then have 2 Cinderellas (16 mo & 6yr) and one Army Man (10yr DS). Most of the adults in the group are really afraid that nobody else will be dressed up. We are going on Halloween, I told them that we should see at least 1/4 of the adults dressed up--- is this really far off??

Is there any way to know for sure if Ariel will be in her Grotto during MNSSHP? My dd's costume depends on the answer :)

Laurie :)

Is it true the event is sold out as I just saw on the link?? Wow, I just bought my tix yesterday thankfully!

A few questions:

1-Is Liberty Tree Tavern the only restaurant open for PS before the event (say 5-6 pm?). I called and they didn'thave any early seatings left for LTT and weren't showing any rest. open during that time.

2-Is there any way to get into the event before 7 p.m.? I remember some people in year's prior going at 4-5 and them being allowed in??

Since I've never worked a "Not so scary" I may be wrong, but if it's anything like NoJ then you can by "early entry" tickets which let you in after 4. Other wise you have to wait until later. If you tried to get in before your ticket allowed you to then the turnstile would deny you access. Definitely double check that though!!

Ariel's grotto is NOT open for the party.

Crystal Palace, the Castle and Tony's and some counter services are open for dinner between 4:00 and 6:30 and LTT I believe is open longer than the other sit downs taking PS up till 9:00p!

In years prior, they let people in after 4:00p with just their party ticket and did not make them leave. Hopefully, they'll do the same this year but you never know.

I'm sooo excited. It's finally October!! That mean's all of us who having been waiting months for MNSSHP, we are getting very, very close!!!!!!!!!

I getting extremely excited. I'll be at the first one for this year and our third year in a row.

bkline and kilee..I know I was so excited when I realized it was October yesterday!!!

Flower4Pwr and kaf7878.....you can by "early entry" tickets which let you in after 4. They do not have these for MNSSHP.I've never heard of this and neither did thew CM I talked to.Maybe it was just done for a special occasion?

RedNeckChik13...thanks for the info.I'm thinking that early in the month the crowds at MNSSHP will still not be too bad.

laurie31...sorry Arial won't be there in her mermaid wear anyway but she might be behind the castle with Cindy's coach and some other Princesses.

kaf7878....LT is opening throughout the evening for sit down.Unless you can get a PS there EARLY I really suggest eating BEFORE MNSSHP instead of wasting time with dinner during party time! We've eaten at various resort restaurants and RFC like a late lunch then gotten a snack at MNSSHP.

Thanks Baloo and beatty family :)

Belive it or not, I was hoping Ariel *wouldn't* be there!

My dear MIL has made a beautiful Ariel bride costume for my older dd to wear to PSB for her birthday. She also wanted to wear it to MNSSHP, but it's pure white...and long...and heavy. I planned for her to just wear it at the breakfast and then change. I fear she would be miserable wearing it all night at the party. Also, I was hoping to get a nice pic of her in it in WS before the breakfast...so I didn't want it to get dirty at the party. So I've been trying to talk her into wearing her Belle costume (bought on sale, much lighter, shorter, etc.) for MNSSHP, but she insisted that she must wear the Ariel dress for her pic with Ariel. She will also be wearing it to CRT for my younger dd's birthday so I thought we could go straight to Ariel's grotto after breakfast, get the pic, then let her change. So now I can tell her Ariel won't be at the party, she can dress as Belle, and everyone will be happy. (I do know the grotto doesn't open until 10; our PS for CRT is at 9)

Sorry that was long - I'm a bit dizzy from doing the single digit dance ;)

Laurie :)

Just attended the 10/03 party...a few notes:

1) LTT dinner was good. Staff was all in costume plus we saw Minnie, Pluto, Chip N Dale,

The restaurant was crowded but it was fun seeing everyone in costume...by this I mean the guests. A couple of times I thought that another character was at the dinner, but it turned out to be an adult in costume.

2) The decorations were great! Especially liked the giant Stitch in Tomorrowland, the octopus in the same location, the Storytime with Belle alcove (great photo op), and the shop windows. For example, they had the manicans in the stores dressed up as mummies, etc. for the party.

3) The headless horseman rides a real horse! Do not be in the street at the time the parades start...he comes through at a gallop! Due to his speed, he gets way ahead of the rest of the parade...we waited about 15 minutes for the first float to follow him.

4) Haunted mansion was the same ride as usual, nothing special was done inside the ride for the event, as far as I could tell. There were some nice decorations outside, not sure if they are standard at night.

5) Trick or treat spots are marked by a giant green balloon. The best trick or treating is in ToonTown.

6) Rides were not at all crowded....but honestly, the party was better. We rode the Liberty Boat & heard a so-so story there. They also had a men's quartet singing and they were pretty good. Br'er rabbit was on board. Kids aren't allowed to steer the boat at the party due to the audio equipment being in the way.

7) Photos were available for free. By 7:30 lines were very long for this and also for Cinderella's carriage behind the castle. We ended up not doing either because of the wait.

8) Snow White and all of her seven dwarves were near the sword in the stone spot, plus Merlin came out and did a show, so this area was a nightmare (Cindy's coach was right there too).

9) If you don't expect too much with the witch flying out of the castle when fireworks are going off, then it's kindof cool....they did not do this before the fireworks as we expected, but afterwards. From our witch spotting location, we did not have a good view of the fireworks, and we kept waiting on the witch, and the kids got impatient....so for us, this was, unfortunately, the most aggravating part of the party.

10) Wristbands were given out at the park entrance along with a trick or treat bag for each guest.

11) My kids would not nap that day & after an hour of laying there quietly we gave up on it. They konked out about 10:00 at the party and had to be carried back. We took the stroller for the 3 yr old & she went right to sleep....the 7 yr old was heavier!

12) There were more characters and just CMs in costumes than I've ever seen at the park before...keep your eyes peeled!

13) We finished eating at LTT (5:30 PS) around 6:30. Then we wandered around looking at decorations & such. I heard they had stuff going on in Tomorrowland, but we didn't go all the way over there.

All in all a GREAT job done by Disney to make a fantastic party. I highly recommend it to everyone....but if at all possible, get that nap!

Hi Pyedog, thanks for the report back -- I was looking forward to hearing from someone! I'm anxious to hear what was going on at the Diamond Horseshoe this year now that they've removed all the tables from the floor. In the past they had a great halloween themed variety show including the Dapper Dans dressed up as zombies. Any idea of what was going on there this year?

Thanks again!

This from a non MNSSHP goer. We have tickets for the 26th but we were there Friday and decided to hang around as late as possible to see what was going on. We got very excited and came very close to buying tickets and staying that night. It was so neat to see the park transformed. From what we saw it looked great. We can't wait until the end of the month.

We ran into some friends around 6:30. We were all on our way out of the MK. We decided to sit down and chat right near Main Street. A little before 7 it looked like the CMs and the suits were starting to clear people out of the park if you didn't have a purple arm band on. Which we knew and expected since we were told well in advance that the park was closing promptly at 6.

I have a question that I forgot to ask when we were there on Friday. I looked back over most of the post but didn't see a clear answer. We have APs so for us I know it won't be a problem. We also have friends going with us that night to the MNSSP. They are not AP holders. We have PS at 5:15 at CP. Will they be able to get in that early with only their MNSSP ticket? Thanks so much for the help!

OH and someone mentioned about Toon Town being open during the party. We noticed on the MNSSP map that Goofy's Barnstormer is running then. HTH!

Can't wait to read more about everyone's experiences.
