Just back from
MNSSHP and it was a blast!
We entered the park at 4:45 and received our purple wristbands and treat bags. Tons of people were entering the park early. There were lots of cast members around directing people to Tomorrowland. Hi Pin Trader from Texas!
We started our evening at the CP and the characters there do not dress up. We watched the park empty. Around 5:45, we tried to walk through Frontierland but it was a ghost town; only cast members directing people to Tomorrowland. There, it was pretty crowded and people were lined up at the candy stations. The rides were open so we hit a few. Before we knew it, it was 7.
About 40% of the adults dressed in costume...or made an attempt with funny headbands or tee shirts. We were dressed as Mouseketeers and were pleasantly amused by the sheer number of people who greeted us by our first names all night long. Pretty funny!
I read Pyedog's post and we had different experiences. We rode lots of rides because the lines were nonexistant. We didn't have to wait in line at all at the family picture station at It's a Small World. BTW -- The cast members at the rides pass out candy too, and often by the handful at the end of the night. The candy was pretty decent and a good variety.
DS is terrified of fireworks so we watched from the bridge near Splash Mountain and missed the witch. The 10pm parade was a treat and no where near as crowded as the regular parades. Headless Horseman was great!
Missed Goofy's Jamboree but Mickey's Philharmagic was awesome!
The 2003 pin features Chip n Dale dressed as ghosts and they make an appearance as such in the parade.
