Just attended the 10/03 party...a few notes:
1) LTT dinner was good. Staff was all in costume plus we saw Minnie, Pluto, Chip N Dale,
The restaurant was crowded but it was fun seeing everyone in costume...by this I mean the guests. A couple of times I thought that another character was at the dinner, but it turned out to be an adult in costume.
2) The decorations were great! Especially liked the giant Stitch in Tomorrowland, the octopus in the same location, the Storytime with Belle alcove (great photo op), and the shop windows. For example, they had the manicans in the stores dressed up as mummies, etc. for the party.
3) The headless horseman rides a real horse! Do not be in the street at the time the parades start...he comes through at a gallop! Due to his speed, he gets way ahead of the rest of the parade...we waited about 15 minutes for the first float to follow him.
4) Haunted mansion was the same ride as usual, nothing special was done inside the ride for the event, as far as I could tell. There were some nice decorations outside, not sure if they are standard at night.
5) Trick or treat spots are marked by a giant green balloon. The best trick or treating is in ToonTown.
6) Rides were not at all crowded....but honestly, the party was better. We rode the Liberty Boat & heard a so-so story there. They also had a men's quartet singing and they were pretty good. Br'er rabbit was on board. Kids aren't allowed to steer the boat at the party due to the audio equipment being in the way.
7) Photos were available for free. By 7:30 lines were very long for this and also for Cinderella's carriage behind the castle. We ended up not doing either because of the wait.
8) Snow White and all of her seven dwarves were near the sword in the stone spot, plus Merlin came out and did a show, so this area was a nightmare (Cindy's coach was right there too).
9) If you don't expect too much with the witch flying out of the castle when fireworks are going off, then it's kindof cool....they did not do this before the fireworks as we expected, but afterwards. From our witch spotting location, we did not have a good view of the fireworks, and we kept waiting on the witch, and the kids got impatient....so for us, this was, unfortunately, the most aggravating part of the party.
10) Wristbands were given out at the park entrance along with a trick or treat bag for each guest.
11) My kids would not nap that day & after an hour of laying there quietly we gave up on it. They konked out about 10:00 at the party and had to be carried back. We took the stroller for the 3 yr old & she went right to sleep....the 7 yr old was heavier!
12) There were more characters and just CMs in costumes than I've ever seen at the park before...keep your eyes peeled!
13) We finished eating at LTT (5:30 PS) around 6:30. Then we wandered around looking at decorations & such. I heard they had stuff going on in Tomorrowland, but we didn't go all the way over there.
All in all a GREAT job done by Disney to make a fantastic party. I highly recommend it to everyone....but if at all possible, get that nap!
