Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central!

Did you happen to notice if the characters were in costume at Crystal Palace? We were not able to get PS for LTT and am thinking about trying there.

Just back from MNSSHP and it was a blast!

We entered the park at 4:45 and received our purple wristbands and treat bags. Tons of people were entering the park early. There were lots of cast members around directing people to Tomorrowland. Hi Pin Trader from Texas!

We started our evening at the CP and the characters there do not dress up. We watched the park empty. Around 5:45, we tried to walk through Frontierland but it was a ghost town; only cast members directing people to Tomorrowland. There, it was pretty crowded and people were lined up at the candy stations. The rides were open so we hit a few. Before we knew it, it was 7.

About 40% of the adults dressed in costume...or made an attempt with funny headbands or tee shirts. We were dressed as Mouseketeers and were pleasantly amused by the sheer number of people who greeted us by our first names all night long. Pretty funny!

I read Pyedog's post and we had different experiences. We rode lots of rides because the lines were nonexistant. We didn't have to wait in line at all at the family picture station at It's a Small World. BTW -- The cast members at the rides pass out candy too, and often by the handful at the end of the night. The candy was pretty decent and a good variety.

DS is terrified of fireworks so we watched from the bridge near Splash Mountain and missed the witch. The 10pm parade was a treat and no where near as crowded as the regular parades. Headless Horseman was great!

Missed Goofy's Jamboree but Mickey's Philharmagic was awesome!

The 2003 pin features Chip n Dale dressed as ghosts and they make an appearance as such in the parade.

I am LOVING these reports!!!

Thank you Pyedog,Minnie Mi, and mommie2angels!!!

mommie2angels...They are not AP holders. We have PS at 5:15 at CP. Will they be able to get in that early with only their MNSSP ticket? If the are eating with you at CP then YES they CAN get in with just their MNSSHP tickets. You'll tell them at the gate that y'all have PS at CP.

I'm getting sooooooooooooooo excited.I have 8 loooong days until I leave! But the anticipation is half the fun to me!! I'm knee deep in costume making at the moment.Took a break to peek in and see what was going on here...Glad I did! Thanks again!

Dsneygirl, when we made our reservations for CP we were told they would be in costume. We did walk pass there but were not able to get a good look. Maybe someone that has PS there will let us know for sure.

Wow! All the reports from MNSSHP are making me even more excited to go. We are going on the 10th. I have been able to keep my mouth shut and my 7 year old DD thinks we are going to see her Aunt in Jacksonville! I just have to keep my mouth shut until we pull in to the All Star Sports on Thursday. I hope I can do it!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

I'm getting sooooo excited reading everyone's reports!!!!

Just wondering about the picture stations for anybody that has been: Where are they located? It sounds like we need to line up for this first thing and then go onto other party events.

Thanks! :D

Does anyone know if you get a map and/or itinerary for the night with your wristband...

could I be anymore excited!!!:goodvibes ::yes::

Right where you get your map during the day is where you get your MNSSHP map. Right as you enter the park AFTER you go through the ticket booth.

can you get in early:

1- without an AP
2- without a UPH
3- without a park pass
4- without a PS?

I'm pretty sure you can get in early with just your MNSSHP ticket. When we entered the park, we put our pass in the turnstile and no one asked us why we were entering early (even tho we had PS at CP). On Main Street, there were cast members directing everyone wearing a purple wrist band to Tomorrowland. My guess is that they decided to corral everyone in one place to make the early birds happy and give themselves time to decorate the rest of the park.

MNSSHP was definitely the highlight of the trip. The fun was so infectious.

After reading the reports on MNSSHP that are coming in, both my DD-15 and I cannot wait to leave. We have tickets for the 26th and it's our first time to MNSSHP. She turn's 16 on 10/23 and we leave the next morning for an all girl's weekend to celebrate this special ocassion!

Unfortunately though, my daughter read a post and someone mentioned they did not get through half the park during MNSSHP. Now she's worried she may miss something due to lack of time and so much to see and do! She quickly worked her "charm" on her dear old mom (I am an ole' softie--what can I say). Just this afternoon, I ordered tickets for 10/24 the day we arrive!!!! My husband will shoot me when he finds out--hopefully, he'll wait "until after we return!!!!" Hate to miss out on "twice" the fun!

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

P.S. My tickets will be left at will call since we leave in just about two weeks. First, has anyone ever picked up tickets at will call and can tell me where about I need to go? Also, does anyone know if I can have the tickets sent over to the resort so they are there when we check in?? It would be much easier. I'm thinking the lines at will call could be very long.

How funny! I'm also going the 26th and have been thinking the exact same thing! The 24 would be tough on me (I'll be getting up at 4 to travel that day) but I've been thinking about the 30th.

I would definitely recommend going to MNSSHP. No crowds........most rides were a walk-on. The decorations were great.......very foggy after about 10pm. You can get in at least after 5(we didn't make it any earlier). If I had it to do over, I would go twice. There are so many characters there that it is hard to do everything and also get pix and autographs, even with little or no waits. Mickey's Philharmonic was awesome. Ariel's Grotto was not open. Can't tell you much about Tomorrowland, cuz we never made it there. Friend and her daughter didn't want to ride those rides, so we just rode everything else..............actually we wouldn't have had time to get over there anyway, unless we had done this between 6 and 7, but we had to grab a bite to eat. Fantasyland was almost a ghost town between 7 and about 8:30 or 9. Weather was perfect....not too hot!

MinnieGi...picture locations are:

Outside Hall of Pres in Liberty Sq
Outside Small World in Fantasyland
Outside and across from Alien Encounter

princess lovers mom....you'll receive a map as you come in the park or if you're earlier with your wristband. The map tells you where and when things are happening during MNSSHP the night you're there.

sln88...yes you can...how early is still a mystery to me anyway. :D From what Minnie Mi says she got in at 4:45,even though she had a PS in the park she wasn't stopped or questioned...so I'd say go for it! My family is going to try for 4:30-5pm next week while we're there!

disneyfanatic60...I do not think you can get them at the resort. Will Call is at the Ticket and Transportation Center. You could go pick up your tickets earlier in the day.If you're driving tell them at the gate that you are picking up tickets and you will NOT have to pay for parking.

would anyone happen to have any more pictures to post...I would love to see them :) Oh ... would anyone have a copy of the map to post too? I want to get ready :) thanks in advance

No, it is last year's. I doubt anyone has been able to scan in this year's yet.

I believe it will be pretty much the same from reports I've read.
